Ok at the moment but ill def lyk if i do. Though ill prob be back grinding the 7s before i get backed. Just something about giving away part of my profits to someone doing NOTHING (jk obv) that would hurt my soul too much.

Gl snapping out of it. Think gramps said either here or some thread, not as much about keeping pace as it is keeping sanity. Long way to go and as long as you dont do something like blow your roll or completely **** your game up youll leave yourself with a shot.

I could its just that if im gonna be at the tables i want to be putting those hours to work. And with how shaky my "deeper" stacked game is idk if my winrate would be that much higher at turbos. But its def a time to switch some things up. ty and gl yourself

Hmm so you included what SNE rakeback is worth and compared it to what my table profit and rb would be from grinding 9m hypers. You do realize that if i end up running normal or even close to it ill make low-mid 5 figures from table profit, and thats not accounting for me getting better either.

I def think about what you did last year and lot and makes me realize that no matter where im it SNE is possible, esp this early. Also would be pretty disheartening if i started year with 5 fig roll and backup life money and couldnt accomplish what you did last year starting with neg dollars. thx and glgl.

I was rooting for Ruse to be the first SNE in years playing only 9-man, but the cool kids talked him into trying da 6-mans. Should make his own decisions obv. - it's just fun to peanut-gallery-suggest 13 different ways for him to get SNE/not get SNE, since he's been mixing and matching.
And like Sandman said, you can mostly keep pace at the $30s, or even get there at the $30s if you're a volume sicko. Once the sanity is back and the roll is better, it's very doable to do 100k VPP+ months mixing in $60s and $100s.
And Ruse would be pretty sick value for a SNE staker IMO, even on a very favorable split for him. Though pulling out of the $EV funk, grinding it back a bit, and SNE'ing on your own roll with decent pre-RB profit at this point would be awesome and epic.
GOGOGOGO!!!!!
Eh it wasnt as much the cool kids talking me into it as it was the lack of traffic past 6pm. We dont all go to bed when the sun goes down
I know i could get a good cut with my exp and rep, and am prob hurting my hourly playing lower on my own. But i honestly stress more about swings when its someone elses money and dont want to fall into the MU trap. Would rather play it a bit more risky with the BRM now, move down when necessary, and save the backing for end of year if i need to make a big push. Im sure youll give me some more good advice along the way though

So true. Kinda like a marathon, Youre not gonna finish it in the first hour so risking killing yourself by keeping pace isnt as smart as easing up a bit and saving yourself for the long run.
Esp someone like me who hasnt experienced swings like this before. Theres so many guys that do 1/3 of SNE in a month or two, and i know i have the grind ethic to do 2x pace to finish up if i need, so like you said maintaing confidence and sanity is important this early.

Its possible even on 15+30, but surely it would take much more gridning time than 60-100$ 6m.
Moving donw to build up your confidence and roll is the right thing to do here, you wont fall behind pace much, gl ruse, keep on truckin
Ha didnt see this before i posted it to DD. Def a big part of it. And 9m traffic makes it impossible to just grind those, and if im gonna mix in 6m and be close to 800k or so am i supposed to just be happy with that?

Tons people suggesting move down to rebuild confidence itt. Which I don't disagree nor agree with.
How about this (as a second option) - work on regaining confidence off the tables whilst playing at your current level given that you have an edge there. Mental game of poker book should be helpful with that....
thx for kind words. Im pretty stubborn and not sure how much stuff like that would help me, even if i did dedicate the time to it. For me i think its more i need to get on track with healthy eating and exercise, sleeping habits, etc. Sippin has talked a lot about MGOP so maybe i can pick his brain for some shortcuts or something.

Yeah once i sat down and starting crushing vpp/hour and rb numbers its just a no brainer.

I work at a real job for 55 hours a week but your thread has encouraged me to put in 3k games a month, hopefully one day enjoying the lifestyle you guys have.
thx man. Was just talking to a buddy today about no matter how bad it gets and how gross the downswings, isnt really another job id rather be doing. And when i think back to how much i used to dream of being able to play poker for a living, and im still making 30-40 an hour being 5 fig under ev for the year, i need to just stfu and grind.
Apoligize if missed anyone. Rolls back up to 7k and id unblocked 60s for the weekend. But just did a night grind with 15-30 6-9m and really liked it. Got up to around 20 tables and was just zoning out and grinding. Kinda like i used to. VPPs and hourly might be a tad higher mixing 60s but for sanity and br reasons i think ill reblock the 60s and keep those.
Gl everyone and get those SteveM chippersons coming in.
