Getting on the grind finally at the top of the hour, put up a thread looking for mid-hsmtt backing and got a deal lined up in <1 hour, will be adding in bigs/hots during peak hours and then the really soft nighttime sched if I'm playing offpeak, and now going to dedicate Saturday/Sunday to 100% MTT grinds....the games are horrid all day Sunday (to where I haven't been playing Sundays) and Saturday afternoon games can get quite reggy as well, so I'm not even really missing anything.

Also gonna be nice to see jdawg in some tourneys again. Guessing you never made that bet about no tourneys all year? If you don't mind saying, how come you decided to look elsewhere for a mtt backer? Wouldn't it have been easier to have everything under the umbrella of zima (especially when it comes to tracking who's money is who's and everything), or did you just prefer to keep the swings of mtt separate from your hyper income?

Correct, that bet never happened and I'm glad it didn't . I sat around and was thinking today, and realized that I lack motivation sometimes when it's just the monotonous SNG grind and I'm getting pwned, the ability to be able to bink a tourney any day and have a big score I'm hoping is going to renew the hunger to grind. I was mixing in MTTs almost every day at the end of 2012 and I was actually putting in decent hours (for me), so I'm going to go back to that and see if I can get myself loading more, because you never know when that next MTT bink is going to come!

I'm not backed by Zima, but yea, my backer doesn't really want the MTT variance on our stake and I also dont want to lose my SNG profit's in MTTs so I don't want it on the stake either; and now with me having 50% of my own SNG action, it would just get messy if we tried to figure out a fair way to get it on the stake dime, so I looked for a backer for MTTs only.

On top of all of that, I seriously don't think I've played a full day of SNGs on a Sunday yet this year because the games have been really gross as per the norm on Sundays; so instead of sitting around doing nothing, at least I'll be playing a +EV schedule of majors across all the sites giving myself plenty of chances to bink! Mixing up what I play (playing 2 days of MTTs only) could also help me get out of that boring routine of just hyper grinding as well, I'm hoping something will help me find that hunger

Heh yea, I do, but it's not Zima. He doesn't have all of MO's action this yr, but obviously not going to discuss further as that wouldn't be appropriate

haha yeah no worries, obv wouldn't be appropriate. At least I can be sure I'm not illiterate now. Although if you are friends with mouldy def tell him that even though he isn't going after team online type stuff he should still do a blog about winning first sne race!

Elio and I split Mouldy's action with another person (jdawgs backer). The other guy is really good at poker and should be able to help Mouldy with his game when he is deeper (the first few levels of hypers).


Also, if we decide to go hard during WCOOP/SCOOP satties, the swings for 1700-3500s are gonna be ridic. Not even sure if MO will be playing a lot of those (just depends on a few things). Elio and i could have prolly taken the swings on our own, but MO really thought the other guy would add a lot to the staking relationship.

Pretty good. Padding bankroll feels really good. Just that underlying stress of needing to start having a contingency dropdown plan in place makes downswings even worse. Only have like 250 abis now so im not completely secure by any means but I can play the games i want now and mixing in 9m at all times should make that roll bigger than it would have been before. Also getting close to 200k+ tiers so better rb will be good for the roll.

Interesting stuff about backing someone like MO. At that level and with those swings having both a team of coaches and two backers to financially deal with swings seems like a pretty good idea.

Thinking about mixing in some 18m at some point of the day. Not sure when would be good. Maybe late at night cause theres almost no 9m going off so it sucks to keep table space open and get out of 6m grinding mindset for 1-2 games total of non 9m but those games are pretty good and mixing a few 18m in would make it more worthwhile and lengthen sessions and add some rake +table profit.

Haha yea, I threw up that thread up hoping I would have backing lined up by the time I got back to Mexico (March 5th), but then got it done in <1 hour and didn't even think about the freerolls and started regging last night, so yea, gonna end up having to pay out all 1k after the worst month I've ever had, pretty sweet. Learned my lesson though....don't offer freerolls anymore

Woke up about an hour ago, late reg'd the Big 109 and playing my 'peak' mtts right now while taking care of some business on skype, will probably get in a short session of hypers this afternoon; have like a 2 hr break after the hot 44/51 hyper start before my next MTT starts, so will probably run down to mongolian grill when I'm done with those and grab food and get back up here in time to jump in the 162 N50k and then will be on the grind all night.

May or may not play on Tuesday, not really sure yet. Won't take long to pack but I'm gonna have to have someone print out my boarding pass as my printer isn't working and I've been too lazy to replace it, might go get dinner with some of the Rosa bros too.

I think now that I have my MTT's seperate from my own $'s/stake BR (which is what i did in 2012), I won't sweat the swings as much and will for sure put in the volume at them. Grinding full weekend MTT schedules is also something I've been wanting to do and I've got a schedule planned out already which I'll link in my month end post

Super ****ty month, but what can you do, they happen sometimes. Pretty disappointed in the effort I put forth, but it's pretty hard to get yourself to load while you're being consistently crushed, but that's still not a good enough excuse in my book. Hopefully March will be better, can't get much worse than this month!

Anyway, yea, not much else to say besides that this month was an utter failure. Looking forward to FTOPs in March and tbh just looking forward to grinding some full weekends of MTTs, hopefully will bink something right off the bat!

Don't really have any specific goals in mind for March, just planning on getting back on March 5th and grinding my ass off. A break can always be a nice thing. Always sucks when you go to work, and lose money. still never really feels right for stuff like that to happen (even though it happens quite a lot, ha ha). sure you will turn it around soon.
