We both just buy the 100k fpp bonuses. Anything but that, concierge or certain high buyin tourney tickets is burning money.

I'm a bit late to the party but I just wanted to drop in and wish both of you bros a lot of luck next year. This thread will be fun to follow and I will surely waste some money reading this instead of playing.

best of luck to you guys for 2013!
    12-31-2012 , 05:20 PM
Jdawg, any particular reason you choose to have your preferred seat in 6max as bottom left?

Wondering because I always choose bottom right on every network since it's closer to the controls
    12-31-2012 , 06:37 PM
    All done

So glad i decided to switch to 6m...

Happy NYE everyone. Will post some yearly graphs tonight or tmrw. Looking forward to Jdawg getting back in town and on the grind so we can get this thing going.

despite constant doubt from other people who questioned their profession Im sure, and then have it all crashing down and hear "I told you so" from all those people.
I got more of this than any other reply from people I know outside of poker. It made me a little sick and quickly ended some friendships.
Not to compare my situation with people who have families. I had a good amount (most of my net worth) on FTP and it hurt like hell but I am single and young (well, not by 2p2 standards).

DD's question is one I think about a lot. I think it definitely made a lot of regs take poker more seriously. I'm making less hourly than I did pre-BF but have taken everything more seriously and put in more hours.

The negative side, besides the obvious, is the constant stress I feel. Do you get that too?
I used to be so content being able to barely play at all, make $10k in a month and then take a few weeks off. No worries in the world. If $$ got low I could just grind out a few months expenses worth and take off again.
Now I feel this constant pressure to make and save as much as I can because "who knows when another BlackFriday comes" or maybe the games die in a year or two, or whatever.

^^ Ewww, good lucking redline though!

Definitely stoked to get back, get back on a regular schedule, eat a bit better, and make some $$sies!

Yea what Ruse said was good; my own personal experience is it got me to kinda turn it up a notch, although I was still fairly lazy in 2012, but I truly think that will change in 2013.

Yea I only buy the $1600 bonuses for 100k fpps, they get split with my backer, same % as my profit cut (70%)

I don't think all the songs were from the same album, but that was 100% pearl jam. I used camtasia to record the session, program is the nuts.

Lol yea guys like that are the mass tabling regs that usually get CRUSHED when they try to move up because they have NFI what the F they are doing.

Torturous way to make that small amount of money

Tablecounter shoulda been in view the whole time, I was playing 30s-60s that session so I think I quickly got up to 18+ tables as those games obv pop quicker than 100s-200s, although when we get 6regging the 200s, they pop quick too .

During the meat of that session, I woulda assume I always had 18+ up, think I hit 26 although I don't remember as it was a while ago and I didn't go back and look

Yea I tried to switch to bottom right and didn't like it; think I'm so used to bottom left now I cant switch.

Hope everyone is having a good NYE, mines been ****ty and I'm not going out because I have nobody to do anything with, but w/e....just makes me more hungry to get back to Mexico and get back on the grind. No longer playing the 3.2k CPC ME, probably wont be going back to Illinois for the foreseeable future.

Hoping to get into a better diet and exercise routine, I'm going to throw losing 40+ pounds in 2013 into my goals, won't be working THAT hard on all of this but I'm going to cut soda out completely in 2013 (I have been cutting back the past 2 months a bit) and replace it with tea when I want to get that caffeine in the morning. Besides that, just not eating out at restaurants 5+ times a week should help...the meal at the restaurant isn't usually the biggest problem, it's just the fact that when I go out, I usually end up drinking all night and rarely just eat and then go straight home.

So combining that with getting in at least a light 30 minute workout per day should help; even if I'm just doing situps/pushups/wallsits or something like that while watching 1-2 ep's of south park, fam guy, w/e it might be....it'll all help. I'm a good amount overweight and at the age of 21, I need to make a change in my life now, or nothing will ever change most likely.

    Anyway enough rambling, glgl everyone!
    01-01-2013 , 07:27 AM
    Good luck, poker bros!
    01-01-2013 , 08:05 AM
Also switch to drinks like whiskey, gin, etc etc instead of beer, that helps a lot

Yeah counter was there, you did hit 26 and most of the time had more than 20 up. You manually reg right? I guess no one uses table ninja for it so they could table select

gl in the new year boyz

I'd like to see some interesting prop bets between you guys that involve hilarious punishments for the loser. Similar to the 2 months 2 million stuff.
    01-01-2013 , 01:43 PM
Old withered you 20 years from now is nodding, saying "good call."

Besides, decent-to-good diet + at least moderate exercise every day helps your body & brain deal with the poker grind/stress much better.
    01-01-2013 , 02:07 PM
dropping soda is huge. i quit soda in my late teens and now i don't even like the taste of it any more. it's just so a useless thing and sooo bad for you.

switching from beer to liquor is good, something I need to do also. but beer goes so good with so much stuff .

you should do frequency pushups/chinups throught the day, just do at least 4 sets per day of like 80% of what your max would be.
add in 15 mins of some cardio. swimming, jogging, treadmill, shadow-boxing. every other day or something would be fine.
would be great if you could get into a real gym and start a lifting program.
^^ that's more for getting in shape than losing weight. losing weight is all about diet and people who try to exercise to lose weight usually end up doing the opposite (working out makes you more hungry)
    01-01-2013 , 02:12 PM
    gl in 2013!
