Played 2,300 hands yesterday, so the roomate gets the freeroll win and a couple free cervezas! Would normally be a disappointing volume day but we got so much done in terms of health and happiness that it wasn't a bad Friday to miss out on volume.

We took to the beach in the afternoon for one of the nicest weather days since I've lived here in Rosa.. made a makeshift pitch for some 2v2, played a warmup game to 6 where Patman and I stood no chance vs Matt (FireOnTheMountin13) and Jono (Gawa9) although i believe we avoided the shutout in losing 6-1 if memory serves correct. After a short break we decided on a World Cup match Ireland vs USA (exciting matchup I know, two powerhouses) and played for what seemed like an hour and a half nonstop. We were laughing, panting, and occasionally there was some good football played as well. Being a glutton for punishment when the game was close late I made sure there was a 'win by two rule' which extended the game at least 100% and in a war of attrition Ireland won (a shock to the world of football) to the tune of a 9-7 final. Variance.

After that we took to Rosarito Beach pizza, think all of us but Matt it was our first time. As soon as i walked in it smelled like home.. Boston or NY brick oven, small menu of pizza pasta and grinders, and it did not disappoint. To be three or four thousand miles from the only consistently good pizza in the world and have a good slice was a real treat, even the Irish were impressed.

With all good days that volume slacks comes a makeup day, so the freeroll is the same... I'll extend it to 5 posters in case anyone besides my m8s wants to step in.. must mention the freeroll in your post!

$10/ea if i don't meet my goal of 6k hands played before I head to sleep, playing any games at 100NL.

GL to you all at the tables and grind on!

Was a pretty wild weekend for me, I have been feeling kind of sick this week and my volume has suffered immensely. I did manage to get focused and healthy enough for a long Sunday grind, selling a large portion of my action on 2p2 and very nearly making everyone involved very happy. It felt good to play 6-12 tables for a large chunk of time like I used to, I'm getting more comfortable back in the MTT game and look forward to each and every Sunday. Had my first final table since being back on stars getting 4th in a 6 max hyper, and a deep run in the Sunday Six Max after a deep run in the Bigger 109 last week. It's so close I can taste it! I missed that feeling and think it's a perfect thing to do once a week to break up the monotony of the cash grind.

Came away from my FT busting on a hand where i made a very marginal mistake, raise calling a hand that was a fractional percentage loser in ICM calculations, so it's nice to be getting in these spots and having friends who can help me relearn and sort things out. Beating your head against the wall and never trying to improve does nothing so I like to try and find things to fix as often as I can. Not all was lost as I cashed 11 tournaments in a 42 tournament schedule and profited around $1k.

As far as my February goals go I need to get healthy and get grinding. Maybe two weeks off from drinking with the Irish lads would do wonders, but easier said than done. Gonna try to be that guy at the bar drinking water until I get back on track with my volume and health. I've played about 15k hands which is rather laughable, and after a solid Sunday yesterday I need to make this week count.

My goal for the week is to have played 30k hands between Monday and Saturday night. Hopefully my health will bounce back and cooperate. I also would like to go into the next week having successfully positioned myself to be playing or start playing 200NL.

Here is the graph of my 100NL hands thus far, I think if I had put in proper volume it's very likely I would have already eclipsed the 30bi mark as things did not go very well for me over the small downward trend and I held it together very well, just didn't play enough hands to show a rebound..

I will offer a $25 freeroll to any four posters who opt in for the 30k hand goal.

So imageshack got me with the trial and all my photos are disappearing, switching to photobucket to avoid problems in the future. Played my first mix of 200 at the end of my grind day today. Just felt really comfortable with my game and wanted to mix it in, ran hot and won some money. More importantly I feel like I'm coming around this cold so health wise I should have no excuse to make a desperate run at my 30k hand goal. As you'll see with the week graph i'm about to post I have some ground to make up, but healthy happy and excited to try. Probably going to start tomorrow playing 100NL still but if I continue to feel comfortable I'll be mixing in or taking solid shots at 200NL throughout the week.

Still 3 spots in the freeroll available, even though I was under the weather i'll always honor the freerolls barring crazy circumstances. here's the week so far..

And here's were we've come since I relocated, time to get some hands in and reach profitville, shiiii...

Ship GAWA the freeroll, that'll cover a lot of cervesas down here buddy! saved $75 by not having a popular enough thread at least I am not at all unhappy I missed my goal this week, I made the transition to 200NL exclusively and cut down on tables and pretty much threw the 30k hand goal out the window halfway thru. Between wanting to focus on my spots and opponents more at a higher stake, power outages on two separate occasions, and the illness at the beginning of the week it was an uphill battle.

I spent more time studying/reviewing hands that I was playing, and although I could've dedicated more time to poker I had a much more entertaining time keeping the good balance. Went to a salsa bar in TJ with Patman, Patwoman, our buddy Pete and some of Patwoman's friends and had a blast. It's a much more relaxed feel than american bars where every girl is really snobby/picky, only willing to dance or chat if there's an exact number of matching friends in the two groups, or something similar. There were people of all ages, the music was provided by a live band, and most everyone danced and chatted with people they didn't know/groups they didn't come with. A+ night.

Got a big Sunday tomorrow playing another full schedule of Stars GTDs on a package sold in the 2p2 marketplace. Trying to bring back some $$ to the folks here and become the best value buy in poker by keeping my promise to not charge markup until I'm super financially secure and incredibly confident that I am crushing what I'm playing rather than just winning at a decent clip. Should be fun!

This is the graph for the week, as you can see I only played around 14,000 hands but more than half of that was at 200NL, I believe after Tuesday all of it was 200NL.

As far as my goals for next week I'll probably post another week long freeroll on Sunday evening or monday, but it will be hours based and not hands based as I get a feel for how many tables I want to play, hands I expect, and the best way for me to attack the 200NL pool. thanks for stopping in!

P.S. finally hit profit since we've been back on stars, time to shoot upwards over a long 200NL grind!

Been a wild week! Mix in a successful Sunday package with some massive Internet issues and sprinkle in some time dedicated to conversation and a date with a nice woman and the result is not much posted here. I have slacked on volume in cash but profited greatly recently, I have mixed feelings about that. However I am thoroughly enjoying my time here recently between good friends I had and good friends I've met so not all is lost. I will be thinking hard on some volume goals to end the month and doing another package I presume this Sunday (The ROcK is HottT) but tomorrow will likely be a short grind before a night of craziness with my new Amiga and some great friends. So I will not decide on any goals tonight.

Hope you all are njoying some luck I will try to keep this promise to update a bit more in the coming days! Will be a sprint to mid March when I take a brief hiatus back to Vegas. GL at the tables!

Definitely been busy with life and such recently. Not all has been positive but overall I feel good about what's going on, and the efforts I'm making to improve what's not great.

As far as poker goes I'm excited tonight and tomorrow to put some real cash volume in for the first time in about a week. The last three Sunday MTT sessions have been profitable, which is obviously great and means I've run very well, after getting stuck a bunch in tournaments to start I'm now up about 12k in raw numbers in MTTs since returning to stars. I've been happy to share a lot of the recent success with 2p2 investors, and look forward to packages in the future. Had my first MTT win last Sunday in one of the 6-max hypers ($82 bi, unfortunately not in 2p2 package as my Sunday plans were way too late to sell publicly) since returning and now it's time to put in some cash volume.

Will be posting graphs of the 200NL grind as I get back to a heavy amount of cash here for the next two days. Not sure what the weekend will bring as there may be a lot of socializing involved but I'm planning on playing a minimum of 15 hours between today and tomorrow as I move away from hands played goals.

Hope you all are having a good start to the year, after this weekend I will be getting back to more vigorous and specific volume goals as I enter March and the 3 weeks until I head to Vegas for a bit.
