After playing exclusively PLO online for a living the past 4 years, I
finally learned what variance was. I went on a hiatus and didn't look at another hand for a few months. (Something I've never done)
I had an urge to play live poker and only NLHE was running, so i jumped in. I enjoyed it so much (to my surprise), I decided to go home and play 1/2z for 20k hands.
Here are the Results:
This is all while playing 4 tables of fast fold poker. (site undisclosed as its a small player pool)
In here i probably punted like 7 buy ins due to lack of theoretical knowledge and ending up in weird spots/tilt.
Now, I know these stats are not optimal what so ever, so i decided if I'm still going to play this game i need to study GTOW and construct proper preflop ranges and review all my hands(i literally played off feel). If anyone has any advice just based on what they see (I know small sample). The obvious thing i see is being too tight in the blinds. (This is from feeling my game isn't strong enough right now to battle regs OOP) Any advice is very welcome.
Also not calling 3bets enough? and not 4 betting enough?
I feel my results are pretty good for someone who hasn't studied hold em for 7 years. It makes me think I can be one of the biggest winners in this player pool if I study. (IDK if delusional?)
I'm new to 2+2 after lurking about 5 years ago and I created this thread to hold myself accountable by keeping you guys updated on my goals.
I hope to create an epic thread that i can use to inspire all players around the world.
