Sup guys my name is David, 31 years old grinder from Cali. I’ve been a 1/3 pro for 2 years now booking 3000 hrs in the process. I won’t go into specific detail what part of Cali or Casino I play at because I prefer no one I know IRL reading this. This will allow me to share other parts of my life as truthful as possible without fear of being embarrassed

I’ve never been to the WSOP before and would like to make that trip next year. My goal as titled of the thread is to have 100k bank/life roll by that time so I can play 2/5, 5/10 and a few 1k tourneys.

My current roll is at 32K.

Short term goals:

March

Book 160 hr, Exercise for 30m 20/30 days.

Misplaying rivers

$1000 deep stack $1/$3

HJ who open limps a lot raises to 15, i call on the button with 99, BB calls aswell.

Flop 845r checks to me I bet 25, only BB calls

Turn 3 BB checks I bet 70 and he again calls

River 10. Bb checks again. I think about value betting but was a lil afraid BB might put in a crazy check raise so I check behind, BB says small pair and we win.

This hand tilts me so much because I knew I should value bet but some fear kicked in and I checked back like a *****.

Maximum exploitative play

1/3 NL

Fish limps, hero raises to 15 with QQ, Lady in the SB who is a recreation reg that I played with multiple occasions 3B to 45. She has 200$ to start the hand. Hero folds.

Standard theory play would be to gii with QQ here but because I have never seen her 3b Jj or AK (aways flat) and always have Kk AA, maybe QQ. I elect to just fold QQ. At 200$ deep calling another 30$ to set mine we don’t have good odds since 8.5x30 is 255 and pot will only be 245. Also the times we get stacked on AQx or KQx or not get action from Kk on AQx and the times we still lose on Qxx (8%) makes this an easy fold

Weekly Recap

This week went extremely well. I was able to exercise 4/7 days by stretching, running in one place and shadow boxing. I prefer to exercise at home so I can save time and money although it’s not as productive as going to the gym, it’s a good start for someone who hasn’t done any physical activities in the last 5 years.

I played 5 sessions of poker for a total of 36hrs, a lil shy of the 40hr average. Fortunately, I ran pretty good and booked 5 winning sessions in a row for a total profit of +2927!
