HI There

Today my poker blog start here

I'm form Italy and I playing online since 2016.
In the first years I played cash, mtt, sng in micro/low stakes without a precise plan, although in last years i've invest in mtt course and some coaching hours to improve quality of my game on Mtt.

I'm defined a part-time / amateur player: in real life i've a 8/18 job, and over the sport and family , i founding time to playing 2-3 mtt session per week.

Current Game:
After many months of stop i recently re-start to grind mtt in .it rooms from abi 5, mainly to re-build my roll selecting tournaments with <500 player fields. ( Yeah mtt has not best option for the time spending, but in .it field at this level it can be really easy money for building roll )

Short Term Obj:
In 3-6 month I would like to continue build further my roll and gradually switching in cash game discipline, investing in coaching and maintain mtt session in week end and Sunday.

Long Term ObJ (Highly variable)
Stabilize in a low / mid stakes cash game levels (hope that in a future Italy will open to shared liquidity ) and arrive at least one time to playing in one of major European poker circuit.

At the moment i continue in my roll building sessions with micro mtts
I will use this blog for share good placements, hands and above all i hope you find interesting this!

GG

Rider

Hey Rider,

Congratulations on starting your poker blog!
It's great to have you here, and we're excited to hear about your poker journey.

It's commendable that you've taken the initiative to invest in an MTT course and coaching to enhance your game.
Continuous improvement is essential in poker, and it sounds like you're on the right track.

Being a part-time/amateur player can be challenging, juggling your job, family, and sports activities.
Yet, it's impressive that you manage to find time for 2-3 MTT sessions per week.
Consistency is key, and your dedication will undoubtedly pay off.

Your short-term objectives of continuing to build your bankroll and transitioning into cash games with coaching support sound like a solid plan.
Combining MTT sessions on weekends and Sundays can strike a balance between your two poker disciplines.

In the long term, aiming to stabilize in low to mid-stakes cash games and eventually participating in major European poker circuits is an ambitious yet achievable goal.
Shared liquidity in Italy would indeed open up exciting opportunities for players like you.

Welcome, and good luck with your poker journey!

Good Monday players!

Yesterday i've made a not significant session. I've opened few games beacause i'm back home late from a Sunday afternoon hiking, but as I didn't feel too tired i've decided to start the same:

Number of games: 6

Avg Buy-In: 5

Total Spending: 30,5

Profit/Loss: -10,5

In particular i'm focused only on Microseries Mtt on PS.

*********************

Reflection about the spending average:

In past i've read and listen more opinions about mtt session spending %.
I'm trying actually to stay in 5% max of the range. I think that for this level until abi 15 in.it field it can be a good compromise ( if there are special events this % can be higher.)
P.s i'm curious to listen your approach about mtt spending.

Today Session: Usually don't play session in 2 consecutive day but tonight i'm feel ok despite tomorrow morning my alarm clock rings at 06:30 !!

We will update tomorrow !

Hi There!

Below you can see the recap of past week from 07/24 to 07/30 :

Number of games: 33

Avg Buy-In: 4,9

Total Spending: 162,1

Profit/Loss: +48,92

Overall Month July: +294

Thoughts:

Not relevant placement this week until a third place of last evening in a 5 KO 1K GTD on a iPoker. This place helped me to close this week in a positive.

Monday and Friday session i've played without 100% energy because i'm started session after work, in any case for the moment i'm tabling still in 6x ( i thing after a long stop period is a good think to rehabit focus).

This first part of my blog it seem a bankroll-builder story or challenge started from micro stakes and actually it kind of is.

For the moment, the journey continues albeit at a slow pace.

Hi There!

My poker week is ended ( unfortunately with 0 itm!)

I've made session playing in Thrusday and Friday.
Today and tomorrow i will not playing because i'm leave in hiking tour in mountain.

Week's stats:

Number of games: 25

Avg Buy-In: 4,4

Total Spending: 110

Profit/Loss: -102,5

These 2 session is affected by many unlucky spot but i recognized that my focus was not great in a big part of sessions especially in friday.

I recognize that rehabit my focus gradually for multi tabling is one of the most important objects after many months of pause.

We see next week!

Have a nice and profitable week end guys!

Yesterday was the first session of the week.
I've opened only 5MTT + 1 Sat and i've collected a 2nd placement in a 3 Euro R/A on a Ipoker Circuit

Number of games: 6

Avg Buy-In: 4,5

Total Spending: 27,5

Profit/Loss: +219,5

Very lucky session and in HU i've fight against a good regular of small stakes.

After making a little sample of hands in these weeks since i've re-started with poker, i'm going to study preflop situations and train post flop with softwares.

What's you favourite poker software for pre and post flop analysis?

Hi there,

After months of distance i'm come back to update my blog.

In the last part of 2023 i'm continued to grinding few mtts, but the best thing is that i'm joined in a good private study group where i'm commited constantly to study with some pros and amateurs and with live coaching group. ( I thinks this is a good idea for start to studying deep with small bankrool).

Expecially fort the moment i want continue to spent more time in studiyng than grinding because i need to work and improve in many things. My game was stopped for long time..

So, in December i'm played my first mtt live after 2 years of absence in live tournaments ad i've shipped it
In january i'm tried to playing another tournament in a big circle in Milan, it was a 1 Day Non Stop tournament. Despite i'm busted 79/780 OTM after 14 hours of play, i'm satisfied because i've maintained a good focus and calm expecially during a long 2 hours total card dead phase!

Below i post my 2023 recap where there number of games played, spending, profit and abi. ( Live mtt included)

From Jan 2024 i leveled up my roll from abi 6 to 10.

I'm commited to update my blog at least monthly to track my progress for my sessions, studying and live tournaments updates.

Thanks for read!

Hi there!

I'll show you a January Recap:

MTT Count: 99
Total Spending: 788.3
Net Won: 741.97
ABI: 7.95
January Roi: 94.12

In general, the first mont of the year was a good month. Obviously the ROI stats are on a very small sample size (99 games). This stats are more truthful with more games.
The rooms where are play are the same: PS, Party, iPoker, 888.

The best money results of this months is a 4th place in a 100Euro 5K gtd on PartyPoker when i'm qualified by satellite.

Small number of games, obviously, focused on the week-end, but i'm very sastified becauses from October i found consistency and continuity with my studies.
In last weeks i've followed some coaching lessons focused on a PKO strategies.

Thank for reading my journey.

See u soon with further updates!

So.
In the first post of my blog i was write about discipline changing - cash game ( mainly for small amount of time available) but recently i've decide that at least this year i want dedicate as most possible in study and go deep in mtt discipline.

Yeah, mtt is a discipline that need big amount of time for see the results and i'm totally agree on this point. But I'm also acutely aware that dedicate time seriously in study will contribute importantly to impact in long term roi.

Cash game there are ever one of the my long term object, but for the moment we are total focus on MTT.

Hi Guys,

I'm here with my [End February-Start March Update]

February:

General thoughts.

February was start good about the number of tournament played but unfortunately from half of the month i've had few opportunities to make more sessions.
Despite first games was also good, the sum of the month is closed in negative. But obviously is total ok.
In February i've also continued with some review with my coach. In March we continue with more lessons for going deep with pko strategies analysis.

About March, i'm trying to increase slightly mass volume but also stay with good focused.
First March session it was good and i've make 3 FT ( 1st, 5th+Top Bounty, and runner up with good number of bounties collected)

We hope to continue with streak like these!

In February i've also make one live tournament ad the club near home but busted with no results.
Regarding live tournament, i like very much playing it but in these moment i'm aware that i've need to continue to spending time with study and trying to make more online grinding.
Through the year in Italy there are some interesting live events where i think the average field is affordable to me.

Thanks for reading my monthly update post guys, if there are more interesting new through the month i'm come back to update.

Have a nice Sunday!

Do you play on weekends or workdays? Id rather play mtts but having a regular 9-5 job makes things almost impossible to handle, if you start the session say at 6-7pm you are likely going to be at it until midnight most days

Usually i play 1 Day on workdays and 2 days in Weekend ( Friday + Sunday often)
During Workday, i prefer start low-field mtt that endend often within 01:00 am

So, in this way the most trouble morning, if in sunday session running good, is monday ( i'm wake up around 07:00 am) but in these case i get coffee to support me

I'm totally aware that running mtt with full time job + more other projects are not bet solution in according to time available, but in this period of my life i'm feel good to concern al my engagements. Sure, it is necessary planning good ever week

Hi there.

In these days i'm totally focus only on studying.
Especially i'm immerse on GTO Wizard after followed some lessons and adjustments about it functions.
I'ts a powerful tool for studying pure theory and trying infinte scenarios vs trainer but especially in low stake levels it's very important adjust our analysis to exploitative concepts.

Usually i'm not stream but in next dayis i want share some my studying session online, i think it can be a good idea.

Hi Players and have a good April.

My last March sessions ( 30 and 31th) it was good:
-5th place for 670Euros in a 15 Mystery Bounty on PS.it
-1st place in a 5.5 Normal torunament on 888.1 for 215 Euros.

In particular in a 15 Mistery Bounty i've marked many spot in a late stage where i'm not sure that i've made best decision.

Below there are my monthly MTT Recap:

In according to the profit this is the best month of the year.

I've started to add some 15 and 20 buy-in games.

I've also intensified my hour spent in studying weekly schedule. ( I currently have a lot of backlog to catch up on ), Especially i introduce early morning study session before going work ( 5-7 am), at the moment i'm feeld good with this time range.
It's not alway easy waking up early in the morning but in this period i want to study as many possible for correct much possible my major game leaks.

On 7th April on PS.it there are a 250 Sunday Million Mistery Bounty edion - At the moment this is completely out of my buy-in range buy every session i'm trying to qualifty trough 10E Sat.

I hope u find interesting this blog of my poker journey.

Good evening Players!

Here for our monthly update.

My April Poker:

This month i close in loss: on PS.it there were SCOOP events and i played much more big field events and buy in between 5-20.
I've also played more satellites ( i think that this month a good part of my loss was due to satellites games) in particular i played many satellites for big events like Sunday Million e Main Scoop with buy-in between 10 and 20 and in a total of 170 games in month, 28 there are satellities. I'm aware that are not a good choice in mtt schedule playing too many sat.

About mindset:

I'm feel good. I'm aware that i'm at the beginning phase of my journey and at the moment i'm investng a good part of profit in coaching, course and tools.
I think that one of tha main challenges is playing often without money conditioning.

I'm on the track and my main target is improve my game session after session.

Good luck at the tables!
