The disadvantages include:
1) Far less enjoyable.
2) Feelings of failure, since I'll be working a job that requires no skills and doesn't use my brain at all.
3) Capped income. I'll never get more than $20/hr and there's no potential to go on a heater.
4) Growth seems almost impossible. I spent 4.5 years at my last pizza job and never got promoted.
5) I could potentially earn more at 60nl if I can win at 10bb/100 and play 250 hands per hour, since that will be $15/hr USD which is $22.50/hr AUD.
6) Cost of living will go up. I'll have to pay for transport to and from work and I'll be eating out more. I also have to get my phone fixed since the microphone is broken, so that's another cost.
It seems to me that you're an action junkie. From random river bluffs and 3 bet QJs at mouthbreather levels to "but work is boring" comments...but to be fair, you're 24/25, so can't blame you for acting 24/25ish.
1)Yes, low level work sucks. What sucks more though is being broke. Unless you're independently wealthy or you find a sucker to just float you at 20K, you have to get through hell to get to heaven. Something I've used for dating is appropriate here - those who want something find a way, those who don't find an excuse. And you are throwing out a lot of excuses.
2)Obviously don't do it forever. After I lost all of my money BF, I worked at a call center - you want to talk about mindlessness, do that ****. And it wasn't the Australian payday gold mine y'all seem to have, it was $9-12/hr, less than what I was doing online. It sucked, but poverty is WAY worse. And you're kinda in poverty - it's good that you have a massive support system enabling you.
3)Not with that attitude.
4)It's...a pizza job. If you approached that like you approached poker, it's not surprising. You should have been at least Assistant Manager of Specialty Pizza or something.
5)I could get down to 10% body fat, but eating healthy is boring, so I'm going to eat this bag of chocolate covered butter patties. At some point you have to make a plan. You do a lot of impulsive hoping.
6) lolololololololololololololol @if I work, cost of living will go up. Guess what it'll do if you don't have an income? C'mon, guess.
