edit: this is the actual quote but the above is good enough for me

If I binked a $50k tourney this week and moved out, suddenly I wouldn't be a loser anymore.

It's like he wanted the thrill of being a cool hotshot pro traveling the tourney circuit grinding the dream and that dream evaporating via MTT variance was too crushing for the guy

He did everything he could to increase his risk of ruin while also insisting he was a professional poker player.

Before you can become a professional poker player, you have to understand every layer and dimension of what this means. (Discipline being the most important element)
The username 6betme implies celebrity status. All he ever wanted was to be a (poker) celebrity; everyone gazing upon him in awe and wonder. Getting too close to thirty now; unless he faces up to reality and gets serious about a career (he has the ability) - no employer would even consider him for an interview at a professional level. His LinkedIn profile isn't exactly flattering for a person his age. Gaps count.

Quitting/flunking out of uni twice is the big red flag.

I guess he really has reached celebrity status if people are looking up his LinkedIn. He's young enough to turn things around career wise, the blocker is the requirement to actually do the work and stick with it.

This is in fact exactly something he would say. XD Result oriented thinking at it's finest.

Edit: oh, it is actually close to a direct quote of him, didn't realize that.

Lol, so if I'm interpreting this correctly you basically got his sour ass banned for being the usual **** he is in your PGC thread?

Others recommended I request a mod to have him banned from my thread, which I did.

Banned from the forum works too though.

It’s in the last forty posts or so if you want to see the exchange. I don’t care to say anything negative about him nor did I initially.

Anyways, he posted in here for a surprisingly long time and I was thinking some unsolicited assistance could help streamline the process moving forward. I don’t benefit in any way, just happy to help.

I hope we all learned a lesson on how we can't let one guy (maybe a couple others too) aids up a great thread to the point of no return. He definitely sped up the end of this season.

Everyone shoots their shot at some stage trying to give 6bet advice, but 40 posts a day of pure vitriol was way over the line.

I really don't think that's the case. The lack of money and poker activity is the reason the thread came to a conclusion.

He had government assistance and a 'uni career' last time though. They're both gone now, so I reckon he would have gotten a high interest loan, or a job + grinding on the side if he wasn't chased off. He's done that before when it was the only option on the table.

What is he supposed to do though? He's 28 (he was 24 at the beginning of the first season which was a bit more than 4 years ago), he's failed college twice. The last time, he didn't even get beyond the first semester before failing.

So what's left for him if he can't complete a college degree? Learn a trade? Learn programming? Or go back to delivering pizzas for the rest of his life?

LOL you haven’t been here long enough.

ZERO chance that kid goes out and gets a job. ZERO.

He’s a professional poker player and that’s it. Full stop.

Having to be a “normie” for any period of time is him admitting that most of us were right and that he’s wrong and there’s exactly zero chance of that.

i wouldn't put it past him that his plan may be to bum around in his mom's house until she passes away so he can live off the inheritance.

now that he is gone (and theoretically can't respond to this post) i'll share with you all a PM i got from Jimmy B on the 13th of january:

Spoiler:

you can't say i didn't try... you guys just refused to listen and gave him all the attention he craved. lessoned learned i hope! i of course followed my own advice and didn't respond to the PM; i simply ignored it.

He wasn't wrong with the first sentence.

There's no lesson to learn. I know its hard to see from your highly perched soapbox but some people enjoy drama and attention and Jimmy gave them both.
