We have basically all of the most venomous snakes. Also the funnelweb spider which is nastier than the redblack/black widow you're familiar with. Up north we get crocs. There are a bunch of venomous jellyfish and also oddities like the blue-ring octopus.
However 6bet like most Australians lives in a suburb where you rarely see any dangerous wildlife. Pretty much if you don't go into the countryside and start sticking your bare hands into the undergrowth, nothing bad will happen.
I think American wildlife is scarier than ours. I've stamped on plenty of redbacks and the occasional scorpion. Try doing that with a large wolf or grizzly bear.
