Treating my wife today

I thought today was a good day to take my wife out somewhere special. The weather is beginning to warm up, covid restrictions are easing, and I made over $700 profit the past 7 days. So many things to celebrate!

We went to the Thai grocery store and yes, we did in fact buy another can of crab meat! This one was a different brand though and only cost $65, but hopefully it still tastes just as nice.

Then I told her I'd take her somewhere special for dinner. Neither of us had ever been to this bar/restaurant before, so I thought I'd give it a shot. They were super busy, but we managed to book the last table. They had about 20 different types of craft beer on tap and some disco clubbing type music. We got a fancy platter of cheese and other things, as well as a bunch of other bar snacks and drinks. It was nice.

I'm pretty happy we went there. It's always good to take a day off and spend time with loved ones. It also reminds you of the value of money. I can think back to this whenever I feel like spewing off hundreds of dollars at the poker table. These are the things I'll miss out on.

Tomorrow I'll be going to another 1/3 NL home game so hopefully I can book some more decent profit, just like last week. Feeling good now and ready to crush!

I didn't realize there was that much prosciutto on both sides of the platter. That platter comes with a lot of prosciutto.

Why do you have 3 drinks and 2 pounds of prosciutto for 2 people?

My only point of critique is that he didn't mention anything about a private chef preparing the food right in front of them. He won 700$, so it's not like he couldn't have afforded that. Maybe 2-3 more home games and we get there.

To be fair, I think 95% of his decisions are rational e.g.

1. Get up.
2. Use toilet.
3. Wash.
4. Get dressed.
.......

19. Eat dinner.
20. Gamble with 50% of my net worth, in a format that I'm a dog in, with people that can't be trusted to pay.

Well it's only 5% irrational choices and we're all human, so no-one can really criticise this one single error in an otherwise error-free day.

To be fair mixing red wine and Coca-Cola might seem weird but in Spain they actually drink the two in the same glas and call it a Calimocho. It's disgusting.
