only way for this thread to get to 20k poasts is for lots of sidebars and derails. besides the thread is pure nonsense and a cartoon any way

Woke up at 6am today. Today is my recovery day from the gym, which means I can focus on finally getting some poker volume in!

GL me.

Yeah still in lockdown. Australia is doing fairly well overall, but my state sucks and has the worst restrictions, such as:
- All casinos and nightclubs are closed
- Restaurants and gyms can have max 20 people at a time (you usually need to book in advance)
- All uni campuses are closed, but courses run online
- Certain suburbs are "no go zones". You can't leave your house without a valid reason. Thankfully, I live just outside the no go zone, so I'm allowed to gym.

I agree. I don't see what all the hate is about. RTP seems like a good guy imo. Just very young and optimistic.

Yeah she's in her 50s.

But my younger brother (the one who lives here) is a full-time uni student, studying a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He's far more of a normie than I am.

You don't need to spend more time with your wife. If your objective is keeping her around in your life then you should be working harder to improve your current position and building a life for you both instead of sponging off your mum.
Yeah had that day when I didn't feel like getting out of bed and my eyes wouldn't open properly. But that's a pretty uncommon occurrence.

Hmm this is probably true actually. If I spend a bit less time with her now, so that I can focus on improving myself and my finances, that's probably +EV for our both of us long-term.

"For our honeymoon I reserved the basement in my mom's tiny house. After I lost all our money, you can rediscover your alcohol problems there and start fighting with my whole family in the middle of a lockdown"

Pretty sure he can come up with a pile of creative-romantic explanations why the marriage is an undisputed Success

For a long time I was 100% sure "trust fund kid without the trust fund" should be OP's undertitle, but now I think I like "skinniest and weakest guy at the gym" even better.

Spoiler:
LOL this made me laugh. Thank you.

Well my wife comes from a different culture to me... She says it's normal for her to be close to family and live with them as adults.

I was kind of the opposite: I moved out of home when I was 19, being in a rush to feel some "independence", and never thought I'd see myself going back. But it's not so bad.

I'll move back out eventually. I'm just trying not to be too impatient about it.

Really?! I never knew about this. An extra $2k would come in handy ngl.

Does Uber count? Technically I was classified as a sole-trader (like my own small business owner), not an employee. But I did that for the last 6 months of 2019 and made far less than the $18k personal income tax threshold. You reckon I'd be eligible?

Work out how much you paid in tax, if you earned less than 18k through the year you’ll get all of it back

Unless you were working on ABN like your post suggests, then you won’t have paid any tax anyway

I paid no tax except GST.

I thought he meant I was going to get an extra $2k from the government. Like some covid19 supplement or something.

Nah he just meant if you had paid any income tax then you’d have got it all refunded if you earned less than the 18k threshold

Oh... That false hope

Nah I paid no income tax along the way. So I'll be getting nothing back.

I think the real crime is that OP thinks that's a fancy restaurant. I've seen food trucks with better seating

Nothing better going out to eat in a fancy resturant where you have to cook the meals yourself and get to relax in a cafetiere type setting.. Top Class Australian dining..

Just whipped thru the last 100 pages of this thread to get caught up.
Alot of trolling seems to be the new foundation of this thread lol

@6bet me
What is your current bankroll at?

Life as a pokerpro can be hard. To speed up your progress and not get burnt out and Bankrupt, I would suggest get a side hustle. When you lose $ from playing in the week, it doesnt matter as your side hustle will make you breakeven/or keep you in profit.

This is a secret for any aspiring poker pro.

Dont work for the Grind> Let the Grind work for YOU
