You’re acting like 3.5bb/100 over 240k hands at micros is some accomplishment. For reference my student who plays a very simple strategy and is def no poker prodigy beat 25-100nl for 6+bb/100 and was never a winning player before that.

The whole idea behind exploitation is that you are positive your opponent has an imbalance, so you are sure your exploits capture ev it wouldn’t otherwise. You just say “these guys are doing x” and then are all over the map with what seem like random exploits, in an anonymous pool, where you can’t even be sure that the “guys” you are talking about have the leaks you think they have.

You have no clue if these deviations make more money than a solid strategy based on gto, they just work sometimes. You should join a cfp. You sound just like poker n00b. Look at the facts man - at the end of the day EVERY SINGLE WINNING PLAYER who has been playing poker for the same amount of time you have would be absolutely crushing your games. On top of it you have a weak mental game and no work ethic. You have to either change your ways (unlike Martim, I believe anyone can change, and succeed in poker, given the right motivation) or quit wasting your time half-assing a poker career.

Great news! I've joined a poker stable, metagame, from saulocosta10!

Going to start from the bottom on nl25 and they will move me up, I have a lot to learn in there and MDA will be insanely good to learn, also I feel like I play more (and better) when I play for a boss, so it will be very good for me. Tbh I think learning and improving is king at this time in my career, if I want to get to HS I have to get better. I believe metagame is probably the best team out there, saulocosta10 is very good, his videos on youtube are A+, when I was studying on RIO after sauce123, thejericho2 and clanty he was the next that I was going to study.

NL25 reg tables so far after I started bluffing more:

H1: weak bluff OTT, but fine, outrageous OTR, but I like it haha vamoooooooo

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

CO: 199.36 BB
BTN: 105 BB
Hero (SB): 100 BB
BB: 100 BB
UTG: 105.32 BB
MP: 107 BB

Hero posts SB 0.4 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.4 BB) Hero has 7 9

fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, BB calls 2 BB

Flop: (6 BB, 2 players) T 2 Q
Hero bets 2 BB, BB calls 2 BB

Turn: (10 BB, 2 players) 5
Hero bets 7.16 BB, BB calls 7.16 BB

River: (24.32 BB, 2 players) Q
Hero checks, BB bets 17.36 BB, Hero raises to 87.84 BB and is all-in, fold

Spoiler:
Hero shows 7 9 (One Pair, Queens)

BB shows J Q (Three of a Kind, Queens)

Hero wins 56.12 BB

Awful against whom? If we're talking about a good reg who will float more hearts otf, call a lot OTT with A highs and we will end up overbluffing with bad blockers vs someone like that who will likely punish us? Sure

Now vs a random nl25 reg, who has no clue on blockers and continuing ranges, who is very likely overfolding turn, then it's fine.

continuing range on this turn is super intuitive, it’s just a punt that turned out well

It’s good that you joined a stable as you are clearly so open minded and take in reasonable feedback from better players like a dry sponge.

You're right, I was wrong in this one, thought IP should call a lot of Ax ott, ran a sim on this one, really bad to overbluff this spot, people defend well ott, even at nl25

Happy for you Rapi, GL on the CFP grind

Quick question, just out of curiosity: did you ever have a real job, outside of poker? I mean, formal job, not counting internships during school etc.

Hey, thank you!

I've had only an internship at a clothes factory for 3 months during uni, it was good, cured my depression. Other than that I've never worked at a formal job, so I take for granted poker as a job, it's definitely a mental leak of mine, most jobs out there are garbage/uninteresting/not rewarding, poker is exactly the opposite, I'm lucky to grind for living.

It's insane to call Qx in there OTR in these games. Obv on higher games people probably call enough vs that, so we need to be careful with our bluffs vs strong opponents.

September results

Month was decent, made around $800, volume was low because I've studied a lot this month and couldn't play some days when I was joining the cfp. Played around 23k hands 4-tabling at bodog nl25. So far I'm destroying the nl25 pool like nothing I've seen before lol, the strats I'm learning in the cfp are insane, very good vaaaaaaamo! Since I've joined the team I've hit a sick heater, up 20 bi in the last 5k hands! Going to focus a lot on studying in the next months, but I will still play good volume, my goal is 40k hands next month!

Some hands

H1: This one looks decent, but it's a massive punt at nl25, should have folded river

Do not try to outplay your opponents like that Rapi, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth.

There are no opponents. Then you'll see it's not the opponents who are outplayed and exploited. It's only yourself.

We can't be sure if he is folding all KJ in there, because at these games people fold more blocking the flush because whales love to bluff with FDs too, some old school logic. Kh is a very good blocker indeed

But yeah, I wasn't surprised that villain folded such a strong hand in there, tbh I would be folding there very fast in his shoes. Sure that pio probably valuebets the same hand, but who is crazy enough to show with a bluff in there at nl25 lol? The only ones capable of throwing this one off are massive whales clicking pretty hard, but then they would need to find the 150% ott, which they don't do often.

But I've thrown some sick bluffs like this that got called too lol, nl25 is a jungle haha

I mean I think you kinda need to learn about how often you need to be right river to make a profitable call, this runout you just can easily call any J and move on

against regs that is, recs typically don’t 3 barrel overbet bluff much at all compared to regs
Rapidesh123, Fighting Gold!!! Quote

I don´t think most regs would ever fold anything and show the cards to give free information, it seems a very decent fish tell to me if he showed the KJ.

Don’t think turn OB is really a thing, because we’re really only loving it when we have a boat and they have Jx. When we have Jx ourselves, it’s hard to get paid by worse due to blockers and the odds we’re giving. Once he calls the turn OB, I’d probably just shutdown. We’ve strengthened his range a little too much.

I’d rather bet a 50-70p turn size and overbet river. It keeps his range a little wider and forces him to call, call, fold with pairs.

Either way, love to see the nit get punished. Vaaaaaamo!
