Was playing poker apps and,
I have just had it. There is just no fun in poker anymore for me. Whats the point, just pushing buttons, and I don't care for the people I interact with when playing. In fact I don't like myself when I play. The game seems to be to self destructive and ultimately dealing with very selfish people sucks. Am I wrong? Don't care, but may update my road to a poker free life here to motivate myself.

Making a thread about quitting is counter-productive. It makes it seem as if poker is something important to you, and serves as a constant reminder that you're "giving something up". In reality, you really aren't giving up anything by quitting. If you're serious about this, then the "road" to a poker free life is a pretty short one, and doesn't require a thread as there isn't any gradual progress to be made. Simply uninstall all poker clients, log out of 2p2, delete browser history, and you're done.

Work 60 hours a week run 5 to 6 days a week....never bored. Definitely need something else, between covid and wife being in a chair I have no time to exercise my demons so to speak I suppose. Feels like addiction too, but have quit cigarettes and alcohol pretty easily and I did those both hard. Guess just putting myself on blast. Poker really serves nothing imo.... oh well .

I'm sorry not understanding what you are saying. Are you having Covid19? Is your wife okay (what you mean by being in a chair) ? How is the poker for you, a hobby you invest time but you are losing player and it makes unhappy? An addiction that takes your money? A hobby that makes money but takes too much time and makes unhappy?

Stay home a lot because of covid and my wifes injury when I'm not working. She's is better now.
Takes up my time and of coarse I lose money. Don't have time to study and just play for fun, but it's not fun.
I convince myself it will be fun, load up play, and just feel awful after. Worse if I lose, more of a sense of relief if I win. It's suppose to be entertainment right? Well it's just not. I feel like my time could be better spent for sure. Sorry for bad writing and Grammer, very tired.

Maybe give yourself time if doesn't feel like good time to play poker just do something else.

I don't think its easy to have discipline with things and don't think it makes happy to have it either at times but just sometimes have to have it. Good luck , hope things feel better in your life soon.

So had to play a little. Bought into a pppoker club and was 3 tabling. All of sudden I had verification test on two. Then one right after! Was in the middle of 2 big hands and lost. Went to my agent and cashed out and closed the clubs. The agent said hes never heard of such a thing. Guess I'm just lucky!

Bro u got like 30 second to fill in verify test. Just play ur hand and ignore it then fill the verify once the hand is over. Or u can just ignore it and a new one appears. Kicks u off if u fail 3.

Yeah, they where in the way. Can't 3 table with 2 captchas in the way. Really stupid, just won't play there anymore. Got rid of those two and another popped up.
If there time wasn't so short on each hand and I wasn't playing 5 card, 2 just went short, might be doable. But why should I have to put up with that? So I don't play. Simple.

Poker just sicks the life right out of me, win or lose. Just unhealthy. Really is in line with drugs/alcohol.

Play 4 or 5 card poker (plo/BigO). It will satisfy your addiction beyond your wildest dreams while losing significantly more $ faster. Quiting for good
