Alright, PGC attempt #2, if anyone wants a proper background to me look up my previous thread. But basically where I am at now is - I have worked the last few years as a laboratory tech since finishing university in Western Australia and am now planning to return this year to complete an honours. I have a decent amount of savings for the coming year - some of this will be portioned to playing poker both online and live. I will likely get some form of part time job and already have ideas in motion for this however for the next month or so I have nothing planned except a cruise next week to the great barrier reef.

Live I play 1/3 (300 cap) at the Crown Perth Casino, and the play is somewhat comparable to Melbourne albeit the player pool much much smaller, which is great exploitatively because both the recs and regs are very basic in thinking. The room has almost no pros and I intend to put some decent hours in on peak times. Since this game has ran with the 300 cap (increased from 200 cap) I have put in 250hrs at a rate of $36/hr. obviously lol sample size but maybe somewhat indicative (and maybe not).

Online I have been playing 25Nlz on ignition however my last laptop all but died about 3 months ago and I have been unable to play due to random disconnects and restarts and have thus been instead focusing on live, which is obviously the much better game. I had about 25k hands at approx 4bb/100 but of course this graph is gone, I am overall an online winner over 3 years for somewhere around $2000USD. I hope to AT LEAST double that this year. I plan to focus on NORMAL 6max tables instead of zone as I am much better in exploiting opponents than versing a population.

My main goals of this thread are to keep myself motivated as well as improve and looks on spots to focus on. I also have some fitness/weightlifting goals for the year which I may touch on later.

So I knew it was coming but was meant to update, have played very little poker so far this year due to being on holidays for the last 10 days, been in Brisbane and got on a 8 day cruise which I just got off. The ship had 3 scheduled 10 man sit and gos which were $60 buy ins paying top 2. (350 + 150). These were on the digital machines which I had never used but was pretty cool. Placed 3rd then 1st then 6th in those which was ok but fefinitely should have won the first tourney as well. Play ay the Treasury casino tonight which ive never been to and expect to be 2/5 so pumped for that. Prior to my holiday i played one short session and won $346. Failed a goal of writing up hands this session but really nothing occured at all and my one big hand was 4bet pre with KK and then get it all in on a low flop vs JJ and KJ and hold.

Well well, not even sure where to begin or what to includw. The last few weeks have been weird, boring, and blissful. Not having to work and have a schedule has been amazing and have definitely been having a break. Although Ive started to buckle down and plan my year out a bit so thats good. And as of now I have chosen the path of continuing laboratory work in a medical setting and play poker on the side - this route probably includes more poker than returning to university would have although poker really not being a factor in that decision.

Anyway, Poker. Poker is a main focus of mine at the moment and I have since my last update put in 78hrs of live volume and 17000 hands online. While these are not amazing hours but its been serving its purpose. I have been playing pretty well live and running pretty poorly and playing pretty poorly online and running alright.

So people love results as always and I sort of am writing this up as a spur of the moment cause I keep never doing it during the day - this will hopefully change. But..
Live i am up $2040 since last update.
Online I am actually almost exactly breakeven and running a bit above EV although. I will post some graphs etc soon...

Leads me to current goals -

Life - All I need to do currently lifewise is - apply for jobs I WANT to move into and gym 4x a week. So pretty chilled.

Poker goals are;
Live 20 hours minimum a week. Probably closer to 30 but again I have been purposefully going easy to have a break at the moment so I will suss a schedule. Aims are play Thurs/Fri/Sat/Mon at the casino as these are the best days.
Online goals, pretty simple 10k hands a week of CASH. I am playing $11 and under mtts alongside 25NLz and 25NL until I reach a $1k USD bankroll to move up to 50NL again.

Study - review previous session 10 biggest NET change of $ hands. As I am feeling pretty bad online again after a bit of a break I think any spots in big pots is both the easiest and best way to improve WR. Have actually never posted any online hands and may try. Using HM2 and a handcoverter on ignition so will be pretty easy to export.

Hope that keeps everyone up to date a bit and promise I will try be more frequent again- as now after a bit of a break I need something to aim towards.

Just played this hand at 1/3: we are 5 handed and btn(250eff) limps sb(500eff) limps. Both players are very fishy with btn being very loose stationy and sb being quite random and aggressive i check bb with 79o
flop comes 247dd sb leads 5 c c
Turn comes 6o sb leads 20 c c
River comes Ao sb leads 100

I call and btn folds. Anyone who read everything have any opinions?

Spoiler:
sb shows 68 and we are good. Really dont know what the best line is here, probably just a lay down but I think btn is folding a LARGE amount of the time here and top pair on the flop vs this villain, especially when his line makes no sense.
