Thanks. I have a problem with almost no aggression and stuff, so will try a bit lighter ones for value Good luck.
Well if you have almost no aggression, then it is probably not a good idea to go razor thin for value with your c/r. Best to first add some (semi) bluff c/r first, otherwise you will just vtown yourself.

Not quite a set routine, but start a session ~1 hour after waking up, never play more than 2h15 in a session, have a minimum of 30min break between sessions and a maximum of 7h30 of play in the day.
Hi xela, what did you do in the IB and what made you not find something else within banking when your job finished? A bit off topic I know, hope you don't mind me asking...just curious because with a math PhD I would assume you doing quant work or something as opposed to back office which I would have thought would have been harder to walk away from.
Derivatives Trading would have been best for me I guess but I ended up in Derivatives Sales by some coincidence and was so happy to get anywhere into banking that I was not so picky. I guess I could have changed later on, but then sales has some advantages too.
As to not looking for something else, there are a few reasons for that. Firstly banking is not what it used to be, salaries are way down and jobs matching my seniority are far and few between (even going down in the salary). Secondly I was a bit bored with it and I never actually enjoyed doing it (I would even go as far to say that 99% of people in investment banking don't enjoy what they are doing but only do it for the money or for knowing any better). Thirdly I made enough money in my career to live for the rest of my life from my saving. Well not live a millionaire's lifestyle but a modest life without a family to support. This financial security gave me courage to try something new that I might enjoy. So this is what I have done and have not regretted it even for one day so far.
Since the last update I had a couple of really good days and reached 50k at some point.
Then on Monday I started really running like aids. Not really complaining as I have been running really well this month for the most part. What was really disappointing though was the way I reacted to it, which was by playing really poorly, ie. stationy and way to aggressive in some spots with medium strength hands. I just still find it super hard to stay focus and make tough folds in those sessions where people 3b me to death, raise every second cbet or shove over my triple barrel.
Yesterday I only played half day, still ran pretty bad but managed to play A-/B+ game which resulted in a b/e day (but $1.5k under EV). Took today off to get my focus back. Still very good month obviously:
Also I think that the villain's (a reg believe it or not) play was pretty horrible but maybe he is just on a different level
However, this was at the start of the day and after I went on some incredible heater and ended up having the best day ever at $9.8 and $11.7 in EV. Had to stop then actuallly as was getting winner's tilt.
This is a kind of interesting hand vs reg. Thought it is a pretty cool line to take OTT because I was repping so thin (have very few 5x in my range) so was hoping to level him into a call. Luckily for me it work and I cannot blame him for calling:
In the next hand BTN is quite a nitty 3b reg and MP3 was a 60% vpip whale. This is super interesting hand as I was completely lost OTT. Once reg called flop I felt he has AK/AA a lot and given he does not 3b much not so many draws. I was actually planning to c/f if he jammed turn (though not sure if good) but when he called the tiny bet I obviously called too. When he folded river I felt confident to c/r vs whale for value. Not sure if my analysis of his range was any good but in any case think he most likely had a FD here, maybe JJ-QQ.
River: ($522) 5 (3 players)
Hero checks, MP3 bets $44, BTN folds, Hero raises to $438 and is all-in, MP3 calls $162.50 and is all-in
Spoiler:
Results: $935 pot ($2.80 rake)
Final Board: 4 3 K 3 5
BTN mucked and lost (-$171 net)
Hero showed K Q and won $932.20 ($554.70 net)
MP3 showed A 4 and lost (-$377.50 net)
Actually forgot to take myself off a waitlist and when I landed on the table straight in the big blind I decided to play one more orbit for the day and managed to lose a stack at 1knl with AQo vs AKo in Bu vs CO. Good bye $9.8k day
