The Golden SH 1T

The following took place in Dublin Ireland. The Norwegian Poker Championships take place there every year as live poker is illegal in their home country(I think). Scandi's flocked to the emerald isle to degen it up and drink like fish. My buddy and I had been in a bar in the city all day drinking Guinness and punting on horse racing. I lost like 2k and had 600 euros left for my trip. I was pretty drunk and didn't give a ****. We decided to get an 1/8 of powder to sober us up so that we would go and crush these northern European idiots (He called me with q10 honey!). An hour later we arrived in a taxi and felt recharged and ready to play.

The poker room was full to the brim with cash tables running. The atmosphere was incredible, everyone looked to be having a great time. We sit down at the same table and I buyin with 200 as does my buddy. I start buying 2x double jameson and cokes for 20 euro a pop because that seems like a great idea... Every 20 minutes we are going outside smoking cigs and taking lines off our palms trying not to get noticed. Fast forward 3 hours. I am ****ed up at this stage and getting really loud at the table. I am down to 80 euros after having rebought and spent the rest on whiskey. Now I finally come to the realization I have no more money...my buddy is broke too but at least has a 400 euro stack to play with. Anyways I decide to start shoving blind or get outta there.....Get my 80 euro stack thru a few hands in a r ow over limps and raises and start celebrating like I won a huge pot. What a clown. Anyways I get in like 150 euro all in pre with q7hh vs jacks and turn a queen. Great. Time to spin it up.

At 5am I m sitting with over 1k and am feeling great. I'm splashing chips around and am hitting hands and getting payed everytime. These guys are always gonna pay me off i'm so ****ed up. My friend leaves saying hes going back to bed. Whatever. I keep playing and keep hitting. At midday the following day I have gone thru all the coke and am starting to feel the effects. I keep nodding off at the table and eventually security comes and tells me to rack up and go to bed. I cash out and realize I have 7.5k euros in front of me. I went and played 5/10 at some stage and obviously ran like god. TBh I cannot remember any hands it's mostly a blackout after 8am. I call a taxi and ask him to take me to get fish and chips.

I arrived at some bar/restaurant in some part of the city I didn't know. Ate my fish and chips and ordered a pint of beer. Fell asleep at the bar and woke up 2 hours later. Asked the barman for another pint and hes piss ed at me saying what the hell was I doing sleeping. I said I had a long night and plan to tip him well for the drink. It's as this point that I look into my wallet. NOTHING. WTF! Where the **** is my money???Call my buddy and explain and tell him to come collect me in a taxi. He thinks i'm lying and just went bust. Anyways he arrives and i'm feeling really depressed. Someone ****ing managed to rob me while I was passed out at the bar. Clever ****. Anyways my buddy arrives and I tell him i'm feeling sick i'll be right back. I head to the bathroom and puke. Flush the toilet and now I need to ****. So I sit down and get ready to push out the brown baby. I hear a clunk on the toilet water but I know it wasn't me. WTF? I look in and see the most beautiful sight I have ever seen. Rolls of 100's and 50's staring up at me . I must have put it in my jocks before I fell asleep and had stuck to my thigh. Needless to say I went out to my buddy, ordered 2 drinks and told him to order an ounce that we were going to party. What a trip that was!

Great story I know it felt good to find that flow, what’s on the menu for today as far as tournies?

Not planning on a big grind today at all. I know it's sunday and all but I just don't have it in me today. Big field mtt's with loads of variance doesn't sound appealing today. Will get back at it tomorrow and grind a 100-200 average field size. I prefer it that way. More consistent and more fun, for me at least.I'm not looking for big swings just some variance free dollars for when the dust settles with this virus. Good luck at the tables realtalk203

Forgot to mention I pretty much took off yesterday too besides a late evening turbo grind where I lost some. Finished 7th in a $16.50 on ACR with over 500 up top which would have been nice but oh well.

So played another late evening turbo session yesterday and won a few dollars. Got up 6:15a.m. this morning to get into a better routine. It's what i'm used to with my 9-5.(For me it's more like 7-3pm so I wake up at 5am most mornings!) This is where i'm gonna play my best game I feel. So anyways gonna start grinding in 30 mins after breakfast.

Just bought some United States Oil Fund(USO) stock. Short term who knows but I can't see a barrel of oil going much lower than $22 long term. It's bound to rebound to at least $50 in the future so I think it's a hugely plus EV play.

Out in 5th for $250. Get it in for heaps with KK87 on 10 9 6 rainbow vs AQJ3 against some braindead whale. K on turn . Flip flops our equity in the hand. I go from 75% to 25% and don't boat up on the river.GG

Anyone think this is mega spew or it's an ok line? I didn't want to just call the flop c-bet and play oop rest of the hand. This board favors the bb and I can barrel all clubs and have all the 57 and 78 for straights on the river. I have most 2 pairs in my range and think btn will have a tough time calling with an overpair.
