ALright, so today is a new day and boy am I glad that is the case. Yesterday sucked...alot ran awful and played halfway decent, but the only thing I can do is learn from it.

I didnt like the way that I came off in my last couple of posts, a little whiny about bad beats and run bads. I am like everyone else and if there is an ear to listen then I am going to tell of my bad fortune for the sake of sympathy, knowing that someone else can feel the pain that I felt.

I am not saying that I will never post a bad beat or a massive pot that I lost bc of the flick of a card, but I am going to keep it to a minimum.

My dads wedding reception was last night, it was a pretty good time, I def enjoyed myself. But I will tell you something, boy was it awkward there lol. The room was literally divided in half, one side my dads friends and family and the other his wifes friends and family. My grandpa stole the show tho, he got the microphone told a few hilarious stories called one of my dads friends the "horniest bastard" he'd ever known.

I am getting ready to head up there...will keep yall updated!!

Alright so here is what happened to produce that huge chip stack. I got stuck playing 1/2 for 600 running like balls. Had one of my buddies sweat me and he saw me get set over set and then get broadway in vs TT gg 2.5 buy ins. So he said that I need to do one of two things, head south take the rest of the day off and relax with a few drinks or go play 2/5 bc I am playing very well just running like garbage.

So like the true degenerate I am...I took a shot. I thought for a couple minutes and realized that I can have an aggressive brm system bc if I dont hit what I need to by month end then I have a job all lined up and I am set. But for me to really have a good shot and continuing to play for a living I was going to have to get a little aggressive.

So my 3rd hand I have QQ board runs out QdJd9cQsKd and I get a shorties stack ($300ish). About an hour later I pull a terribad bluff, my sizing was pretty bad and a guy hero called with QQ. I get down to 300 ish and pick up 86dd in the bb guy raises to 20 4 other callers, I call flop is 7xTdKd, I check raiser bets 35, QQ guy min raises to 70 and I jam. First guy folds second guy tanks for about 30 seconds and calls with AK, there very much needed 9d was on the river for my double up.

My buddy comes over and checks on the table and says that I am at the worst 2/5 table in the room and encourages me to look for another table. So I put my name on the list for the next open seat and go back to playing. Nothing really exciting happens until I get KQo utg (6 handed at the time) I raise to 20 btn and both blinds call. Flop is AdJdTc, I lead for 60, btn (QQ guy...we tangled a lot lol) shoves for 340 obv I call...I was pretty sure that we were chopping but to my surprise he rolls over TT (and yes I have that deja vu feeling) unfortunately flopping broadway is always overrated bc the board always pairs. Yes same as what happened at the 1/2 table lol

As I watch the J roll off the deck and puke I hear my name for table 23, so I take my 315 and move, I go to the ATM and throw another 200 on to fill back up to a full rack. About an hour goes by and I have just been treading water, then I get 22 in MP, its limped around 7 ways I'm pretty sure, flop comes 8c6d2c. SB leads for 15, BB calls, it folds to me, with a pretty wet board for a limped pot I wanted to jack the price up to I raise to 65. To my surprise I get a caller on the button who was pretty fishy, sb thinks for a bit and ends up folding and bb calls, Kh turn, it checks to me and I really do not mind taking down the pot here so I just bomb it for 175. Btn looks in disgust and ends up folding but BB just cant find the fold button. River is 8h, I could finally breathe, BB checks I ship for his last 210 he calls with KcXc.

About an hour later a really loose guy comes to our table, he was actually a pretty cool dude. He was dating one of my best friends from high schools younger sister, who came to sweat him. I didnt recognize her cause she was like 12 or 13 when I had last saw her, but good God she is hot. Anyway, this guy is calling a lot of raises just period, says that he loves playing post flop poker and will do it with any two cards. 5 or 6 hands after this statement he stacks a guy who had AA with 74 lol, pretty well played by him to be honest.

So I take the AA seat so that I could have position on him (he was 2 to my left) since I am going to be raising a lot of pots in position, I decided to change it up a little bit and come in with more of an equity than usual since he was going to be playing such crappy cards I could get a lot of value isoing him with a slightly tighter range.

I move to utg and look at rags and fold, a guy with a 1700 stack bumps it to 25 loos guy calls on the btn, really tight older guy raises to 140, both call, flop is Q83r, BB snap ships for $550 and guy snap calls with KK but BB has AA and doubles up. Everyone kept talking about how thats just a cold deck and theres nothing you can do about it on the flop. But I was thinking and I really dont think I would have to tough of a time folding flop there (although Im getting it in pre flop most of the time, questionable vs vill), only hands guy 3 bets and ships flop is QQ, KK, AA and you dont beat a single one 9 combos you lose to and 1 you chop with lol.

Fast forward 2 hands, same guy raises to 25 he gets 3 callers and I look at AA in the sb and make it 130 which gets 2 callers. Pretty solid flop for me J88, I lead for 175 and original raiser shoves for 700 (I cover), pretty happy that he did cause other guy calling was the loose guy who does have 8s in his range but he folded. I thought for a couple seconds said you dont have any 8s and you would just call with JJ and I called, he flips over KK and I hold...now that is a cold deck.

Fast forward 3 hours, the above guy was playing with his wife at the table both were meh players at best, he was very straightforward and she was very cally. She had just been limp raised 3 times by her husband and was getting pissed off that he kept doing that so she opens for 20 utg and he min 3 bets to 40 lol, I thought this was pretty funny and it folds to my and I look down at AA and I flat call. The main reason I did this was because it looked like she was reaching for more than 20 in chips and could feel the 4 bet coming. So sure enough she makes it 130 and he shoves for 550 and I called pretty quickly, she tanked for about 2 minutes and pushed in 75 on top which I called. He flips over KK for the 3rd time he ran that into AA.

I pre tip the dealer $5 saying dont even make it a sweat please, which he obliges as the Ac is in the window and the board runs out small and ships me a 2K+ pot!!! This was the largest cash of my life and it felt so good taking 6 racks to the cashier for a total of $3662 cashed out. (in the games total across the board for 1200)

I got 2 things from today, 2/5 plays a lot different than 1/2 and fits my style a lot better. And it feels damn good to run good in huge pots again. I talked with one of my buddies and he said that he has half my action in all the 2/5 games if I want to play them. Br basically doubles itself with me only taking half the risk (which comes out pretty close to the risk at 1/2), so I will be playing 2/5 mostly and the occasional 1/2 game if I see a good game or the 2/5 sucks.

Will be playing the Sunday Mtt for sure tomorrow with this nice br boost!!

Time for a little mtt action today...weeeeeeeeeeee

Structure is awesome for a daily mtt on Sunday, 10k starting stack, 30 minute levels and blinds increase at a good pace and don't just double all the way thru like most other dailys. Lets have a little Sunday heat!!!! Gl to everyone playing today

When I saw you playing 2/5 after losing I assumed you were just degening it up. Good work on the comeback. Hope to see you playing 10/25 within the next couple of weeks lol.

Thanks man, it was def a degen move lol chasing losses. Stephen offered taking half my action (I should have taken him up on that) but like I said above I can afford to be somewhat aggressive starting off bc of the situ I'm in but wouldn't be able to do it later on when I've been playing for a living for a while.

Taking Stephen up on his half action offer at 2/5 is prob the best move, turns my Br into 13k and have a shot at bigger cashes than at 1/2 and being able to get a little more creative than 1/2 (not to much tho, saw some lol similar play between the two levels)

You gunna be up there today???

Was able to build a stack really easily in the mtt but coolers gunna cooler. I opened ATo from high jack and got a caller on the button, flop AT4r we get it all in right there and he has TT so gg me.

Played some very solid cash afterwards tho, maybe bc I was in mtt mode or something I was pretty snug the whole except one hand I called a little to lite for $300. Other than that played my A game an cashed out a $415 winner for a total profit of 92.5 after backers half and mtt buyin weeeeeeeee.

Nice job bro... Nice heaps on 2-5 table.. Impressive. I love those spots when you build massive stacks.. That's when I stay for 20-30 hours... Great feeling..
A little confused. So you did use the backer or you didn't??
Thought br was 13k? Sorry

I didnt use a backer for that massive 2/5 session. But he is backing me now for 2/5, so my actual physical br is ~$6500...but with him taking half my action its a lot more like a $13,000 roll

If I wasn't playing for a living then yeah I wouldn't give half my action...but since I am and I have either 32 bi for 1/2 which I have come to the realization that is probably a waste of time or have 13 bi for a type of game I am better suited to play I will take my shots in a more conservative profit to help prevent going bust.
