I did do a post earlier with all the big losers from yesterday's session along with my analysis of each, but it looks like I didn't submit it
I'm not gonna write it all up again but the long and short of it is that none of them were played particularly well. In fact, most of them were played pretty terribly so it's no wonder I dropped 5 BI's so quickly. It's strange as well because until I reviewed the hands I didn't even think I played that badly. I hadn't suffered any bad beats or anything and wasn't tilting. I guess it just goes to show the importance of warming up and making sure you're focused when playing.
I did a proper review of the hands earlier with a fellow 2+2er and did some sweats which I found really helpful. It helped to highlight some of the issues with my sizings in certain spots. I tend to just use default sizing most of the time and rarely bet more than pot. Last year when I was playing last, I was mixing in overbets with some decent success, but having not been learnt to the level on unconcious competence they must've just gradually slipped from my game. I did a lot of experimenting today with smaller/larger sizings than I would normally use and was really pleased with the results for the most part. I got a few tank-folds with some overbet bluffs which leads me to think that my regular sizings might have been called. Similarly I won a few stacks by sizing really small vs aggro opponents and inducing them to put money in the pot with hands that they would have otherwise folded. All pretty basic stuff to a lot of you reading but it felt like another string was added to my bow today.
I passed the BE mark today (pre rakeback) so I'll post some graphs. It's a shame I blew up on those couple of days because they single handedly destroyed my winrate. That's the consequence of tilting though so no use whining about it.
Here's the graph since starting the thread:
And here's the graph since giving up the Mary Jane:
Volume's been **** this past week but have been studying a fair bit and just wanted to give myself an easy time whilst I get over the worst of the withdrawals. I'm still struggling to get to sleep and am waking up loads during the night but hopefully this won't last too much longer. Aside from that I'm feeling a lot better in myself and looking forward to getting back on the grind full time!
BR stands at $740 and we've got a whopping 1.2 bb/100 winrate
