It's hard to really specify what my favorite moment is while playing on Pokerstars. I've had some pretty exceptional experiences while playing on the site. Although, having to pick a moment, I'd actually have to broaden the term for me to mean the month of April 2012.

Coming into the start of the month, I knew I needed it to be one of my best months in order to end me and my boyfriend's 6 month stay in Toronto. It was our first time living out of the United States, and my first time really supporting both of us while playing poker professionally. Also, my backer at the time had gone out on a limb, helping us move and get set-up online again so I could play for him on Pokerstars.

Due to some run-bad, and being in a fairly poor mindset I had managed to get myself fairly deep in make-up. I had gotten so frustrated actually, that in mid February I completely changed my table set-up and my game selection. With doing so, I went from consistently losing to consistently winning again, and even with making over 22k at the tables between live and online from February to April of that year I still needed to have a 60k+ month in April to clear my make up and end Toronto well.

The only way I was going to clear was by having the best month of my life. Luckily for me, the month started off with a bang!

On April 2nd I had the largest online score of my life, and a first kind of victory for myself. With my first “Big” win ever, I won the big 162 for over 20k! The very next day I won the Hot 55 for 11k! Around a week later I managed to chop the big 109 for 16k and my 2nd largest score ever, and near the end of the month I did the un-thinkable for me, I won the hot 55 for the 2nd time that month.

After such an amazing run of cards, and it being late April already, I really didn't think the month could improve for me, however, I was wrong. On my last day of play, I finally did something I had desired to do for a very long time on stars, I final tabled a “Sunday Major” by finishing 7th in the Sunday kickoff.

What an incredible month!

Over that month I had a lot of firsts for myself. Had my first month of 50k+ in profits (70k), my first "Sunday Major" final table (kickoff), my first "hot" wins (hot 55 twice), my first “Big” wins (big 162 and big 8), my largest online score, my first time finishing top 2 in both weekly and monthly TLB's on Pokerstars and my first time making my way into the top 10 on yearly TLB.

I realize that this doesn't necessarily count as my favorite “moment” on Pokerstars, however, when I finished my last game of the month I knew that something incredible had happened to me that month and couldn't have been any happier.

Didn't receive much interest in prop bets vs me for how i finish on WBCOOP TLB sadly enough, however I do have 1 last longer (20$) So at least that is some motivation.

Although I have decided that If I win either the leader board for the series, or best blogger that I will be donating 1k to "The Trevor Project" (more if i somehow win both). This should give me some nice motivation for keeping up on blogging and staying focused through the tourneys.

I was going to do a major blog update yesterday, but due to running deep in the big 55 (22nd) and running deep in the hot 44 (7th) I was fairly busy and didn't get around to it. So instead I'm going to do just a smaller update for how my results and stuff have been over the last month.

Since my last major update I haven't really had any major score to speak of, mostly just been a long grind where I've made 4-5k or so.

I did however get to experience my first "Real" vacation with my boyfriend. We spent a week in Jamaica with my parents in Negril. Stayed right on the 7mile beach, the door to our room essentially opened out onto sand. The trip it-self was your typical tropical vacation, lots of lying around and relaxing with some minor touristy things.



We did have the opportunity to go scuba diving though, it was an awesome experience that neither of us will ever forget. If you get the chance to do so, you should certainly give it a try!



Overall it was a great trip and we had a wonderful time.

My first 2 sessions back since my trip have both gone fairly well, My first session back I ft'd the 265ko and the 3r 2x, poor endings in both but ended up on the day a bit.

Yesterday I made 5 final tables! 22 6k on party (won), 11r 5k on party (10th), 44$ 15k turbo on ps (7th or so), 75$ 5k on ps (8th or so) and the hot 44 (7th). Even though it was a ++ day it was a bit disappointing to end up only 2-3k. Pretty happy overall about it though.

Other good poker news though. My best student had a +15k February, and he has also made 7 ft's over his last 2 sessions! :O

Watching him go from bad 180 reg to a crushing mids-stakes+ mtt'er over the last 4 months has been awesome to be a part of (he's up around 50k over the 4 months). I expect him to have a huge 2013, and wouldn't be surprized if he had a 100k+ year.

With WBCOOP going on I'm going to be blogging daily and tweeting often. I was thinking about possibly doing some video-blogs with HH's for the length of the series. If you'd be interested in seeing those, just let me know. Otherwise i'll just keep it text based and discuss interesting hands that occur.

WBCOOP Blog Entry 2

While my WBCOOP event did not go well for me today, I did manage to have a wonderful day over-all at the tables. I ended up making 4 FT's, including at one point being on 3 final tables AT THE SAME TIME (ps 75$, ps 265Ko, and party 30r)! While I only won 1 of the games, I still managed to have a +5k or so day.

I've decided that through-out WBCOOP I'll post daily my stats up to this point in the series (from everything I'm playing), including info like avg field size, number of cashes, number of FT's and other info. I'll also post part of an HH from either a FT I made or a deep run I had. The HH will just include hands I played, and I'll add some small commentary as well.

Thoughts:
Hand 4: Pretty standard iso, bottom of my range though.

Hand 7: I was very happily calling a jam from BB. Gingdog was a very inexperienced player, so if the BB had jammed, I would have iso-shoved due to the dead money in the pot. I checked back flop to represent showdown equity, however vs an inexperienced player I should have just cbet around 35% of pot.

Hand 9: I should have c-bet flop, or just bet turn. Dont have enough equity to get to showdown reliably or to bluff catch well.

Hand 12: I could have also 3b/c pre vs mack, but instead flat as I was hoping either the sb or bb would squeeze wide.

WBCOOP Blog Entry 3
Today was a great day for me with WBCOOP. While I only played the first event of the day (the NLHE/PLO turbo) I managed to make the final table!

I busted in 4th after squeezing my way up the ladder, which was good for a 33$ scoop ticket and 50 points twards the WBCOOP TLB. With that score, it gives me a solid 30 point lead in my small prop bet vs matt and sets me up for hopefully a solid run at the TLB for the series. ^.^

The rest of my day went fairly well also. I had 2 other final tables where I made back to back 54$ turbo FT's on partypoker (won the 2nd one for 1.1k). I also had some other decent cashes and deep runs, with my biggest "score" of the day coming from cashing in the saturday 320$ Super KO for around 1.6k after KO bonuses.

As I FT'd a WBCOOP event today, and it was a turbo with not very many hands, I've decided that I will post the full HH for you guys to view if you desire to. I won't provide commentary on it, although if you are curious about any of the hands, post here and give me a re-tweet on twitter for my blog post and I'll give you my thoughts.

WBCOOP Blog Entry 4

Yesterday was my biggest losing day of the year, but really wasn't that bad overall. Ran something like a -50% roi for my weekly sunday package. So, while it sucked, it could have easily been a lot worse.

My day involved me having a 7th in the early 33 1r1a on stars, an 18th in the hotter 33, and a bunch of other smaller cashes. I also near bubbled the mill on KK<AA. >.< So had a lot of opportunities again at some nice $$ but failed to follow through. So it goes.

I didn't play any WBCOOP events yesterday as I was too focused on my normal grind, although i will be playing the 4 max tomorrow as well as the 5 card draw. Hopefully I can get in another FT ^.^

Ya, Sunday inflates my stats for AFS.

For Sunday I sell the majority of my action. So while overall I'll end up having an AFS of 1400, in actuality its around 1k or so effectively for myself/my backers.
