on a more serious note: it was so easy and simple last couple of months to just buy BTC every month and increase long position => sadly didnt do it, but hopefully lesson learnt and will probably buy every month BTC and just have long position with liquidation price somewhere 8k

this is probably the best indicator to tell us what to expect next => a much expected correction and accumulation for next move up

Most of the time I get the feeling that Im playing vs BOTs and not HUMANs at partypoker, absolutely ridiculous variance
Might just move down to NL50 and play there with 600 BI bankroll, thats what this ridiculous variance is trying to do to my mental game
But to be honest I dont care if its NL100 or NL50 as long as I do my points to get elite and have decent monthly profit 10k USD
Cant really complain given I had a good year profit wise so If I get this month only 5k profit its whatever...

I think its almost impossible to be a winner prerakeback playing 100 FF if you aim for avg TOP2 leaderboard, TOP2 affiliate race and trying to get diamond elite.

So XRP is short-term in downtrend, I expect it to go as low as 0.46 to make a double bottom, that is a great place to buy/ long

Its quite amazing to finish +130k from poker in 2020 without a single hour of studying, just playing NL50z/ NL50 FF and NL100z/ NL100FF
Actually I didnt studying anything from 2017, thats probably why I didnt move up, but to be honest Im ok with playing NL100FF with good hr/$ and same or better results than most NL200z players.
Not saying im better, but rather my main goal is to make money regardless of any opinion of someone who puts in a lot of studying, but plays so little that his winnings are smaller.
Better to use my free time to relax and with my family
Hopefully in 2021 I manage my money better

maybe 2021 will be breakthrough year in crypto trading, although Im confident I can get another +100k year from poker( probably 200k If I move at some point at NL200FF)

Nice year mate - I would say thought that studying makes playing poker a lot more fun for real.

Poker is such a huge part of your life that I think it's quite important to enjoy it too. I got a bit involved in the PP madness this year but almost everyone I know who has been doing it a long time has ended up hating the game, and that is a steep price to pay for a extra bit of EV.

well If I would start poker again I would study more, but given I already played millions of hands I already studied most of the spots in one way or another by playing
its hard to find extra time to study when I have to play a lot of hours to make certain target rake in order to achieve diamond club elite and to spend time with family

Didnt find it necessary, but should start improving my game. Actually I have no idea how to study( not kidding)
Last few months it feels like im constantly playing against BOTs. Or maybe Im constantly running bad and giving too much credit to people that have 0 bluffs and that feel entitled to sun run => This is probably me tilting right now.
Also having a long position in XRP right now doesnt help me mentally and financially. Its amazing that its the only top coin to lose money in a bull market.

Its weird to feel " broke" when I had my first +100k year, probably because of " underachievement" regarding potential winnings.

You are right, shorting now BTC is the most logical thing to do. There is too much greed and euphoria right now regarding BTC
Actually it MUST drop 30% probably 50% at some point. This is looks like one of those times.

So my confidence is low right now in poker. 10 days in January and im at +0$ after rakeback. Probably no shame in dropping to NL50 even though im very overrolled for it( 400 BI). Im just tilting hard seeing against who Im playing and losing for whatever reason. The way I see it NL100 FF player pool is just one big ****ing joke.

Im not even sure whats the point in having this thread, probably just a way to express my feelings and thoughts about poker and what Im doing, but really its probably -EV

You are playing lots of hands per hour with assumedly a really low winrate, insane variance is to be expected. Did you lose a bunch of the 130k from last year trading crypto? Seems insane to move down unless you had a much better winrate over large samples last year at 50nl than 100nl and feel your hourly will be higher. Seems like pretty simple math to figure out what your highest hourly path is and then just do that. Surprised you made it through last year if a breakeven 10 day sample is stressing you out this much, I'd imagine that will be quite common for this type of grind. glgl
