This is not a challenge to prove that I am good, it's because that's all i have right now for poker. Long story short, I am a bad player (bad skills, and bad mindset). At least for right now.

I don't want to brag about my problem right now, or my poker history right now. because i think, nobody cares.

The challenge is for me being more discipline. Discipline to keep mindful mind when winning and losing, keep study, and keep grinding. Not to chase a losing session or play bigger games to chase some buyins.
Also maybe this Post will get me a new poker friends . because i don't have any poker friends IRL

My ultimate goal is of course to get a nice side income or maybe get a better income than my 9to5 job. But that is so far from reality.
This all Challenge is for me to get from $50 (25BI PLO2) to $50.000 (250BI PLO200)
Don't know, maybe it's too high of a hopeful dream right now.

So why is omaha? Because i see that maybe Online NLHE is very hard to beat now. All the regs are getting better. so the opportunity is maybe in Live nlh or online PLO.
I saw someone post a 1 million hand on PLO200 for >5bb/100 and it motivates me. maybe online poker isn't dead? maybe i can still do better than before.

Learning Status:
- I Am currently working on my preflop games with plo matrix. Trying to learn 100bb , 50bb, and last 250bb.
- Have a from the ground up plo, but haven't finish it yet.

My current bankroll is just $50 .
My plan is to play PLO2 zoom and regular table, maybe most of it will be zoom to get more volume.
Play some $1-$5 mtt.

My 1st step goal is to play PLO10 with $500 (50BI) and work to at least PLO25 with $1000 (50BI) because PLO10 lower the rake is high.
Then go to PLO 50 higher with 200 BI. I now play on GG because it have a lot of traffic, but maybe will move to stars also, after I could play on PLO25 because i could get 40% rakeback from the challenge.

Wish me luck guys, I hope i will be discipline to be better.
I would update my status, and some of interesting hands, and some of story hopefully weekly.

Please give me any advice or tips that would help me.
Best Regards, Thank You

Hey, advice from someone who did this and succeeded..

If you have anything short of great discipline: Find someone who is a good coach whom has done what you are attempting and pay for regular coaching sessions.

Hi, your project sounds very interesting. My suggestion would be to only focus on cash or MTTs at the beginning and in cash to only regular tables. I think at the start you want to focus more on the quality of your play rather than getting high volume. You are going to be learning a lot of new stuff and it's going to be very hard to execute that in game if you are playing a lot of tables and mixing MTTs+cash.

Good luck!

Hi thank you for your advice. I once try to get a NLH coach. and he is really helps me. I think what i need now is a mentor or mindset coach. to help me more discipline, focus and mindful. then i try to find PLO coach. But for now I can't do it because of my Poker Bankroll and my IRL Bankroll. but thanks

Thank you for your advice and your suggestion. I really Should just play on cash table to get my strategy and play. but sometimes i got this stupid ambition to win big in the MTT, and end up losing . gotta work my self discipline.

So I plan to update this post weekly, but TODAY is so bad. and i need to share this maybe to get help in the future.

Long story short I can't take a loss very good. I always try to chase my loss, to get to winning in the end of my day. I know this is bad mindset. I want to fix this. please anybody give me a tips or advice not to chase loss.

Here is my DAY2 challenge. this is embarrassing in day 2.

-Day 1, starts with $50
-Sets the Responsible gaming feature not to bet more than $5
-Play some PLO2 zoom cash running pretty good, win little
-Play mtt bet&go and other small plo&nlh mtt, lose little
-Decide to try GG casino games (this is stupid of my addiction). so I look at the Roulette that have stupid electricity that will make the winner X50-X1000. I play couple of bet to chase my tournament loss. and in the end up winning like $10 more.
-End of day 1 is around $57

Day 2, the more stupid decision by me
-so I try to finish GG honeymoon challenge
-winning $3 from AoF SnG BR:$60
-Winning C29 from GG Cares flipout tournament this really makes my confident boost BR:$60+C29

-Play a couple PLO2 when I am in work (this is bad), and when i am in the barber.

-Then the stupid idea comes. if a single bet of roulette pay me 34 to 1, why I don't bet all the number? it will make me lose just some of the bet, and hopefully I could get the x50 or x1000.
when i check it's not 34to1 like normal roulette. it's just 20to1. so if i bet all the number it will guarantee me to loose 14xbets
-Then I said to myself, this is stupid. I am not playing this strategy. I am down from $60 to around $49. and said to myself okay let's just bet $9 on red and out if i am lose. i bet and win. bankroll back to $58. I should just out and play some PLO.
-BUT, I choose another number, just like drake in my social media video, hopefully win a jackpot. then lose, lose, then **** it, just bet 10 on red, and lose, bet 20 on black then lose, and bet another 20 and lose all my $60.
-I and up really tilting. and want to chase my loss. I jump to PLO25 and play from my C25 earlier, and end up win 50bb. bankroll back to $37.
-Then i want to chase my loss again to get back to $60 earlier. than decide to make fast money playing Allin/Fold nlh $8 buy in. play couple of hands win 1 and win 2 win again, until my bankroll -back to $70. I call it okay I am back. now i have to change back my limit to $5 and play discipline.
-Nope, some Idea come in mind. why i don't play 1 hand of Blackjack? just bet 10 to get back to $80 and if i lose, i still in $60.
play 1st hand and lose $11. repeat, win $11. did i stop? no bet 1 more, lose again, lose again, win again win again, then last is win. I stop when my BR is $80
-this is serious. I need to be discipline.
-last I play nlh mtt and lose $8
-play omaholic, and luckly got 3rd place for $20. now my bankroll is back in $92.

I wanna share some of my interesting hands. but i still remembering of my stupid decision today. luckily I still got my chance.
tomorrow I Will not chase my losing again. hopefully
Like I said this is not all about my skill or money, it's a challenge to be discipline.

I am in the same boat as you pretty much. Have been playing on and off NLH and always tilting or playing my BR away and than taking a break for several month. Recently started playing PLO with a different mindset but I have been pretty down recently since I really have been noticing the micro rake kick in. I read several times that rake is brutal and even for really goo players hard to profit in micros but I did not believe it. And on top of that I live in germany and have to pay 30% more rake than you with less rakeback than everyone else. I payed 18bb/100 rake in my last 15k hands. Kinda makes me want to quit since I dont know if I can get out of the micros.

yes, thank you for your reply, how is it going for you now?
and yes, the rake is so high. I want to play on stars too, if i had the volume, i could get 40% rakeback, +12% chest. but haven't got the time for the volume right now.

Hi guys, an update from my challenge, it's like almost 2 weeks.

My challenge didn't go well in this 2 weeks.
Kinda still playing some NLH and MTT. run deep a couple mtt, but don't get to win big money.

Tired, Tilt, wanna chase the losing balance, try to play bigger games. I jump to PLO25 and PLO50 with my $75 bankroll, hope to get double up, back to more than $100. it didn't go well after losing AAxx preflop allin. My bankroll is down to 0.

decided to deposit another 50, 2 or 3 times. and end up playing casino games and play higherstakes to get lucky.

AND YES, I got lucky. played at flip and go, because i have a challenge in GG. played $2.5 entry, loss. play again $2.5 loss. I loss all the flip, then decide to play 1 $3 flip&go and won it, so i turn $15 to $444

Decided to withdraw the money, before i lose it all again.
I pay some of my debt with that winning. (I still have like around $1.500 debt because of poker)

then i decide not to play on GG again. I know the traffic is good, and promotion is also good, but I can't dodge playing bigger games to get the promotion, and win bigger.

Now I decide to play on stars and pokerbros. I don't know how is it going next, but hopefully it will be better than before. SO my challenge on GG is over, and the challenge now i move to stars and bros.
PLO2 to PLO200 dream Quote

Now I play on stars with $180
and play on pokerbros with $220
why i play on them, in stars, i could block tournament, and casino games. I maybe will do the challenge for 40% rb next month.
Bros, because of the "softness" of the player like some other promote it, also i could get >35% rb weekly.

my strategy is to play PLO10 on stars and PLO20 (it's the lowest stakes here) on bros.
I know it's really bad BRM. my strategy is to play 50bb starting chips.

Could someone experience play 50bb give me tips or something? is it better just to lower 1 stakes with 100bb, rather than take shot higher stakes with 50bb?

my study plan still on preflop, i studied 100bb, now i moving to 50bb strategy.

Mindset is everything
I am addicted to gambling, I am addicted to porn.

Gambling/Poker
I can't take losing very well, always want to chasing the losing, want to play bigger games, to get bigger results.
I read so many articles or mindset video, but when i do it, i always failed it.
I decide to get a help from online mentoring for $15,
she really helps me, although it's all I already know from other material or video, but it's kinda reminding me of what I should do
the main thing she said is

"don't always want to reach the bigger goals for now. Just focus on the process, focus on the small steps"

It's really helps me to think this, and want to be focus just grinding from small again, and not to take shot, especially when lossing. will it work? idon't know, but i have to be more discipline. wish me luck guys..

PORN

stupid porn, maybe it's natural for boys to look at porn? but it's really have bad impact to my brain.
I am really adicted to it, because of the easy to browse porn, sometimes I just look at my phone, or look at my PC.
sometimes i do it when night, sometimes i look it when i am in my office at work. it really bad, it really effect my working.

I keep not to look at it, but the thrust is so bad.
If i don't you know, pop it. maybe i still have the mind at night, or maybe tomorrow , and maybe the day after.
Or even I pop it, i kinda feel bad, and not have enough mind to get other things done.

I wanna stop porn and stop masturbate.
I believe in instant karma, after I masturbate, it always give me a instant bad karma. I want to stop this. but still in the process

all of my addiction, it really damage my brain, and damage my way of thinking.

I have this girl that I like, in our religion organization. she doesn't know that I like her. I still not brave enough to tell her. because my life is still bad.
sometimes she is the reason and motivation of me to be discipline. I wanna change for her, but maybe I need help too. I don't know is this a good or bad motivation, but, i don't know.

in the end, I want to get rid of this addiction, could someone give me any tips?

Best regards

Inspirational videos(TED takls etc), deeper understanding of habits/addiction.

It's work and in most cases will take time to get to the root of things..

The power of habit and The willpower instinct are good books related to addiction/quitting. They have youtube summaries, too.

Yes, I am addicted to porn right now.

I believe in Karma,

First I thought why my crush is not liking me back. is it because i watch porn and get a bad karma?
I try to stop watching porn and stop masturbate.
It kinda work, for maybe a weeks or even almost 2 weeks.
still watch some porn, but not really masturbate.

In the end , It doesn't even matter.
I do my best (in my opinion) but, you can't make someone love you back.

I mean maybe my motivation is wrong (fear of bad karma, and fear of losing her), but it's really made me better not to masturbate.
now i try to move on from her, but we still meet for each other.
I still want to try and Fight for her , but in the end it doesn't even matter.

Gonna fix myself right now first, then think about relationship later

You asked me in my own thread about study advice. First off, that 6543ss 4b hand is setting money on fire. Get your tilt under control. However much you study it will not compensate for plays like that. Most people don't realize how much one or two tilt-sessions a month can ruin their winrate.

Secondly, I'll recommend PLO Trainer if you have the means. You can quiz preflop and there are multiple postflop solutions to study as well. Easier than to run all your hands through a solver.

Hi, Yes, First, thank you for your Reply, I really appreciate that.
Yes, I am still learning to improve my mental game, like take a loss, and move on, and stay focus and stay patient. I try to meditate and listen to calm music, but sometimes still get an emotional effect from playing. hopefully this will be better in the next month.

I thinking about that. but because I play in microstakes (PLO5 & PLO10 now). $149 a month will be big for me now. maybe I will subscribe to plo trainer if I played on PLO50 with enough bankroll. so now I just try to find some free material, review hand myself and find the forum to discuss some hands.

I really happy that you see my post. I mean, you are the one that inspire me that the dream is still on, that the online poker is not really dead. too bad you don't offer some coaching tough, but I understand your reason. do you have a group for discussion like that? so maybe I could ask some of the tips and trick

APRIL UPDATE: a lot happens to me last month.

        positives:
-I come back to my grinding routine. I play more this month to finish the weekly rakeback challenge. raking $150 to get $60. so i play around 25.000 hands this month. and finish all 4 weeks challenge, to get a $240 rakeback.
-Pokerstars have other mini challenge and i could get some of the rakeback from that promotion (around $42)
-I got some nice score playing tournament when I play

        Negatives:
-tilting, one day i chase my loses. i think i lost $200 from playing casino games on IP (but now i already block the games)
-still watching porn, when i watch it, i don't have mood to play anymore.
-still not study much after i subscribe the plo trainer

        Grinding:
-Now i play PLO25 with 50bb strategy, so i got more buyin rather than buying in for 100bb.
-So it less likely to lose bigger than 100bb
-Playing PLO25 is really help me to get the target of $150rake(and get $60rb)
-Playing PLO10 for 100 buy in, just to get the pokerstars leaderboard promotion
-playing some NLH tournament, when the time is good, and my mood is good.

        Studywise:
-I subscribe to omahapro, i got a 1 month free for my first month
-I subscribe to 1 month of plotrainer, because they have a 50% promotion for their 5 year anniversary.
-after the subscribtion, I thinking about bet sizing strategy. that usually works on different board. so now I have a strategy.
        - haven't study and training much because i am really tired and lazy after i got home.
-also i got a couple of days of free trial of PLO vision, thanks to their team

        Relationship:
        - I am grateful that my family still healthy and in good condition .
-I think i kinda want to move on to my last girl, i don't know, still have a feeling for her, even tough she doesn't recognize me anymore.

        Next Goal in may:
-have a task for my monastery organization. we got big event coming, and i am part of the organizer. so i will have many meetings, and
-can't grind like before. maybe play some tournament or regular table, but not finding volume
-my plotrainer subscribtion will expire this month, but I contact the plotrainer admin, and they say that maybe they could give me special price, but still a lot for PLO25 player like me. but i wanna subscribe it when i got the money in June or July.
-think i will get more serious to my game again after early June.

Wish me luck guys, please if you have any advice, please reply this massage,
        Best Regards
