Hello everyone,

I am new to 2+2 and want to first apologize if I am posting in the wrong spot. I did see the beginner questions forum but decided to post this here because this is going to be about a goal. I started playing online back in 2005 but only recently have I been even close to playing up to speed. By that I mean I have recently bought Poker Tracker 4 and have been using a HUD. I am still new to PT4 and still consider myself new to online poker although I have been playing for 8 years. My goal more now than ever has been to make a living playing online poker but I just keep struggling. I need help big time! I am about to finally throw in the towel for good. I have heard a lot about the help on here so I am hoping someone is willing to help me out. Just to point out as well I don't know how to use PT4 very well so I don't know how to post graphs I literally need help with almost everything thats why I said I consider myself new still. I always deposit either $25 or $50 and try to play 2NL or $1.50 6 max STT's and try to build a bankroll but every time I even get close to around $100 I seem to just start losing and then go bust until I put another $25 or $50 on. I am way to frustrated with 2NL and I know that it is a huge debate that if you can't beat 2NL then you can't beat higher stakes. I am more toward disagreeing to that mostly because to me it seems like no matter what you do, no matter how big a raise pre-flop a few will always call and keep calling your bets until one of them spikes that river to make a flush or straight and beat you. I find it to difficult to play around I really have no idea what to do. The only time I have seemed to do any good is when I play higher stakes but then go bust cause I am not properly managing my bankroll. So like I said I would need lots of help if anyone is up for it. I am going to try and learn a lot by reading Harrington's book for 6 max online cash games. I read it once and found that it has a lot of good info for getting me up to speed I just need to keep reading it until I understand and remember it all. On top of that I am going to go through my PT4 and watch all the tutorial videos so I can learn how to use that properly. I am thinking about saving up $200 while taking the time to study then sticking with 2NL until I can properly move up. I want to just play 6 Max cash the only reason I play the STT's is sometimes (not lately) I win a lot of those and can build my bankroll but lately I just keep losing. So I apologize for this lengthy introduction/goal of mine and hope someone can help cause I am literally very close to just throwing in the towel for good! Thanks!

Can't really offer any advice of value for online play as I live in a state that doesn't allow us to play and haven't played online since Black Friday. Just try to practice good bankroll management while building your roll. And don't be put off about posting. Try posting in the internet poker forum, prob find more help there. Good luck.

Also read all the stickies in the forums that apply to the games you are interested in getting better at. They are stickies for a reason. Tons of great info and links in them. Not sure how much it would help, but also check out the stickies in LLSNL. They have helped me get back up to speed after having not played as much as I would have liked over the last few years.

Thanks for the reply. I was under the impression this site was about all forms of poker internet and live. I will have to check out the stickies thanks for the tip.

Well I think I am going to just study for a while and save up around $200 for a starting bankroll. When I am at that point I will start a thread for my challenge/goals. If anyone wants to say anything still I will occasionally check back to see. If anyone wants to help(would be greatly appreciated) I play on PokerStars and my SN is: Taylor1620. Right now I only have around $6 that I will occasionally play with until I'm ready to start my challenge. Thank you.
