Hey everyone, What’s up! I am so excited to get this CFP program started! My name is Lance and I am 36 yrs old. I am originally from the States but my family just got done moving to Ecuador, and in turn I have the opportunity to play poker again! There were several reasons for our move, and by living down here I have the opportunity to play and study as much poker as I need to in order to help take care of my family! My hobbies are my poker, sports, and getting to know this beautiful country.

I started to play in 2002, right before the boom. My wife and I watched a WPT event on TV and we were hooked, and we spent the next 6 years immersed in poker. It was a dream come true, and I got to do all this with my wife having the same passion! In 2008, we hit a bad year along with the economy at the time! We had some tough choices to make and decided to quit poker for awhile and choose something that would be more stable for our young son, and family at the time.

I have missed full time playing ever since, but I did enjoy the opportunity of going back to school and getting my degree. I always hoped there would be a time to get back into playing again, but I thought it would be when I was much older. Lol I know 36 is really old in the poker world! I started to play again full time a couple of week s ago thinking I could start playing the same style of how I left and it would work. I was so wrong, everything has changed and left me back in 2008! I realized very quickly I was going to need coaching!

I found BPC while looking for a coach, and they are very unique versus other coaching methods and I was sold. I am so grateful to be a part of this team. I think this structure is amazing and I can’t wait to meet new people. I know I am missing a lot in my game, and I am hungry to find my leaks as quick as possible, to become the best me I can be. It’s time to step up and put in the work and lead my family like a lion. Be the king of the jungle or get eatin’ bitches!!

Until next time,

So the good news was I watched a ton of videos and ended up getting all the way through module 1! The bad news is I didn’t play, I got hooked into the videos and overwhelmed by the homework. The more I watched the videos the more I wanted to learn and less I wanted to play.

It was a humbling experience, I didn’t realize how far behind the curve I am, but it won’t be for long! I will work as hard as I need, until combos and equities are burned into my long-term memory!

I am ready to crush this day!!!! Today I will be playing, but now a true grind yet. There was a lot of homework from module 1 that I would like to spend a few hours on. I good goal will be 5k hands and 5 hours of studying. When I get done with the homework I will grind more hands.

Good luck everyone, lets stand out among the pack and be the best we can be today!

Anyways, very productive day! I considered this my first true day of grinding. I have spent the last couple days studying. All this info is overwhelming, and I started to realize my age when it took me so long to get some of this technical stuff down!

I just finished day 2 of the Discipline Test #2- Stop Loss. I really wanted to grind today, but I only had 2 buy ins to work with. I was a little nervous, since today was the first day working with the new ranges. It was a true roller coaster between 1 buyin up and 1 buyin down. I ended up -$10, so pretty much B/E, I am happy about that on day 1.

I really like playing with these new ranges! I know I need help post flop, but these new ranges make me play much looser which is fun! I started with one table and finally got to 4 and finished up with just over 2k hands and 8 hours of grind.

I am going to finish up some studying and then maybe start tomorrows grind in an hour or so. I am hungry and ready. Grind your ass off!! Today could be the day the light bulb goes off!!! GL

If failure is not an option then you shouln't have chosen bpc

Best of luck however, given that you live in ecuador it might just be a lot easier to reach your goal of providing for your family.
