Such a humble guy Pete. Could be coaching the top 50 players as the best theoretician but instead only coaches 25nl players. And now moves down in stakes and to a way softer site from 200 zoom, a game he definitely wasn’t losing in

0-2bb pre RB, winner after rb+bonuses, but 400k hands for him would take something like 2 years which would take normal hard working grinder like 2-3months so yeah, im pretty sure he wont even finish the challenge.

I didn't see did he say how much time he was dedicating to the challenge? Is he still going to coach?

I think if he 2 tables and plays 5-6 hours/day, he should be able to get it done within a year.

I reckon Peter could achieve 12bb/100. I'm actually looking forward to seeing the outcome of all this. Would definitely give me, and possibly lots of other aspiring players some hope that the game isn't dead!

The guy is honest, I have to say. He is in it (up til this challenge) to grow his business, make courses, earn a living via mostly passive incoming and lead a healthy life. Grinding for a living not exactly the most healthy or even the best lifestyle in the world.

He recognize not having a decent sample played in current games would make any graph he posts irrelevant anyways.

Last, what he offers, even if it might be considered a bit overpriced, delivers some value, and as far as I know, it is hard to find anything massively wrong in his teachings, maybe the more advanced guys here can find. There are people buying his products, and hiring him, and the poker market, thankfully, still is a free, capitalistic one.

I cannot help but say that I´m not 100% confident he will complete this, or even if he does, complete it in a reasonable timeframe. We have more than one example of people who took years to complete those types of challenges, and still managed to make money in their businesses regardless of that, like Doug Polk, Charlie Carrel etc

He streamed a couple sessions on the Carrot Corner twitch last month. His latest vids on youtube talk about it, but no updates on how far he is or the schedule for completion.

I remember he went on a long ass rant on a 965r flop CO vs BB where he talks about bb should be donking a ton and how its significantly better for bb etc and how bb has all the sets, 2 pairs, st8s etc

when if you just took 2 seconds to think, bb vs co 3bets 99 at some freq
, doesnt have 95s (at least I dont defend) and co opens all the sets/st8's/65s so the only adv bb has vs co is 96s which is like only 1% of their range 2-3 combos vs 300 total lol

much different than say an 875 flop that gives bb a bit more top set/96s/64s/85s

Yeh it's 100% this. And that's not a negative perception on Pete's ability just the impact of gg's rake. So yes I'm surprised too he'd put himself through this for so many hands. I know he has some new courses and this is probably a good advert to drive viewers there. I think his Rio and free YouTube stuff is good and he has a unique way of explaining concepts (although I think his YouTube has gone a big click-baity of late which might be part of a push to attract more beginning players.)
