my name is Alex i have 30 years old and i ve been playing poker for half of my life. At the age of 22 I became pro on live cash game starting playing 1-2 then moving up to 1-3 and being stable on 2-4 and 5-5 with some shots at 5-10. After a couple years due to personal issues i ended up broke and since then i never really played seriously especially online. I thought that online was too different from live and maybe there are some accounts that run better than the others on average which means that the "random factor" is not that random. My main issue is tilting. I really struggled all my life with my tilting problems. I have ADHD so my struggle is very concrete and hard to defeat for whom knows what that is. Now i want to invest time on studying (i did it a lot so far but i ll keep going) and playing regularly focus on playing my A game and facing my demons.

The challenge that i want to start with is from 80$ to 1000$ starting with NL2.

I think for this target i would fairly need 4 months if everything goes accordingly to the plan. If my head doesn't betray me =). I'll keep track of every single session on this thread and i ll post the most remarkable hands.

So after 500 hands this is the result. I didn't run great but overall it was ok.
I wanted to share some hands but I don't know why my tracker is recording my hands but not showing them since yesterday, i wrote to the support and I'm waiting for an answer.

I'm occasionally playing some mtts also on partypoker (cashgame is played on pokerstars) I'm trying to play microstakes as well today i opened 4 mtts and managed to make 2 final tables and a couple of days ago i won one 1$ tournament which is not bad in terms of ROI. On this side, I am satisfied

so those 500 hands didn't go as expected i had few bad beats and in that very point i started to tilt and play badly (bluffing in microstakes is pointless). That's why I decided to quit the session.

so my run is pretty awful xD i m really running like **** but keep going...

I really think that some accounts are just meant to lose guys... I beat NL25 and 50 on partypoker i dont beat NL2 on stars... in 50 hands i got 4 coolers against. it is unreal. I always had this impression and I m not the only one but now I start to think that is obvious. How is it possible that every 10 hands i got a cooler against? I mean, ok this is a wrong session could happens. But it is around 6k hands. This is just impossible

I think you need to deepen your knowledge of variance.

Use this site to see how much spread we can get even with significant distances of 100-200k hands, not to mention such small distances as 6k hands.

if you dont understan variance stop playing poker...

6k hands mean nothing...

I dropped 10 buy ins in just over 1K hands a few days back at NL5 and I really was not playing that bad and maybe at a push could have saved a couple of buy ins. It might be worth posting up a few hands just to get different opinions on them, I always find that helps as just in the graphs you posted I think there could be a number of leaks to work on.

ok man, no need to be rude =) take it easy. we are not all world champion with millions of hands behind. I see myself at a beginner at the beginning of a journey
