Hey

I'm going to sell for the $10k 6m, $10k HU and $10k PLO

$10k 6m - I just realized in all my hhs that I'm selling its 6max I have the WCOOP 700 the weekly 215 from last week, the $55 turbo that I think I played well in all three. In general I really love 6m events so really looking forward to playing this one.

$10k PLO - definitely by far not one of the best plo cash game players in the field, but I feel like a lot of them play tournaments particularly bad. Have had good success online and came 14th last year in this event (only live PLO tournament I've played) for $40k. Looking forward to this one too.

$10k HU, this one I'm unsure about. I actually have been practicing and playing a lot of HU recently and feel like the current HU games played at the highest stakes (sngs) are extremely interesting. The field last year in this tournament was remarkably amazing iirc. Will very likely play. Here's field from last year http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=287331

MUs will be pretty low, 1.08, 1.05, 1.05 probably.

Hey nah I don't want to do anything like this anymore. No more props, no more bets, just focusing on playing well and making good decisions everytime it's my turn.

Good luck though, hope to see you a bunch out there.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

OK cool. Thats exactly the same mentality that I aim for too.

1.08 sounds a bit too low MU for the 10k 6m imo. Or at least the gap between markups in the 10k 6m and the 10k plo/10k HU seem too small anyway (not that I know anything about your PLO or HU game to be fair, just that are very good at NLH tourneys and 6max is a bonus). Not sure if you played it before but I played it for the first time last year and was much softer than expected.

I'm sure we will see a lot of each other out there.

Best thread on 2plus2 btw. Esp enjoy the HH's.

Last year was pretty good. Last two tables in the 10k PLO losing a std flip to go 5/14 and then last 3 tables of a 2000 runner field $1500 losing Kk v qq for 2/20 as well as another last 30 or so in $1500.

Times were tough at times, I had an emotional roller coaster, but it was pretty fun. This year mentally I'm incredibly strong and I think this will be my last year going to Vegas. I cannot wait for it and I'm going to be so ready and prepared mentally, physically and strategically that I'm going to put myself in as many positions as possible to do really well. Of course MTT variance dictates that playing such a few amount of tournaments that I can easily do poorly results wise, but I know that when I'm flying back on July 18th I'm not going to have any regrets.

Here is likely schedule I'll play, some tournaments are on the fence such as the 10k hu.

June 6th - $1500 no limit
June 7th - $10,000 no limit HU
June 8th - $1500 no limit 6max
June 10th - $1500 millionaire maker
June 11th - $1500 millionaire maker
June 12th - $1000 no limit

June 14th - $3000 no limit 6max

June 29th - $10000 PLO
June 30th - $3000 no limit

July 1st - $888
July 1st - $888
July 2nd - $888
July 2nd - $888
July 3rd - $1500 no limit
July 3rd - $1500 o8
July 4th - $1000 no limit
July 5th - $5000 no limit
July 6th - $1000 tag team

July 7th - $3000 o8
July 8th - $111,111 one drop

Well I think there are many. Either playing too tight or too loose pre flop.

Like let's say there's 500 runners in this MTT and 55 get paid. You're 20/60 and chip leader is 2 to your left I think the Skandi guys and a lot of cash game guys will just be too stubborn/want to push edges too much that they will open/call 3bets too wide. I mean PLO MTT gto it might be fine to continue pushing these small edges by the bubbles in these things last so long, remember there's no antes and cashing is pretty huge. I think if you're 20 out of 60 with 55 laying not cashing is a pretty big disaster if everybody else is playing hyper aggro still.

I also think same can be said for money bubbles, like people playing so loose and reckless post bubble that if you're 2
From a pay jump it's probably a legit concern to make it when the guys in the other tables are going to get it in at a super high frequency and end up having like 55/45 equity.

Last year was a real shame I had very very bad food poisoning. I felt so ill and people were suggesting I leave the tournament and go home. I remember there was 25 left I should have been in my element I remember very well being 3bet my Shaun Deeb and there being some Metagame going on with me leading flops vs him but I couldn't enjoy it all I wanted to was **** haha

There's more stuff like I think limping is really underrated and something Mercier probably does better than most people.

On final tables (online at least) people opening where the big stack is going to 3bet over 50% of the time and they are just opening hands because of their ego. Like not even borderline.

Heh, will see if I play it. Won't start selling to it etc, just see how it goes in the series. The structure is very bad and I wouldn't want to have big piece of myself in a 100k turbo and wouldn't charge a big mu as that's just not what I like to do so most likely won't play or will sell it all to one person.

Hey yeah I think actually the whole betting etc thing was big weakness I had. I think if it doesn't effect you then it's super +Ev but it just made me
Think too deep about stuff etc.

Regarding the markups, God knows, just try to always make them lowish and have value for both parties.

Thanks for nice words man <3

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Actually only played once this week and it was a pretty poor session. Waiting to get an additional Internet for the house and will grind more from my room rather than office. Will just be a bit quieter and easier to stream and do calls with people this way. Have done a bunch of coaching throughout the week though so it's been ok. Does anybody have any experience sleeping with ear plugs? Anything bad about doing to? Any negative potential impacts? I get woke up often and it really disrupts my sleeping schedule, what kind of noise cancellations does it help with? Really quite a noob with this stuff..

Planning on playing big volume this week, Saturday is pretty good day online and obviously Sunday is huge.

Really starting to get high excitement for Vegas this year. Just so many great tournaments to look forward to and looking forward to being out there.

Have no urge to play EPT Monaco at all which is a little bit weird. Not sure exactly why maybe some deeper mental issues there regarding running bad at EPTs which would be sad, but just right now at least justifying it as a bad business decision to go to Monaco and play a tournament like this when the expenses are so huge. I'm also feeling really healthy now. For all my life I've ate so poorly. So much **** food and unhealthy food but right now I'm eating better than I ever have done previously. Going to s stop like an EPT for 10 days completely destroys that kind of rhythm. Will make it a high priority to eat well this summer in Vegas. I think All American Dave is pretty solid option.

Will be living in a house with some UK cash guys this year which will be nice. Looking for a 4/5 bedroom place so if anybody has a really awesome place then lmk

I don't mean this in an arrogant way, I was going to say I'm looking forward or excited to be flying Business class to Vegas, I've never done that before but the feeling is more relief not to have such a long journey there with no comfort etc. I have to fly from Budapest to London and then from London to Vegas, it's abit of a trek.

The way I see poker now is pretty simplistic. I see everything that I do as just a puzzle, best decision = puzzle, I have to get it right and it should be mentally stimulating or at least motivating for me to want to ensure that I get each "puzzle" and it naturally stops me from auto- piloting.

Have some negative stuff I'd really love to write about that effects me on a day to day basis but it would cause some aggro so not going to do that, maybe at a later date!

Three new coaches joined our stable this month, will announce them next month, all complete sickos.

Lastly huge football game this weekend with huge conflict of interest. Newcastle play Sunderland at 1:30 in the biggest game in our history probably, win and we likely stay up, lose and almost all hope is lost, the biggest six pointer ever it seems. At 3pm my football team plays the Vikings. They are currently joint too with us and whoever wins will likely win the league. Let's hope for 12 points this Sunday!

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

From what I learned when I was considering this earplug thing some while ago, I think there are some health risks. For one, I read that ear wax naturally drains out of your ear and when you use the plugs constantly there is a risk of it clogging in your ear without you ever noticing it. Then they'd have to surgically remove it. However, I read this on the internet and we shouldn't believe everything out there, I'd ask a doctor instead.

Vegas sounds like a very exciting challenge and a super tough grind, hope I'll be able to go on a grind like that some day.

Connect those puzzle pieces papi and create a work of art 😁

Ya this is what I do as well, only downfall is the times I don't sleep at home (or my parents home when I go back to the US), I don't sleep that well, but assume the same would happen if you randomly didn't wear the earplugs some time once you got used to them as well

Im sleeping for years with wax ear plugs, its just the best thing you can do if you are a bit noise-sensitive and are waking up all the time. No negative impact except the fact, that its tough to sleep without them. Wax ear-plugs are the best, give them a try

Slept with plugs for 6 months straight back in the army days. Since then been on and off with using them. If you choose high quality (=soft) plugs, you're unlikely to get any negative impact from them. Also, if your ear canals get irritated from using them, just take a night or two off and try another brand.

Ha I would love to mate but too close to home to unfortunately. In fact have 3 things I'd really love to chat about, two is venting and one is very personal. I think that in the future (next 6 months) I'll write about them all

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Have lost a lot of motivation regarding playing. I really really love coaching, it's probably my favourite thing to do, hours go by so quickly and doing reports on people's stats I really get into it and I love trying to help in ways where people can't learn from watching Runitonce videos. Basically I want to be the very personal coach that deals exclusively with players mistakes they are making and rectifying them ASAP rather than making general theory videos as that's not what I excel in.

On the their hand I've just lost so much motivation behind grinding midweek and instead have loved being healthy. Eating well, going to the gym, sleeping abit better, socializing more, going outside in the sunlight, meeting new people, meeting new kinds of people. Really just think I can enjoy life so much better than I have done over the last few years, the way that I play midweek is that I grind tonnes of tournaments like the 8r, 11c, 50 freezesouts on all sites and then 109r, 215 turbos, 320 6max, 500 party's, super Tuesday's, Thursday thrills, basically my results are completely dependent on how well I do in the bigger buy in events that are somewhere between 20-70x the size of other tournaments I'm playing. I actually feel better about my game right now than I ever have, I feel like my evbb/100 and general approach to MTTs is very top tier (alright pal settle down) but I feel myself less and less motivated to register the 22c or the big50 on .fr.

I really see myself in the future changing my shift and focus on poker. I love studying and love speaking about the game, I'm going to go all out on Sunday's and give it 100% (I haven't been doing this recently at all) if I have a football match I won't go, I won't go out Saturday night and drink I'll prepare somewhat, midweek I will do tonnes if self studying, going over almost every tournament from the Sunday and finding as many of the tough spots as possible and solving them using piosolver, HRC etc and then studying with top regs who I class as my best friends. I'll then coach both people in and outside the stable and spend my time midweek learning and studying when I want to and enjoying life, being healthy and being extremely fit. I won't have any excuses.

I will go to Vegas, put everything in, huge schedule and enjoy it and understand the variance and I will play every day during SCOOP and WCOOP.

I feel like this is the best way for me as a professional poker player to be. I will be making myself a better player every single day and spending time make sure I'm at the very top of the game.

I will likely start this after Vegas as I've commited to putting volume in this and next month and then it's SCOOP, but long term I really feel like this is where and what I should be doing.

I can and will be the best tournament player in the entire world, I'm confident of that, I know it won't be easy, but I won't do it from mindlessly regging tournaments, I'll put a lot of work in off the tables both mentally and physcial to and then be fully prepared to play my absolute A game when Sunday comes.

This also gives me other options and time and freedom to spend on working outside of poker, starting new companies, investing, travelling for meeting and just generally networking a lot better than currently.

Had an hours skype call with Sam Grafton tonight and he speaks a lot of wise words, was good to speak about stuff and different approaches towards poker, thanks again brother.

Not sure what people's opinions on this are? Happy to hear thoughts, criticism, ideas etc
