Was sweating the FT and was getting pretty tilted, tnxcomeagain showed AA,QQ,JJ in like 10minutes at showdown vs Pads...

Pads took some time (20seconds prob) on river before raising and a few seconds on river as well to call...

It's extremely tough for you to have AA beat there (and you certainly have to raise KJ at some point) so I think bet/3b river with AA isn't that terrible there on his part. If he does that then you're splitting with his jam range getting inf: 1 on a call so...

It also opens up a ton of other exploits for him since we have 0 calling range (all of which you're aware of I'm sure so I won't bother going on.)

Point is, don't beat yourself up for it. If your concern is that you're making mistakes not folding bottom set in a spot it's potentially not totally atrocious to do so then you're probably going to be very successful in the long run.

Also, as you pointed out, you went from lying in bed, having given up on sunday to booking a 25k score which probably pays for your BIs and pockets you 15k on the side which isn't a bad day.

Could have easily just lost 4/4 flips 18 handed and finished 15th like some other dolt .

People dont bluff not even close to enough in that spot to call with 77 oth we are at the top of ur range (except 22). In this case exploitativity > balanced play, so folding is better.

My point was that even if hes just not bluffing its not insane for him to value shove AA here (even at some small frequency) which is going to price us in...

I also called and totally knew i shouldnt. This feels like one of those spots where we really just want to see if REALLY we re getting that coolered.

Yea its an easy fold from the rail or thinking it through after but paranoia sets in when deep in mtts.

Don't rly know villain, but if he's a sicko would he have a bluffrange here? Like AK, KQ going for the hero play? Not KJ because that would be to fold out 77, which no one sane would try to accomplish but if BTN's valuerange is capped to 77 and he's as good as pads and you know this... Problem is that he doesn't have Jx, weak Kx to bluff with either since they check somewhere so with a bluffrange he's always targetting KJ+, which is an absurdly strong range to bluff out giving those potodds..

I guess thinking about it, no one probably should have a bluffrange there without some level 35 metagame or sth

Let's rewind 2 no this. There's 25 left in day 4 of a super deep WSOP. I'm playing my A game. Tightish guy opens, I peel ATs. Flop KTThhx he bets big I call. Turn 2, he checks, I bet huge, he calls. River 2, he checks I bet he jams.

He would always always bet Tx ott and probably not raise it on the river of he did get here like that. He just had to have KK here. He had no bluffing range in my view at all here. It was for 3x average chips or something silly. I passed my top boat and he showed me 33.. I thought abit this hand for hours and hours and just showed me people can do dumb **** lol. Some very good players (hint top Germans and top skandis) told me sometimes you just gotta call and say nh if they got it.


Now fast forward to this final table. This villain wasn't eespecting icm or playing in line at all. I was on his left with the hue chip lead and he was still openig basically 80%. I 3bet really big and he called with a5o, the huge huge huge nit made a huge 3bet and he called with 98o etc

A few hands earlier he had bet twice on 9876 kind of board with KK when it was a clear check on the turn. I'm not saying he was bad, but he was playing very out of line and not foldingb much at all.

One other hand of note. He opens to 40,000 I 3bet QJo to 123,456. He calls oop

Flop qt2 we both check. Turn qt24 he bets, I call. River qt245 he bets I call and he has Ak which so ridiculous as obviously I'm not folding a pair that I played like this. So he was doing very very ambitious things and playing crazy.

This sounds super arrogant but I'm very good at quickly making a plan in say 1-2 seconds so as soon as I flopped a set I knew exactly how quickly o was goin g to call each street and how quickly/sizing I'd make river that could induce or get paid off kind of thing.

If there's a % of people who can jam here he is in that %. He was also betti flops and turns super wide so he can have hands like 92s, 52o etc here for sure, not sure if he jams them though.

Truly sick, ridiculous spot. But that's ok. I played great in this tournament but guys I seriously ran very, very well. I won 44 vs qq, aq v jj/kk and I definitely didn't run bad by having this kind of cooler. I made a lot of chips playing good but made a lot by running great at pre flop all ins.

I don't feel bad about it at all anymore. I'm on a great run after Vegas with near 100k upswing, just in time for Barca and WCOOP.

Going to play tonight and record my screen again with commentary. Unsure what I'm going to do with this footage, but doesn't cause any harm. Have a good one from Sunday with my 109r final, last 2 tables of s530, last 4 tables or so of Sunday 2nd chance and Europeans 215r ft.

Hmmm I don't think we should always raise the river, in that particular situation and two shorter stacks I'm leaning a decent amount towards a call, but if we do raise we got to find the fold as sick as it is
