almost every successful person in any field is driven by something that can be broken down and described as unhealthy or as you so eloquently put it 'pretty bad'. To be utterly focused on being the best at something requires a commitment, persistence and tunnel vision that has to derive from a primal instinct or need. These can and do include anger, fear, greed, insecurity, the need for approval, love, sex, revenge, power or many other things.
This thread is interesting because the OP is driven to be great and is also highly analytical, self aware, honest and open enough to share his thoughts, feelings and motivation.
I know you're not being overly harsh and I also agree it's the interwebz so it's all fair game, but too much of that kind of preaching and criticism will turn this into a bog standard hand history thread and there's a mirrion others of those
