hey guys, moving country and looking to buy a full new set up. looking for recomendation for

1- 2-3 really good monitors that work really well together
2- 1 pc built with lots of ram and will work super fast etc
3- 1 really good chair

looking for high end for all three and looking for best quality. pc will only be used for poker but will need to be optimal for running sims too

i am the absolute worst and have always just used imac/macbook/apple monitors, but will use that as 2nd set up now.

Hey, I have the Herman Miller Embody chair and really love it. Don't think you can go too wrong with 2 or 3 of any 27 or 30 inch monitors 2560 x 1440 or 2560 x 1600. I personally have an HP 27 and an HP 30 that work really well.

Alright so last event of the trip/year was the €10,300 highroller. First bullet had pretty interesting spot. Very aggressive regular opens UTG I 3bet utg1, aggressive reg 4bets utg2, I peel.

Flop: 652fd (I have Q of the fd)

I check/call

Turn 652Kfd

I c/f for 1.1 spr jam.

Pretty ugly spot but I have KK/AK/AA/KQss so should be more than enough to call.

I come back from dinner and very first hand get in QQ vs 99 and unfortunately my opponent hits 9 on the river and it's time for bullet two.

Bullet two is really interesting table, some very good regs and a bunch of regs leaking in lots of areas. Think I played very good on this table winning a lot of NSD and value betting pretty thinly to finish the day with 160k coming back to 2kbb

Day 2 table I can't actually remember so well, I remember after 3 levels or so everybody who started there had busted except for me. I had grinded up from. 160-250 and with around 80 left (55 pay) play a really big pot.

I open UTG to 15k at 6k BB with T9cc reg flats mp, co and btn flat.

I cbet 35k on Q87ccx mp reg makes it 94k and I sigh jam 250k he snaps me off with AcQx which I think is a pretty poor get in when my jamming range here is probably T9cc, 87s, 88, 77, KK/Aa (reluctantly) and nut flush draws (that he blocks) perhaps he was raising so I fold my AA/KK/AQ and guys behind fold their flush draws etc but he's going to get it in pretty bad. Even against my hand here he has less than 50%, vs my range I doubt he will be close to 40%. Kind of sucked for me because i didn't necessarily want to play such a huge pot with Icm implications already a concern and lots of regs butchering close to the bubble I already had more than average stack. Thankfully I had a straight by the river and a really nice stack on the bubble.

My bubble was somewhat uneventful, I think I adjusted pretty well with Firaldo and Ari On my direct left, although when I folded T9ss in mp and saw the Js7s8h board I wished I'd played looser than optimal. We get to the pure bubble and a really sick spot. Ike has 1.5bb, Felix 2bb and another guy 2bb. Will Kassouf opens off 35bb UTG into my button (covering) and Firaldo bb (massively covering) Sergio Aido jams the cut off for 10.7bbs and I have jacks and 50bbs. Obviously I will play my entire continuing range as call/fold , call/call and will never get exploited because Sergio range is so tight however I didn't think it was a snap call. I think HRC would suggest KK+ or AA and regs might widen it to AK/QQ. I decided to just fold but it's super close lol

The bubble broke, I won a few hands and then weak guy opens, I 3bet co with KK and happily get it in vs Michael Addamo when he 4bets the BB. He has AK which is abit of A cooler for such a huge pot and in reality whoever wins this flip with 35 left is probably favourite to win the tournament. The field was really, really soft left and the table we were on specifically was amazing. I was dead by the turn. I think I took it ok.

I was short and then busted defending bb with t7 and getting it in on j78 vs AJ.

Really happy to have another run in one of these high rollers and thoroughly enjoy these.

Review of the trip..

First 10k highroller - finish day 1 with good stack, lose AA v 99 in day 2 aip for big stack

50k highroller - finish day 1 top 3 stack, bust 20th, t9cc on 872cc vs a8 for big pot vs Leon

Main event - finish day 1 with great stack, make day 3 and itm but bust somewhat unspectacularly 77 vs QQ

Second 10k, finish day 1 with very good stack, make money with 2x average and lose huge pot KK vs AK aip.

I decided not to play the 10k bounty or 5k turbos/hypers and missed the eureka 1k and 2k. Really happy with play overall on the trip, lots of good spots I put myself into and happy that now I'm leaving the live tournament circuit I can feel like I greatly improved in 2016 in regards to live tournament adjustments with a bunch of good runs highlighted mainly with deep runs in recent highrollers including Barca 10k for $200k or so.

Has been a good year online winning a bracelet in WCOOP and 4th in one of the biggest warm ups of the year aswell as winning a pokerfest and managing to be top 10 in the world and number 1 in the UK on pocket fives for most of the year.

Staking has gone extremely well. I think we finish the year in most people's minds as the best stable and hopefully this is undisputed this time next year.

Lastly the whole Party Poker agreement has been a pleasure. I'm open to it continuing and trying to make sure Party do everything in their power to compete and eventually overtake PokerStars.

I've never been looking forward to a new year as I am this year. Really exciting times moving to a new country, hopefully opening more poker and career goals. Big personal expectations. regarding poker and big company expectations regarding bitB.

Goals and plans for 2017

- use piosolver as efficiently as possible and build new game plans more superior than opponents
- play average 2x week tournaments online
- play full schedule during scoop/WCOOP
- play live cash games 1x week
- increase stable numbers to 130 players
- invest in 2 start up companies
- have at least 50% of my money "invested"
- read 50 books
- achieve peak personal fitness
- be the best friend/bf/son possible
- learn to drive
- go to Vegas for maximum 3 weeks
- go to Barcelona

decent Sunday. 4th in $109 on Starsm 5th in $600 on 888, 8th in $500 on Party all for decent amounts and then 2nd in the Sonic for $18k.

Driving to London in 4 hours! No internet till January 10th, which is pretty ridiculous, apparently "open reach" or something needs to come and install something and thats the quickest time?

I would suggesting trying to not exploit me/play your range, I will likely make more mistakes that way anyway. As apotheosis said reguarly, "don't try magic"

GL in London, where are you gonna play live cash? I'm guessing you'd only play 5/10+ so Palm Beach? I'm playing a lot at Empire/Hippodrome so maybe see you around.

oh yeah, that's actually true, can't make them large enough if you play few tables

@pads: could you actually bring this to partypokers attention?
Increase size options for bigger resolutions

Half settled in to the new house. Van is driving from Budapest overnight tomorrow with all our stuff, house still a little empty. Have had no tv/internet, but managed to buy a 4g hotspot (shout out Ed G for recommendation )

Today woke up 7am, had breakfast at home, huge walk around Bushy park with gf/dog. Park really is something else, lots of deer and wildlife, pretty epic. Went for Sunday lunch at The Three Kings which is cosy + good food. Loaded some tables up but set up is still in Hungary and was tired from being up early. Regged until 7ish instead of 12ish like normal and got a 3rd in 82 6max and 2nd in 320 6max for around 7.5k, so good start to the year.

Wrote an end of year review and will post tomorrow at some point.

Happy New Year all.

Did you hire a professional company to do this or just someone you know? Surely costs a bomb to hire someone to drive half way across Europe and get a ferry over the English channel.
