Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

I remember months ago some people bought action in my $10k heads up but have no memory who it was (99% sure they didn't send) selling 50% at 1.05, no markup if somebody takes it all. Was very good field last year http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/event.php?a=r&n=287331

In Vegas now. Second video coming up tomorrow.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Haven't updated for a while. Vegas has been going pretty well, will try to go in some kind of chronological order.

WSOP $1500

Bust KK v AA. Field absolutely amazing, assume ROI's in this are 150%+ crazy how good they are.

Friend actually came 3rd (imluckbox) and went for a nice dinner afterwards to celebrate.

WSOP $10,000 Heads Up

Lost vs LuckyChewy. Pre game I made selected 3bet ranges which meant I would be 3betting around 19% we played a long match and I didn't have 1 combo that was a 3bet hand. Obviously that meant I was card dead and didn't have the top of my range often, but also didn't have the other stuff that I would 3bet too. Pretty weird for that to happen in a full match, but wte.

Bust out hand was pretty interesting.

He raises button to 4200 at 2k bb, I defend KTo
Flop 873r, check check
Turn 8736 rainbow, I lead 5k, he calls.
River 8736K I lead 17k he shoves 75k.

I think not blocking a 9 is good, blocking king is good, blocking ten is good, he actually shoved a hand for value that I really didn't expect that he would in game (87) but it was a fun match and think I played pretty good so very happy to have taken a shot there for sure.

$1500 Millionaire Maker

Finished day 1 with 92k today, back on Sunday for day 2. Think played pretty good.

Last 3-4 days I've been grinding some pretty high cash games, mostly at the Bellagio. The 25/50 games play pretty deep, everybody with between 10-20k and a couple of special people with 100k I've had some pretty good results in these games over the small sample of sessions I've played but definitely looking to continue putting volume in these games.

Generally very satisfied with my live game, been here a week, won a bunch playing cash games and hopefully have a deep run in one of the first tournaments I've regged.

England vs Russia tomorrow, so definitely taking the day off.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

What are the down sides to check calling rvr for say a 10K bet by him, if that would be a reasonable sizing by Chewy there into a pot of roughly 18,400 in the 10K HU final hand, Pads? I understand you don't have him shoving the river with that range, but he also opened and then checked back to only call your lead on the turn, but then suddenly wants to jam?? just interested in what your thoughts are on the hand here beyond just what did happen but other actions that could have taken place, or if this is just simple HU play here (not that it ever is, but you are obviously a lot better and might care to acknowledge what you are thinking he is thinking here with his line).

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

I mean lead river is so very obviously the better play
The thing about his jam is that you will have every combo of straight set and two pair ever and people generally don't bluff like that. Sure one might say he s luckychewy he s balanced but, his line is extremely consistent with some very nutted hands and so full of hands that instead of jamming can find a flick in bc u have a ridic number of plausible bluffs into what is looking like a capped range. Ppl don't "cap" themselves and then go bluffing on factual bricks

Really interesting spot for sure.
We're talking about an elite player, balanced, wich he's def capable of jamming/bluffing river with a hand like 75,T7,96 etc. and put you in a ****ty spot. (As well w/ sets or better, when he decided to get tricky otf)
In a vacuum, I do agree with leading river is better, but inclined not to do so vs good/elite players.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Seems pretty clear that we don't have to bet/call the bottom of our river range unless we think villain is getting way out of line often.

Leading river is also clearly good. We have loads of perceived bluffs and should get heroed often by worse.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

I would rather call KT than a lot of better hands. I assumed his value jamming range otr was going to look like 66/kx two pair and t9. Kt great hand to
Block.

One very fun hand from Bellagio ill post about later...

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

And KT is not the bottom of my value range anyway. I think every 8x is a clear value bet and a7 and maybe even q7 too. A bunch of the two pairs that are suited are in 3bet range, 77/88 too, T9s aswell

Most interesting part of the hand is he checked 87 otf..

I wanted to post about that earlier (the part where he checks otf)..why do you think this would balance him out so much or is it just something he does all the time with strength where he feels you might bet a later street? Does he really think you could be betting the turn often here?

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

So hand from Bellagio.

10/20/40, most people got around 10k, few people with a lot more.

Reg opens to 120 mp, I flat mp, sb flats, 40 makes it 705, reg folds, I call, sb calls.

Flop Q87r

he cbets 1200, i make it 2900, he makes it 6800 (from 8k) i shrug and go all in, he folds AQ. Found out where he was I guess.

Played with some interesting characters at 25/50 yesterday. Eric Lindgren, Paul Newey, few others.

On break of the Millionaire Maker I went to Palms with Jack. On the way back, the lights were red, there were no cars in sight at all, we walked about 2 metres diagonally and police officer pulled us and gave us tickets for jay walking. Was most absurd thing I ever saw, we didn't just walk through the middle of the street, we were literally 2 metres or less on the road and were walking into the crossing rather than just straight across the road. Apparently fines are up to $400?! Anyway, he was just there basically getting every poker player, he must have gotten over 20 from just the time we were there, just incredibly poor form and a warning would have more than sufficed.
