Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

It's actually funny just how frequently it will be 77/T8/85 on the turn. Think those hands make up 90% of his turn raising range and considering some straights check fold river, others (with bdfd especially ) xr flop we re left with 3 value hands 100% of the time that beat us and 2 that always jam and both are blocked and discounted 30 that often play this way till river but then check fold some. Simply by that tho I think we prob have to call considering th8x prob just rips it in. This is mtts and people do overvalue hands

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

we are beating JT/QT/Q9/J9/T9 hh tbh but his turn sizing looks like made hand that wants protection so is very hard spot
i think is very hard (impossible) to fold in game while multitabling

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

As I said many of those have much reason to simply double call vs our sizing. I listed the most frequent hands taking that line the majority of the time. People are real big nits. Think I usually snap before it hits me that I don't beat much

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

@lissi , i think his turn continuing range is very similar no matter what sizing we make it, if he is using raising range ott the bigger we go the more expensive its going to be. River SPR doesn't seem to be an issue because always going to be way more than 1. In general as long as it doesn't hurt parts of my range in general in MTT's I think its fine to size down a little bit.

Regarding river interesting only person who thinks fold is goatekkel. I think vs my turn size he could raise hands like qj/qt/jt that doesn't want to c/c ott.

Pads was in the cutoff position in the first hand in question, I would not think 42s is in his flatting range there.

With regards to the second hand in question, pads' shove occurred preflop, not on the river, and this was a Progressive Knockout tourney, which adds EV to his shove.

The hand you posted has nothing to do with how pads played his rivered set with the 88, not really sure where you are trying to direct your posts to, or we're all being trolled...

Have you played with him? I would be extremely surprised if he raises those hands tbh, he's super nitty postflop (and in general).

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

I mean if he raises the top of his range, when we have this particular hand its better for us to be betting smaller. RE: QJ etc I think even more so because he's so tight he will be more inclined to continue with those hands vs smaller sizings.

I have very mixed turn strategies with different parts of my range, sometimes I'll bet 10% pot, sometimes 30%, sometimes 50%, sometimes 70%, sometimes 100%, sometimes 120% never ever ever 1000% again I think that I'm definitely not just mashing half pot button whenever I'm barreling

Regarding that boom: How do people find this stuff, but yes in Bounty Builders its correct to go with atc vs some bounties.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Made day 2 of the SCOOP Thrill, 130/181, 180 people get paid. Had planned to take a day off tomorrow, but guess will play a session now. 3 full huge, massive, days of poker starts tomorrow then, really looking forward to it!

BTW, question that you guys can maybe help with, I'm a little too busy to go to the gym sometimes, but on my break I'm doing 5 minutes of exercises, floor/mat exercises, dumb-bells etc, how much better is 1 hour of gym work all at once vs 5 minutes every hour for 6-7 hours. Is there any benefits of doing the latter?

One depressing thing right now is that I'm doing awfully on fifa, seriously, no matter which team I am, what tactics I use etc etc, I just can't seem to win. I am thinking about trying to get top 50 in the world next year as pretty big challenge, but not sure if theres enough time in the day to do everything

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

I would guess 5 mins is vastly inferior because there's no prolonged raising of the heartrate, + you obviously can't get warmed up in that time to do really good strength work. It can't be bad to do body weight stuff though.

RE; Fifa, not suprised having seem your England team on Twitter! Rooney Dier cm 2?! and Barkley also shouldn't be anywhere near the starting line up imo until he develops a brain and or delli Ali evaporates

Hardly an expert opinion here but I'd say whilst overall physiological development isn't going to be impacted by 5 mins/hour workouts, they'd be perfect for keeping your blood flowing and mental alertness the sharpest throughout a session. That's a great idea - I might even incorporate it into my rare MTT sessions. It can only be smarter than taking a slash and checking FB every break!

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Pretty interesting day today 😂 Yesterday at thrill table I had 120k and gusma 15k he spoke about how he wished he had this stack and I said wishes come true. 3 hours later he has 120k and I have 15k 😂

Anyway, we agree to swap 5% of his cash for 5% of my main event.

Wake up today, have a good early start, go to vegetable shop, have nice walk outside, enjoy the sun. Come back in time to play the 2k cubed and day 2 of the thrill.

I end up busting 2 bullets there, so before day 2 has started (remember I was going to take today off) I'm already down 5k+ lol, first orbit in the thrill I get TT v 55 v Ak where I cover both and both had bounties obviously so as long as both don't improve then I make $ get the K7684 board and we hit the showers. Was a pretty nice pot and obv 2k in bounties is good, but far from being close to winning the tournament or whatever, min cashed + bounties, whatever, would still have been cheaper to just last night.

Decide to go honeybadger mode on Fifa, set up a custom system, decided to be England, won 4 leagues in a row and undefeated, pretty ****ing pumped about that haha.

Friend asked for stars so logged on and Gusma was 5/6 in the thrill with 50k or so locked up.

Guess we're about break even.

Back tomorrow.

Hiya, found my way somewhere. Actually very interesting news that you actually can get great results from brief intense excercise.

Quote:
AIMS:

We investigated whether sprint interval training (SIT) was a time-efficient exercise strategy to improve insulin sensitivity and other indices of cardiometabolic health to the same extent as traditional moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT). SIT involved 1 minute of intense exercise within a 10-minute time commitment, whereas MICT involved 50 minutes of continuous exercise per session.

METHODS:

Sedentary men (27±8y; BMI = 26±6kg/m2) performed three weekly sessions of SIT (n = 9) or MICT (n = 10) for 12 weeks or served as non-training controls (n = 6). SIT involved 3x20-second 'all-out' cycle sprints (~500W) interspersed with 2 minutes of cycling at 50W, whereas MICT involved 45 minutes of continuous cycling at ~70% maximal heart rate (~110W). Both protocols involved a 2-minute warm-up and 3-minute cool-down at 50W.

RESULTS:

Peak oxygen uptake increased after training by 19% in both groups (SIT: 32±7 to 38±8; MICT: 34±6 to 40±8ml/kg/min; p<0.001 for both). Insulin sensitivity index (CSI), determined by intravenous glucose tolerance tests performed before and 72 hours after training, increased similarly after SIT (4.9±2.5 to 7.5±4.7, p = 0.002) and MICT (5.0±3.3 to 6.7±5.0 x 10-4 min-1 [μU/mL]-1, p = 0.013) (p<0.05). Skeletal muscle mitochondrial content also increased similarly after SIT and MICT, as primarily reflected by the maximal activity of citrate synthase (CS; P<0.001). The corresponding changes in the control group were small for VO2peak (p = 0.99), CSI (p = 0.63) and CS (p = 0.97).

CONCLUSIONS:

Twelve weeks of brief intense interval exercise improved indices of cardiometabolic health to the same extent as traditional endurance training in sedentary men, despite a five-fold lower exercise volume and time commitment.

Re: Pads1161 #bracelethunting

Interesting night of grinding, got a 4th in Party Highroller Turbo for $5k? And then basically just played all the $2k HU one tabling and speaking/sweating Elmerixx.

Managed to win all 4 of my games including the final game vs Nick Petrangelo (end boss and somebodies game I super respect) which I was really happy about.

Tomorrow theres 16 left and we play down to a winner (its all heads up) guaranteed $7200 and $110k for first. Field left is obviously really really tough, but thats fine will give it my all!

One bad thing is that it starts slap bang in the middle of the biggest Sunday in history lol. Starts at 8pm, at 8pm we have

Party $5200
Party $2600
Party $1050
888 $1050
Stars $2100
Stars $1000
Stars $1000
Stars $10,000
.FR $2200

Pretty sick, not sure exactly what I'll do, I guess I'll cut down on tables and register stuff afterwards, probably try to play 6 tables including the heads up. The structures everywhere are so amazing that late registering is completely OK. If I bust the HU unluckily though I don't want to have a bunch of tables up and making emotional decisions, so I'll simply not register till the break then meditate a little bit and regroup and reregister. If I win the HU game quickly (luxury problem) will have to remind myself to not register for stuff and avoid the temptation.

Anyway, time for a good sleep now, big day tomorrow, big lunch, big gym session, big spa session and be ready for 8pm to rock and roll.

Good luck everybody taking shots tomorrow, lets run gooooooooooooooood.

jesus, had the best opponent in the tournament for sure, he decided to play lots of other tables as well and he played 38% vpip, got all the money in on QT4 with QT vs KK and he gets the QT49J run out.

Nevermind, very happy that I prepared super well and only had 2 tables open, I think I win that match over 75% of the time, we had a great great spot, but never mind. Lots more to play today.

Good luck with your goals

However, I did watch that 88 rivered set hand on Doug Polk's stream, and have to say that the overbet shove for 11 times pot was absolutely atrocious. Never gets called by worse. Just make a normal sized overbet, it gets the job done just as easily and might actually get a call from some worse hands (which would never call for an 11 times pot jam and their tournament life). Fold to a re-raise of course, because he's never bluffing if he re-raises your overbet.
