Made day 2 of the $5k 6max with 70k going into 1200bb. Was chip leader for bunch of day but was 0/5'in all in pres in the tournament so really happy with bagging good stack.

Lots of cool hands to report. Will do once I bust

Ok so $5k 6max day 1

Started ok table with Nacho Barbero (very nice guy) Noah Schwartz (very rich and tells everybody about it a lot) and it started pretty good. I think I won every 20 hands I played but was down to 23 from my 25 starting stack. You may think huh? But the way binder winning poker hands now is making the best decision and making better decisions to my opponents.

First hand of any note is at 50/100

Nacho completes and bets bets bets bvb vs me on aj65a with j2 which was almost surely too thin.

First big hand of note is me opening cut off to 600 (3x) at 100/200 and Nick Schulman making it 1700 in the big blind.

I call and he triples 98426ssddx all in on he river for 165bbs with AA I think it's probably going to be too thin. I get to the river with

T7s (all combos)
99 (all combos)
88 (all combos)
44 (all combos)
98s (all combos)
84s (all combos)
75ss (dd/ss)
98o (1/4 combos)

That beat him.

My potential bluff catching range is something like

TT
JJ
QQ
KK
J9s
T9s
Q9s
K9s

I likely fold all 8x ott, may even fold 9x at some rate too. Let's keep them in now.

Out of that range, theoretically, TT, JJ won't be particularly great bluffcatchers. Qq/Kk likely bet when checked too on this run out and my 9x are very likely folding.

He shoved and I called with T7. Maybe looks like I was very lucky but I really doubt his river bet will be profitable. I think he's an awesome player, seems like a great guy and not calling him out or anything just think it's an interesting hand that may look standard with the board texture but I think checking this and probably entire range would be better play. What do you guys think?

I build and build and build and win 50+% of pots for 3-4 hours (actual pots not galfond bucks )

I get in for a big pot just before dinner with AK v TT and KJ for 130k total at 500bb but KJ wins.

Rest of the day was pretty interesting. Lots of just grinding and pretty interesting pots.

I played a very very interesting hand with Fedor. We're pretty good friends and he knows I respect him a lot. I haven't done anything of note at all vs him and avoided pots as table is hilariously soft. Actually one fun lot first.

Button opens 1500, I make it 4500 sb, bb taaaaank cold calls. Flop j52hdd I bet 2100 and he folds a4hh face up haha

Anyway, I open cut off and Fedor defends sb. (1500 at 600bb)

Flop A75dd

He check calls 1300

Turn A756xddd

He check calls 4600

River A7568dddd

He check folds 5600

Think river is very interesting. It's the bottom of my value bet range ott, thus at the river I'm at the bottom of my range. I have no natural bluffs here at all really, almost all my barreling range here is 9x or high diamonds (made flushes and straights aswell) and then aq/ak. He's going to have all sets, some straights, two pairs etc. I bet and he folds aces, so that was fortunate/cool.

I lose 4 more all ins in the day but end with 69k. Shoutout to protential. He played really solid and seemed to avoid playing big pots against good players and focused on maximizing vs the fish. No ego, very impressive that

Day 2 I had a pretty ok starting table.

First hand of note i build up to 100k no showdown. I 3bet vs fish, 3k-8k and reg jams 28k and I gotta call AQs and lose to AA. I build back up again, one pretty interesting hand

I open off 75k to 3600, reg on button 3bets to 9600 I peel Red aces.

Flop j83ssx I check call 7600

Turn j834xsss I check he checks

River j834T I check again and he checks.

I think being is pretty good, checking sometimes is ok too though.

Lost another all in and then played an interesting one.

Reg opens and bets bets bets 97659 1/3, 4/5, 1/6 I decide to jam this combo. Would you guys rather jam 65o or t9?

Play probably the most crazy hand in my life just after. Splashy reg opens hijac, huge nit flats cut off I jam 22bbs from button and it folds to the nit. He doesn't seem to like it. He's def snap folding AJ and kqs etc. I assume he has 88 but with dead money I want him to fold. I tell him if he shows and k show and he has be dominated (3 outs of less) I give him 300$ out of my pocket. He sighs, folds and shows AKcc. I pay that man his money.

1 hand later same reg opens, he flats button I jam sb and give him the Same deal when I had 99, he fodls AQs!!

Anyway, lose AJ vs KT aip for 75k but I'm still ok with around 70k when I move table with a few friends.

Play one interesting hand. Friend opens, I call ATs. We go four way with button and the bb. Flop 772 I bet 10k into 20 and bb c/min raises to 22k. Pretty frustrating but I let it go 😂😂

Next hand I open hijac, kuul jams button for 22bbs I call ATo and lose to four flush KQ after flopping an ace.

Finally down to 15bbs I jam my 22 from cut off, get called from button and bb. And they out more chips in post flop and I lose to AJ on ace high board.

I had such great fun all the way through the days, not tilted at all. I lost all 11 all ins pre flop but that makes me happy that I'm playing great and building stacks and making the right patient plays.

Football tonight. 10k 6max tomorrow. Let's ****ing go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I pretty much just skimmed that last post but my initial reaction is that it's unethical to affect the game by offering money like you did. I'm willing to be convinced otherwise though and enjoy the write ups.

Yea i also think ofering money and affecting game like that should be penalized, and i mean how big edge/roi you have giving 600 like that

About that shove i think T9 thin value shove/merge bluf(bloking some 8xcombs) is kinda better shive then 65

$10k 6max

Day 1

First table was me, Firaldo, Simon deadman, Belgium guy and probably the two biggest whales in the whole tournament.

3rd hand Simon opens to 1000 UTG, btn flats, I have black kings and go 3500 from sb. Both call.

Board 85336dddxx

I check flop, bet 8.6k ott, Simon calls, and I bet/fold 16200 on the river. Pretty interesting spot I assumed he would bet flushes and sets very often on the flop but I guess not this time. Was a bad one to lose.

Build up and chop down and build up and chip down. One hand I was pretty lucky was 3betting vs the fish and c/shoving kt2 with qj (he had suoer high bet when checked to) and winning vs k8 and one unlucky one was losing KThh to k6dd on QJ4Qhhdd6x vs Firaldo for biggish pot.

Was so many absurd pots but in general was pretty happy with how I played.

Moved tables to Fabian Quoss, Galen Hall, Dragonwarrior and two big fish. Couple interesting hands.

I open 86ss on button, Galen flats sb.

Board T745K ccxcx

I bet flop, check turn and bet small on the river to induce and he raises huge with 33. I think getting 3 streets is relatively thin when a lot of his flatting range pre flop is Broadway's, pairs and suited stuff. If he has a set he c/r a lot of rivers, if he has suited stuff he either folds turn or has me dead and j think he folds Broadway's otf. I don't think I need much protection here, especially when I block 88/66.

That let me up to pretty big stack with 5 hands left in the night, was super pumped to bag around 140k after being down to 10k earlier in the day.

Dragon warrior opens cut off I defend bb with A6hh.

Board J62A6

He bets flop, checks back turn. I bet 110% on the river and he raises :/// I doubt I can fold here, I mean I potentially could, but feels gross. In hindsight I'd fold, mate. That sounds results orientated idk. But he had JJ and I end the day with 65k which was a little demoralizing.

Day 2

My table was Brandon Steven, Dario Sammaratino, Chris Ferguson, Tim Adams.

The day was pretty crazy. After 4 hours we were on the bubble. I assumed it would take 30-40 minutes because it is a big buy in, but there were a lot of short stacks. It actually took over 3 and a half hours!

I was very happy with how I played. I managed to get to over 340k at 10kbb.

I limp bvb, Brandon raises 3x I call.

Board 97322

Flop checks through, I c/call flop and c/shove river. He plays very low Cbet % and bets thinly in turns and rivers and has very low fold to raise post flop. Was super standard and huge cooler. Was pretty sure he was calling any 7 on the river but unfortunately he had two of them.

Looking at end of day counts was a little sad as this tournament really felt like it was the one I would break through and get a huge result in.

No problem a though, I started he week with preparing super hard and said in my last blog I would skip other tournaments to really focus on these two high stakes 6nax tournaments where I feel like I have as big of an edge as anybody else in the field and in the end I close to bubbled the 5k and managed a deep run in the $10k. Can't complain, just gotta keep putting myself in spots to do well.

Not sure if I'll play the monster stack today, thinkng of just chilling and resting. There's a $5k next week I'm looking forward to. A little bit over the 1500s at the moment. Will likely go back to the cash game and see how that goes.

Ferguson played pretty different to how you would imagine actually.

he opened A7o in MP, he 3bet button vs hijack and double barrelled 9885ssxx as a bluff. He cbet and bet twice on 288j with a2. He played kinda funky, seemed like he didn't really know ranges that well.

He kept himself very quiet, had a very big rail with friends and family though.
