I have to echo the thoughts that Elliot Roe's approach to mindset issues is incredible. I love his podcast and have begun implementing his advice pre, post and during my sessions. Tilt is perhaps the least significant of problems for pros/semi-pros to deal with but the one they tend to focus on the most. There are so many other factors we tend to neglect that have a large impact on our state of mind, consciousness and confidence levels. Loving the thread so far pads. Keep it up mate!

Previously on series I was always "we have to lay every day, these punters who take days off are weak and have terrible motivation" etc etc. With my football teams i kept up my commitments as it was important to me that I show the team that I will make sacrifices for them etc.

It's the best thing that could possible happen though. Taking a full day off where your mind is 100% off poker and all the stress etc is gone is so crucial. In the future I absutdly will be approaching the series with the mindset of it doesn't matter if I miss a day or so. It really helps make sure you don't burn out too and also it really makes you appreciate the time you are on the tables rather than it feeling like a grind. We should be enjoying these 3 weeks of the year not feeling like it's a "grind"

Obviously it's easy to say this with the scores I've had and I une'er stand the guys who started poorly running bad that they want to make up for that ev. But just in general I now have realized more than ever that it's so crucial you have some form of passion/release/min relief outside of poker, even during these very intense time.

- first AA u said u have notes that guy c/r second pair on flop but u dont know how he continues on turns?? hmm doesnt makes sense to me ... how u know what he is ch/r flop with if hand didnt go to showdown??? if it those hands go to showdown u should know how he plays turns when he is ch/r flops with second pair

- hand #2 85s i think Cbeting is better then ch on flop and evaluate, cos u can protect your eq u have second pair with backdor flush/str8, imo there r lot of bad turns that u need to be hero calling and puting yourself in bad spot etc and its not like u r geting ch/r on that flop often, i prefer ch if u had at least one overcard smth like A8,K8,Q8,J8

AA- this is very dynamic turn and this villain has mixed turn strategy after he check raises, it basically is dependent on how he feels like at the time, i wasn't able to make a great read on this, so decided going for the conservative option ott.

85, what hands are you check back the flop with if you bet 85? because we have back door draws is a good reason to check not bet

seems an ok board to bet fullrange or at least a v big part of your range

about 85 hand agree that reason + to ch back is backdoor eq BUT i think our hand is very vulnerable (we dont have any over card) and if villain is agro and putting presure we are like always heroing and most often then not end up folding best hand,
imo the board is like that that it favors/hits your range same as it hits his pasive def range so you r not geting ch/r a ton there, and when u Cbet u r keeping initiative and protecting your eq etc
for ex i think better hand to ch behind is smth like Q8 cos u have overcard that is blocking str8 and if he has Qsmth and hit that on turn u r getting 2 street value bets T/R or smth like KK/AA if u r like ever ch them in that spot to start with
tbh in that spot with those stacks i dont have much of ch/behind range if i dont have read that villain is c/r a ton and is crazy agro

To be 100% honest I didn't even care when you cbet A7o multiway on TT6 sandwich and then ended up valuejamming against a defending range that always traps. I admit it might have bothered me a little. But not as much as you 3betting AJ and bet bet/calling turn with Acehigh instead of just checkcalling at literally any point earlier that hand. literally, any, point.

It's just really not the kind of stuff that interests me. What did interest me tho was the orange juice.
