Hey 2+2, I'm basically 24 y/o and am living downtown Montreal right now.

I'm trying to narrow down what I want in general, and a 'god-like' status/body is actually motivating me right now lol. So let's ride that train until it can't go any further

I slacked off completely this summer and played some nl100z with some mtts on the side. Nothing concrete.

I got a membership at a nearby gym so workouts are going well. Should've given my legs a couple more days to rest

I just got back from dreamhack where Neeb 4-0 Snute lol. A 4-3 would have been legendary, but I was standing up the whole time... I also ended early enough Friday to make it to the TLO vs Has match haha. I'm so lucky that that was my first live SC2 match For anyone who didn't see, Has expanded to gold minerals on the first map and only made charge zealots (11:30 in and only charge zealots xD). Second map was mass oracles and he ended up 2-0 TLO.
Tip to other noobs: the corsair keyboards will sell out. I want the rapidfire and now I have to order it -_- Maybe I'll end up buying whatever Neeb was using


My initial $2.4k BR on stars is now at $5.1k with the work that I put in with the 180-man icm and a few mtts on the side.



But $10k months seem like the max for those games, and gods can't do whatever they want with just $10k/month. So mtts will probably be my game for now. 6m hypers would be the most fun to play. Maybe party poker will somehow revive them enough for me to want to put in the study hours

So far since the 28th (off a few $100 because of the $3.50+R 180s).


My studying and in-game focus started to wander about 5 days ago. With my need for beer and deciding to play 4 tables on mobile while walking to the store to buy some, I've noticed that I have a problem. Other small thing to fix: sleep/energy.

So, once I've slept in enough and slowly slap myself in the face with enough delicious garlic-yuchoy dishes, Ill try to follow this (vague) schedule

8am - Wake-up + Workout + Meal
12pm - Meal
3pm - Snack
6pm - Meal
9pm - Snack
11pm - bed

I've been eating too much food near falling asleep, so that's been affecting my sleeping + morning workout + fat. Being able to stick to this schedule longterm without feeling resistance/boredom/stress from my body would be very nice to achieve

Day maker: I ordered the corsair rapidfire and thought it would arrive next week.

'What I want'

It's happened again with poker where I become motivated to focus hard in-game (think about every range of hands in most spots) for almost one month, and then I become bored of it (not insinuating that I was top-tier when focused). Leading to youtube/anime/facebook/etc being open on the second monitor for most of the session.

I've thought about why I'm playing poker before of course, but not enough, and in a one-dimensional way. Thinking about one thing in particular that I want and justifying poker as the means to reach that. Ie: promising myself that I would never have a 9-5 job again (lol), playing a game for a living, enjoying the atmosphere, I have fun problem-solving... the most recent being the 'becoming a god' I now have a notepad file where I've gathered my thoughts from the past week or so, and where I've been connecting the dots. Categorizing everything.

Lucky me, Fedor Holz said the word "Ikigai" in his recent vlog It helped to have a visual on what I was building towards.



A few more days later, remembering how I genuinely felt when saying/implementing specific reasonings, and poker appears to be my answer I'm not feeling that forced motivation right now to focus at the tables, and I've been putting in 9-12 hour sessions lately. So I'm excited to see my progress in the short term!


October 20th-28th goals

I won't set any poker related goals just yet since I'm only a few days into this new motivation.

(1) Cook a challenging dish
*Cooking is a passion on mine and I'm visiting family tomorrow, so that will be easy.

(2) Workout every day
(2.5) Max 1400 calories intake (excluding post-workout meal)
*It's time to become sexy

(3) Clean the apartment
*Floors, counters, corners...

You ever consider playing any of the WPT's @ playground they have decent live events mostly all year round

Damn, you can play at Playground, lucky guy.

Of course! I used to tell myself every season that I'll work hard enough and have the BR to play them next season xD (playground has a festival with a few 2k-5k mtt every 1/4 season). Another one of my "motivations".

I've only played one random 1.1kCAD that I was lucky enough to cash. Back in the day when I didn't know how to play post-flop poker

I just checked the schedule and there's a 10.3kCAD high roller on the 13th 0_0 I think that's a first! I'll play it if anyone wants to stake me the whole way I'll take 10% split and no MU


That being said, I had to move down stakes since I couldn't quite crush the soft $55/$109 before the downswing hit me hard enough. But at least my results are stepping in the right direction



I'm still experimenting and figuring out a few things, so this will be somewhat of a spoiler I guess.

+EV-> I have yet to feel burned-out or bored of poker I might actually have the BR to play in the winter festival HA!
