Online staking platform Online staking platform

Hi guys, I am writing to you to get your input regarding staking as I'm creating a new online staking platform to connect backers with players, I'd highly appreciate your time and feedback, if you can please reply me with a private message so the first answers don't influence other answers.

Questions for backers:
How many times have you backed a player?
Did you ever experienced any problems with the poker player? (i.e. took the money and never heard from him again?, didn't respect the deal, transaction problems...or others)
Are you afraid to back players as you don't know if he'll respect the deal?
Do you easily find good players to back?
How do you find them? (online forum, word-of-mouth)
What was the average amount you invested?
What was the average amount you got back from the player?

Questions for poker players:
How many times have you been staked?
Do you easily find backers?
How do you find your backers? (online forum, word-of-mouth, other source)
Did you every experienced any problem with the backers?
What's the amount you normally look for? (pay-in fees of how much?)

Thanks so much in advance!
Anthony

I don't think you can PM yet...

Welcome to the forums!

It seems the randomizing "wheel of forums" you must've spun landed you in the wrong forum. You'd be looking for the staking forums in the Marketplace.

You won't be able to start a thread there, but you shouldn't be starting a thread for this anyway, as you'll find many of your answers can be found there. And this whole "PM me so you don't influence each other" idea really isn't the way forums work. Many of our members are pretty smart and confident enough in their opinions and knowledge that they are capable of posting what they actually believe. Sure, you might end up with a little bit of "groupthink", but I think that's outweighed by ideas building on one another, as well as answers that are posted being useful to all, as opposed to answers PMed to you helping no one else. And then of course there's the fact that you don't have PM privileges yet anyway.

You'll find some helpful stickies in the staking forums; have a look at those and other threads, and then if you still have questions, you're more than welcome to post them in one of the "staking questions" stickies. But I wouldn't recommend a 20 question survey like you started this thread with.

Finally, your opening sentence has me concerned - I'm kind of surprised that if you have an interest in and think you are ready to start such a venture, that you'd have such basic questions. What I'm worried about is that this is instead going to be an attempt to spam members and generate business for yourself - that kind of thing will get you bounced out of here in a hurry. Hopefully that's not what you're after.
