Just set aside $300 to start a new poker bankroll not huge but signifcant for me being a student. 50 is going on poker stars and 250 will be to play at home games and bar games. The goal I am setting is to have $1000 in my online account by June 1st, and atleast $1500 in my live roll by the same time. I will be playing micro stakes on stars and will provide graphs and would love and constructive critism anyone can provide. I will start my live roll off playing in home games with my buddies, even though these guys are twice as good as anyone you would play at the bar, the buyin is lower and theres less variance. I will be starting on pstars shortly, for a short session before I start studying. Post update later tonight.

played a 1000 hands or so of .01-.02 was down 17 bucks, played .1-.25 and back to $50 now, guess the bankroll mangement will have to start tomorrow haha

So yah busted that $50 last night tilting going up in stakes as is the usual for me. So staying away from the computer till saturday when I am starting a 180 man competition, so hopefully I run welll in those. Im thinking about going to the bar and playing friday night, a win there would be nice to get the $50 back I wasted.

Threw another $50 on pstars tonight, was down to thirty and decided to play some micro sng's was up to $75 when the sucks outs started, ended the night at $52 hahah Will be 10 tabling on stars all day tomorrow 2.2's

We are in pretty much the same situation, except i'm putting 200 online and taking 100 to play 1/2 live at the closest casino i can go to(2 hours away so not practical to go all the time). if I lose the 100, whatever I'll just have to grind 5NL, but if I win i'm just gonna add it to my online BR.

Also, careful with getting frustrated and playing out of your BR. Having done the exact same thing a number of times, it never ends well. Even if you win 1 session at the 25NL, you'll go back to 2NL, lose some and then think because you won at 25NL you can win again, and that's when you go busto

can someone take a look at this hand. my thought process was limp where its still early and call a raise, the reraise threw me for a loop. On the flop I thought I had to call so many hands he could be pushing with there. These are the words of my donkey brain, lets hear what you guys think

Everytime I get my chips in good, they hit, everytime. I dont want to bring up the R word but this didnt happen to me on cake poker, I guess im just running bad, im not used to anything like this though

you definitely shouldn't be limping that AQ hand, especially out of position. Just raise it 3.5x or 4x from UTG+1. If the action remains the same(get raised, a call, a 3-bet, and another call) I would just fold. This early in the sng we want to play pretty tight and not get it in with hands that could be dominated, also with limited reads so far we have a hard time putting the BTN and MP1 on a range. That's my thoughts at least, but I play more cash than sng's so maybe getting it in on that flop was ok. The one thing I know for sure is that you shouldn't be looking to limp call, this is just a bad play in general and is going to get you in all kinds of trouble.

Try to not pay much attention to the bad beats, just know that you got it in good and made the right play. You don't control the cards, most will go your way, but sometimes they don't.

lost the rest that I had online, so threw on $35 more, have that up to $70 killing the 3.40 6max sng. So current Bankroll- $235

good news on my end, just got back from playing at the casino and turned a $170 profit
