I've played poker since I was 18 with a number of breaks in between and each time I got to a level I thought I'd be able to make a really nice side income I either mentally ****ed myself or had to withdraw for other ventures. I've jumped back in and played around 8k hands at 10nlz and feel pretty great with my game. I'm not focused on moving up in stakes, just having fun being creative and playing to exploit people as much as possible. On Monday I start working full time for the first time in years and will be making a stable income and can enjoy poker fully, but I want to push myself!

So, here is the challenge:

One Month $1000 Profit At ONLY 10nlz

I have a vacation booked for 10 days in march so will add on the days so it's around 31 days playing.

Firstly, would love to know if anyone has done anything similar without moving up in stakes?
Secondly, where are people at in terms of if it is doable, prop bet odds (for funs) and any guesses on hands played/PnL?
I play 2-3 tables of zoom so around 600-900hands/hour
Seeing as I start work Monday that will be the first day and with my vacation Mar 7-18 I'd finish on Mar 30th

He's right bro. Trying to win 1k at 10nl is beyond pointless because of rake. You''d be much better served to move up as quickly as possible. You should be moving up aggressively to get out of micro stakes not staying there to grind 100 buy ins at 10nl.

I'm not looking to move up stakes though, I can beat 25nl and 50nl, but what I enjoy in poker is being imaginitive and it's easier to do so v weaker players and with less at stake. I'll probably learn a lot about playing in weird spots with this so it may well make me a better player for the long run.

Also, one month of grinding isn't much, I think a lot people try to move up aggressively, reach a level they can't beat and grind out at breakeven getting more and more frustrated.

I'm more interested in how big of a winrate is possible at 10nl over a larger sample. Any thoughts on what is possible?

For me I have struggled recently with my mental health. I haven't had a chance to be creative for a while and playing poker has really helped with that. So the challenge is partly to help with that, partly to see how much you can beat 10nl for.

Also I want to make money from poker not just keep trying to reach the highest level I can then breaking even for months on end. Long term yeah I will want to move back up stakes but I also want a bigger bankroll than the shot taking mentality I had before.

There is a pretty high chance it will fizzle out if I can't play enough hands but its something new I want to try

I would suggest putting a winrate goal, instead of only monetary. Not sure what is possible, but I tend to think 10 bb/100 is the maximum if you are the best reg there.

Even if I flop and don't get close to $1,000 I want to have fun doing it, that's where twitch comes in! Poker can be lonely and when you're having fun you want to share that!

I was 12 tabling 10nl Blitz recently. It was honestly so much fun being a little out of line at stakes that don't mean much.

So I've had a bit of a crazy run good day today in "preparation" for my goal....and was wondering if I can count it towards the month? :'D If so I'll count today as day one and finish a day earlier

If you played 10NL, why not? 31 days are 31 days.
