Just much of my 4bet bluffing range is going to contain an Ace or a King so on the rare occasions I'm here with suited connectors I'll need to barreling off or I'll be deprived of bluffs?

October

November so far

I've been spending a lot of my nights here in Hanoi performing stand-up comedy at open mics around the city. The unfortunate reality of doing stand-up is that going out to perform a 10-15 set will actually eat away 4 hours of my day when taking into account the transportation, waiting to go on stage and trying to network with people after the show. And it's a lot worse back in Bangkok, where I have to hand out flyers for two hours on the infamous Khao San Road to get the stage time, all unpaid.

So to try and work on my poker game and put in the hours on the tables on top of that is a really draining job, especially when I'm also trying to fit in going to the gym regularly, learning German, blogging and writing new material.

I've also got a bit of a sweat going because the woman at the Thai embassy was pretty skeptical when I applied for my 4th tourist Visa after seeing I already had three stamps in my Passport. She took my application form, passport and $40, so fingers crossed when I go back on Tuesday I've been given the green light. I am trying not to think about it much, but it will be a nightmare if I get rejected here because one of my friends from back home is flying into Bangkok later in the month to meet me. He's super excited about it so I don't want to ruin his mood by telling him he'll be visiting me in Vietnam instead

I'm a big fan of Hanoi. Would recommend here to anyone for a visit or a visa run. Much prettier city than Saigon and a much better creative expat scene. Egg coffee is the absolute business too.

Will let you guys know as soon as I find out if I can get on my flight to Chiang Mai on Thursday

Would love to hear stories any of you guys may have about not getting in/almost not getting into Thailand and what you did about it.

Cool thread man.

I think Thai immigration has been getting stricter as of late. Last year a woman at DMK eyeballed my passport pretty hard and asked to see my flight out before letting me in. Couldn't find my ticket on my phone so I was sweating, but my gf talked to them and I was good.

You should probably get a new passport if you've got a lot of stamps or visas. I have 9 or 10 entries since 2016. Got a new passport this year and they let me through without a second glance.

I got the visa approved. So that's the first battle over. I'm flying into Chiang Mai tomorrow who are known for being more chill than the Bangkok airports. Will let you know if I get in.

I got in!

Absolutely no problems whatsoever. The guy at border control didn't say a word as he gave my passport the stamp of approval.

My friend is coming to visit me on the 21st, so I wan't to put in 8+ hours into poker every day until then.

Settling back into Bangkok and month still going okay, although volume could be better.

My pal from Scotland is coming to visit me tomorrow, which is why I'm calling the month there. I'll be showing him around Bangkok for 5 days before heading up north to Chiang Mai and Pai for a week before returning for one last night in Bangkok on the second. It'll be full on grind time from the 3rd until the rest of the year.

This month I went 7 days straight with only eating food I bought from 7-Eleven. I finished up the challenge yesterday and I will make a blog post about the whole experience soon

Good luck for the rest of November and I'll be back to posting more poker content when I return to playing on December 3rd. Might pop in before then to post few snaps of us with the elephants or something

And eating only 7-Eleven was a lot harder than I thought it'd be. Not so much swallowing down their food, but resisting the food from everywhere else was a grind

Fwiw, haven't pio'd but I don't really see how you can call that a punt. Bb has more 2x which plays this way. Co likely has air or range which beats some thing's but wants to deny turn/river equity with hands like 88-jj if he as a 3b flop range.

You have very little 0 equity airballs by the river so you need to be betting some hands which have some SDV. The logic is there.
