I have made several other pg&c threads on here in the past few years. This one will almost certainly be my last.

My name's Craig, I'm from Scotland, but I have relocated to South East Asia.

My current base city is Bangkok, Thailand. I also spend a lot of time in Vietnam for visa reasons. Since moving here, I have been spending a lot of time performing stand-up comedy to tourists, backpackers and expats. It's been a lot of fun, but I want to get back into taking poker seriously as well.



Living in Asia for the last 9 months has definitely given me a new perspective on life. One of the best by-products of living here is that seeing a level of poverty that exists here, but not in the developed world makes you appreciate how lucky you are to have been born where you were a lot more.
And I now have a bigger drive to make the most of my opportunities than I've ever had.


I haven't taken poker really seriously in months, but I'm definitely ready to properly commit. I know I will eventually transition into a full-time stand up comic, but as of right now, poker seems like a smart choice for where to commit the rest of my time to.



Currently grinding 100z on stars, but I plan on moving up to 200z before 2020. Will start grinding some timbies on a Sunday, when my sleep schedule permits it.




I want to keep this thread mainly about my poker progress, but I'm happy to answer questions about living in Asia or getting into comedy too.

Hows life in Thailand? I assume your a white guy? I’m thinking about moving out there. I heard out there I can live like a king with 10k and beautiful girls will want me for my money and US citizenship. Playing poker is a glamourous lifestyle there unlike here where women think I’m a bum

Last I played 100z on Stars the pool was small. What's your opinion on the pool size?

Value bet recs thinner and over fold rivers vs nitty regs is a good rule of thumb.

Thailand is very nice. Great weather, great food, nice people and lots of opportunity to get into new things. I am white, but I am not really looking to have a relationship with a Thai girl, they're just not my type. Bangkok is the most expensive city in South east Asia fwiw. I paid like $320/month for a 1 bed studio in a nice area so it's definitely possible to live on $1k/month, but $1500-$2000 month budget is more realistic. I'm sure there definitely are lots of women that are into white guys with American passports.
