New month, new goals!

Succeeded goals:

Volume - only played 40k hands, but taking into consideration my week and a bit long break, we were on track to hit the hand goal. Won’t carry over to next month, playing volume is part of responsibility as professional and part of my deal. Think I’ll do just fine with it.

Gym - been getting back into it, on summer break rn so summer semester we will be back at it! Will carry over to next month, not quite having internalized the routine yet.

Study - tons of study this month, feels a part of my routine now. No need to carry over to next month, I’ll just keep doing it.

Failed goals:

Meditation - this one was hard for me, I keep forgetting. I did it a bit, but not as much as I set out to. Will carry over this goal.

Overall, month was not great, not horrible.

May goals:

Meditation - every day, will try setting myself reminders.

Body recomp - currently around 6ft 2 inches, 185lb. Have a bit of a gut rn, so going to implement a plan to get into great shape. Gym is only part of the solution!

Sleep - in this vein, earlier sleep is required to reap the benefits of gym more.

Diet - going to be in calorie deficit for May, going for 1k deficit per day. Might not last the whole month as it’s pretty hard on the body. But I have a good idea of how to do this properly. Additionally, going to be cutting out food after midnight. Not counting calories or anything like that, for the next 3 weeks if I’m a little hungry it’s fine. Will post before / after pics as well to track progress.

Gym - gym is gonna be really helpful here, especially considering I’m gonna be in deficit. Main focus is water, electrolytes, and protein.

In addition, obviously studying a bunch and grinding.

self accountability is paramount! good job!

breathing meditations can be done all day anywhere.. it becomes a habit.

and depending on the type of breathing, it can burn quite a bit of calories!

most calories are lost through the breathe! fun fact!

Have you tried rock climbing out? Great way to kill gym/workout goals. (And get dumb strong in the process)

I have, it’s enjoyable but flares up my shoulder quite a bit. Also am a little afraid of heights haha. Will finish a climb early if I’m too high up.

The fears was the attractive part, nothing quite like pushing into them and beyond

Short session back, still getting some technical stuff setup, but stopped running below EV! Won a 2k pot.

Here's to running hot for a little longer at least - also some tips from coach + tons of studying seems to be helping redline.

Did some digging into Jerimiah’s discord server, and found the accusations of graph faking for portemilio to be unsubstantial, would like to apologize for falsely accusing him. Given that this piece of evidence is untrue, it’s absolutely my responsibility to bring attention to it. Especially given that he’s running his own blog and posting results there now.

The RTA and site ban evasion stuff I still have an issue with. But can’t accuse ppl of stuff they didn’t do.

In SB's shoes would you 3b a few bucks less so you can re-pop if MP does shove? Or are you always wanting to play huge pots oop against two 550+bb stacks that you cover?

Although I guess the former is not the way you end up with a 1500+bb stack playing 47/36

Probably just gonna 3b smaller yeah. This club in particular driving all my volume atm. Games seem clean + quite soft so just gonna play it when I am able.

Would probably insist on playing 5c + a modest penalty for dipping into a timebank I think.
