Had a job, had a backing deal for cash, they started me out at 25nl reg tables, boosted up to 200z, had a solid few months of crushing for a really good (if unsustainable) winrate. Was planning to quit my job when I got 25k together. At this point I had about 17.

Lose job, have random 6k life expenses, lose horrendously for every session for 4 months straight. (Winrate is still reasonable overall despite this.) Can't afford rent or bills approaching a european winter of doom, field I work in means finding another job is virtually impossible, never worked shitty retail/bar jobs so even getting one of them is impossible when people see my CV. Nobody is staking for cash, MTT houses won't back people without recent high volume in MTTs, so enquired at a spin&go house, scraped together the last money I had to play 1000 of those for a period, straight up just gone in a 30 or so under EV buyin swing and not doing particularly well otherwise.

What the **** do I do boys

I think honestly the opportunity is not really there with online poker to many players

Nl200 and below are awful in terms of rake and everyone has super access to study tools which give very quick gto like answers and its so much easier to just study **** with a tool than what it used to be , this means winrates are going down , variance is big enemy for an average nl100-200 player ... stress is beyond measure , needing to get to some predatory cfp deal sucks the rest of the fun out

you need to work somewhere like Mcdonalds (lower the country you are from the more compatible the salaries are on for example fast food industries than working for some less known private companies at low entry jobs)

Then you try save with living expenses , live with friends / try live with parents / relatives to save up , then try to study something which you know you can sustainably work without hating it every day . I would look for unappealing yet decently paid industries such as being a trash driver / prison guard / immigration worker , something which is not too competitive to burn a person out and neither something way too boring ....

give up poker . Running 50-60 bb below ev is for reasonable volume player quite an annual thing , unless sun-running whole career (some guys really do)

Do whatever it takes.

You will figure it out if you are humble, honest, and serious enough.

Another backing deal probably isn't the correct next step right now.
