Well so far I'm failing hard against the title as I just turned 31 at the start of the year and currently sit plunged at the depths of my overdraft once more
after coming out of another extended spell of just smoking weed all day and basically just giving up.
This year I really need to change and want to put steps in place to become a more productive adult and hope people can contribute with financial, health and fitness and general lifestyle advice (which I will actually take on board unlike paisting and 6bet if your thinking it's going to be another of those threads, well I hope not!)
First though we need to focus on poker and getting a working bankroll. When It's comes to poker I'm pretty rusty just now but have plenty of experience with grinding up rolls. In my approx 10 years playing online I've grinded up small deposits ($100-$500) into $3k+ rolls a dozen times and to $10k+ 3 times. My biggest problem isn't degening them away playing too high it's that I way over spend when winning and really struggle with downswings and moving down levels so I just withdraw what I have left and stop playing for a few months then get the itch but by that time the moneys all gone and I have to start at the bottom again.
This is the main point of this thread so hopefully have some support to keep me grounded and cut the ****. Not going to post my full poker story at the moment but I used to post here as JesusEatsCheese and was a reg in the uNL BBV thread and such so if you remember me give me a holla though most of you seem to be ****ing millionaires and poker gods now so I imagine your busy.
Anyway here is my plan:
- Deposit £100 on Ipoker and start at 2€/4€ (had been playing party past 2 years but feel like a change but may switch back)
- Look to get to 10€/20€ asap (this will involve taking aggressive 15 to 20 bi shots whenever we can)
- Once I have 40bi for 20nl i'm going to withdraw winnings until i'm way out of my overdraft and a bit more financially secure
- Actually study and look to get settled at 50nl
- Make the push for 100nl where we can earn a nice bit monthly and look to invest.
Here's my graph and stake breakdown from last year, as you can see I can still crush the upper ends of the micros but struggle from there.
Payday is tomorrow and a Friday is always a good day to start so lets ****ing go!
