Overview


So Im starting my first Poker Goal/thread here on 2+2 just to really keep track of my own records and really log how I do in 2020, My Goal is to hit $250,000rmb by 2020 and see how I do by the end of the year.

Please note: all currency is in China RMB and i will be keeping the thread in RMB for simplicity sake, as of 2020 March 3rd the exchange rate is about 1usd:7rmb (250,000rmb: $35,800usd)


A little about myself, so im a 31year old Canadian born Chinese who has been playing poker since Highschool. Since moving back to China, I've been playing Poker Recreationally here and there are really started journaling my entries since 2019, I will post my 2019 results below for you guys too below.

I consider myself a complete nitish tag fish in terms of my poker playing style and I try to just keep my game simple and clean but im sure theres a ton of room for improvement.

I am playing as a side gig to and to have some passive income as I have my own buisiness ventures on the side and will not be playing full-time. Feel free to drop any questions about the current poker scene in China and questions regarding China in general and ill try to get back to everyone when available.


I started playing with the equivalent of about 700rmb (100us)and the games I play in China are super random and ranged from undergound cash games at 10/20, 20/40, 50/100 but the majority of the games I play are on an app called wepoker that functions under the radar. I play mainly with friends/classmates newbs and we started playing 2/4 but then the games got bigger and bigger and went to 5/10 - 50/100. Those games have stopped as we started suspecting that some friends were colluding but im not going into details in this post

In 2020, I will be playing the majority of my games on my cellphone at 5/10(ante 5) and 3/6(6) with random strangers I dont know. I will be avoiding the underground cash games cause i hate coming out smelling like smoke and because of the current coronavirus situation, the games are closed anyways.

Been out of the game for 2 months, played terribly the past 2 days and the results are killing me, i really need some time to get use to these mandatory antes 5/10(5ante), feel free drop some advice on adjustments
