Good evening my dear fellow pokerwizards!

A short introcution about myself:
I'm a 22 year old law student, I live in London. I would say I'm an average student at best, probably a tad worse. At the moment I'm stuggeling finding balance between playing poker and studying. I lack discipline, motivation and most importantly structure. That's the reason I'm starting this journal or w/e, I need some structure. I've thought about doing this for a loooong time but haven't found the stride. Finally, I managed to break the barrier!

I'm currently playing nl50 zoom (6max ofc) and been doing so for quite some time. I'm basically a rakebackgrinder , apart from rakeback, I'm breakeven over a span of 300-500k hands.

I've never had HM until today. Big mistake! I would say it's probably the biggest pokerrelated mistake I've ever done. A mix of laziness and not knowing the difference it actually makes.

Anyhow, my goal is to be able to be a winning player at nl100 before 2015.
That's really my only goal, I've never been a fan of having alot of goals, I feel like one is more than enough.

See you at the tables, back to the grind!

GL, should be achievable, if your BE at 50nl without a hud at zoom, then thats almost guaranteed to turn into a profit if you use your Hud correctly.

Thanks for the support bro!

I've never really done anything like this before, so be patient or w/e. I see people post hands in writing, but I prefer doing it in film. It's sort of a different dynamic reading opposed to watching film. I'm sorry for the lack of sound, my voice is currently on strike. I'll promise to post hands tomorrow or the day after with thoughts etc.

Here is a few hands from todays play:

Why do you bet QQ on a 26A board?

so that he can bet all of his range, if he always checks his air here and fold, and always check calls marginal hands, its easy for villain just to double barrell him off his hand.
on such a dry board it allows hero to bet random hands like 89s etc... and villains tend to give up Pocket pairs when an A is on the board, also folds out KQ etc

Although i check isn't always bad, depends on villains, if you think he will bluff when you check etc, then you can call 2 barrels
