Hey everyone, I have been a recreational player for a good 20 years but have finally decided to take it seriously.

The point of the thread is to keep me motivated as well as accountable to stick to the plan.

Game - No Limit Holdem Cash Games

Format - 6-Max / 6 Tabling

Starting Bankroll - $33.43

Bankroll Plan
NL2 - Able to reload if needed
NL5 - $150
NL10 - $300
NL50 - $2500
NL100 - $5000

Stats
VPIP - 19%
PFR - 13%
3-Bet - 8%
Fold to 3-Bet - 18%
C-Bet - 50%
Fold to C-Bet - 38%
Steal - 23%
Check/Raise - 5%

VPIP/PFR are what I am comfortable playing with both pre and post-flop without getting owned by regs/better players.

Will be posting frequently as my game progresses.

Any and all help is welcome.

I'm in the same boat as you. I just have different goals for how I want to grow. Best of luck with everything you've set out to do!

Day 1 sessions complete.

Previous Bankroll: $33.43
Current Bankroll: $39.04

Todays Session Observations:
Decided to not be as aggressive with AA/AK especially preflop.
Choosing some cold calls with AK (25%-30%) and some different sizings to AA when 4-betting (x2-x2.5 instead of x3-x4).

Seems to be helping my game as long as I pot control / am playing my A-game postflop.

Day 2 session complete.

Previous Bankroll: $39.04
Current Bankroll: $50.37

Played a very short session as I will be busy today, luckily got some nice rakeback rewards that boosted the bankroll nicely.

Had time and made my own Pokertracker, while Coinpoker allows you to download hand histories it doesn't support Pokertracker, Driverhud or HEM

So this is my own solution for now

Day 3 first session complete.

Previous Bankroll: $50.37
Current Bankroll: $60.30
Cashout: $28.16

The session started pretty rough initially as I was testing on 4-betting more and was losing chips left and right. Decided to tighten up a bit and flat/fold more which brought back my A-game.

Seems that bet sizing is very telling in microstakes into what opponents have. I have decided to use a uniform 25% pot flop, 50% pot turn, 100% pot on river to disguise my hands better with checks wherever needed.

Took a few days off and slowly got back into it today.
I feel somewhat sluggish and was playing my b-game but was able to turn a profit regardless.

Previous Bankroll: $60.30
Current Bankroll: $68.69

GL with the challenge!

Your stats don’t look that great at the moment. I’m not sure if you’re aware of it, but since you said any advice is welcome:

VPIP/PFR can definitely be a fair bit higher. I’d honestly be surprised if it’s possible to maintain a solid winrate on higher stakes with such nitty stats — assuming we’re talking about 6-max here.

I think something around 24 VPIP / 20 PFR should be a reasonable target.

Fold to 3-bet being around 50–60% is completely fine. Although in your case, since you open-raise so little, the stat is probably pretty distorted anyway.

C-bet frequency could also be higher.

I actually like that your fold to c-bet stat is below 40%.

Steal percentage can go much higher — especially because people in the blinds probably aren’t 3-betting enough and make a lot of postflop mistakes.

And on the flip side, you should definitely defend your blinds properly. Every orbit you don’t actively participate in is costing you winrate.

Yes I play 6-Max.

I've tried playing a higher VPIP but I feel I am always against hands that dominate me and I get spewy.

I guess the more I play the easier it will become.

Thanks for the feedback.

Haven't update in a while. I have started mixing in NL5 and NL10. I feel comfortable in NL5 but NL10 seems to have me playing badly mostly due to the swings being bigger.

Will be solely playing NL5 unless my bankroll takes a hit under $80 or I go above $300 for NL10.

Previous Bankroll: $68.69
Current Bankroll: $127.25
