I decided to make this thread to keep track of progress and hold myself accountable for certain tasks that I set myself.
First off I'm 25 from the UK and that is all I pretty much want to say about myself for right now.
I don't have a great poker story of how much I crushed and then Black Friday etc. I just enjoy playing the game and thought I would start this blog.
Been losing money since pretty much ever. Mainly due to boredom and throwing myself into stakes where I don't belong and the rest is history.
So today marks a new era. I have limited my cash game max to nl2 and nl5 on stars. Banned all other forms of poker except tournaments and stt below $1. Blocked Casino games and sports betting.
So now it's time for some goals.
My only longterm goal at the moment is to play 1M 6max cash hands in 52 weeks hopefully without reloading.
I will set myself weekly goals every Monday that I think are reasonable for my schedule as I work. Working isn't all bad though it allows me to put aside £40 per week for coaching. I will still have to shop around and seek my best option.
Week 1
Play 30k hands
Get 30 hands analysed in forum
Get educational material, video, article etc to study
I may post hands in here if this blog picks up for analysis.
Also If anyone can recommend any micro material I would be very greatful.
That is pretty much it for now I think. I have never tried one of these things properly so it may take me some time to make it easy on the eye and not a wall of text.
Anyway thanks for stopping by feel free to drop a comment any time
TL;DR nl2 fish gonna attempt to get better in 1M hands

Overall thoughts
I think I was mostly unlucky today running into set over set, Aces Vs Kings.
I think overall I played well enough I have alot to work on as there were hands that I possibly could have gotten away from.
If you are passing through any thoughts on these hands would be appreciated

CO folds, Hero raises to $0.04, SB calls $0.03, BB calls $0.02

BB mucked and lost (-$0.04 net)
Hero showed 5 K and lost (-$2 net)
SB showed 7 7 and won $3.90 ($1.90 net)
Now that I had a look at the hands my thoughts are:
Hand 1
I guess I can fold to the over bet shove on the turn the Villain may have flopped a flush but I guess he would GII OTF or turned straight but I think this would play more passive and his massive bet shows alot of strength.
In the end I don't know about this hand we have an overpair with a redraw to the nuts it is just very hard to lay down.
Hand 2
I wasn't going to post this one as I think this is just a cooler but I don't see myself getting away from this hand ever as a donk bet at nl2 can be a whole host of things I would just like to hear some thoughts on this one.
Hand 3
I think this was just a massive spew I find that donk leads tend to frustrate me as they can go either way between weak and strong. This one I raised which I don't think is bad but when he ships over the top a fold is correct in hindsight. Q K A high flushes beat me here not to mention the board is paired.
Call on the river is correct but as played it is a fold.
Hand 4
Here the Villain showed up with AQ
I think I butchered this hand completely I should have 4bet this hand pre I showed absolutely no aggression whatsoever in this hand and deserved to lose it I should have check raise got it in on the turn not only because of the result but because alot of draws are pot commited at this point and we are ahead of those so if turn get it in is best play.
Any input on these hands is greatly appreciated.
As you can see I have alot to learn but time is what I got also any good material you guys can suggest would be great thanks.
Today went a lot better than yesterday and I was much more happy with my game. I really focused on letting go of hands that I thought were behind. Some spots I let go today where previously I would not have maybe they were too nitty of folds who knows.
My thought process vs the raise on the river was that at the very best after his river raise it is a tie. He has more hands that are nutted here and possibly would not even reraise AK here.
2nd hand
I got a bit confused in this hand as to what he may have had I put him on a flush draw on the flop and the bet on the turn maybe a semi bluff? when the flush card comes I pretty much have my hand beat by either a flush or trips so laid it down.
3rd hand
Laid this one done maybe a little too light as the turn brings alot of draws however if I call the turn raise and the river bricks and he jams the rest of his stack I pretty much have to call and I feel this line is pretty much sets most of the time given how the hand played out.
4th hand
Not much to say here turn was horrible and pot size donk bet on the river is never the not the nuts I think
5th hand
Just don't see him doing this with trips or a set but I have called and been wrong many times villain could show up with 77-99 but at the same time he could have JJ. I think QQ KK and AA would raise pre here but it being nl2 who knows. In the end I decided a pot size bet a paired board I have seen this before so just laid it down and look for a different spot.
If you feel like leaving a comment on the hands or blog in general feel free to do so it will be appreciated. GL at the tables.
