Writing this basically makes me feel like a massive fish lol, but I'm finally gonna do some crypto gambling. I've got ~$3k that I'll quite happily set on fire. I've got my CB and binance accounts set up (apparently I got super lucky with binance since they stopped accepting new users the day after I registered), so I'm good to go.

No idea which alts I'm gonna buy etc. but I'm sure I'll figure something out. Got a lot of material I wanna look through over the weekend, even though I'm sure I'll still feel like a total fish no matter what I do/how much I read.

Hope you crush and win all the money this year, will be following closely obviously!

It’s not the best time to invest in crypto. Coins are going up 20x in a matter of months. But if you are really adamant about it, I’d recommend you check out crypto investor and data dash on youtube. They have some good balanced insights on the crypto market.

Wouldn't say adamant but there just doesn't ever seem to be a good time to invest. Won't do anything until I at least have some idea what I'm doing though (assuming that's ever gonna be the case).

Anyway, I appreciate the comment. I'll be sure to check out those channels.

    Time for a quickie. 100z:

I'm actually only up ~$3.2k for the month though since things haven't gone quite as smoothly when playing higher. I have this thing where I absolutely have to play horrendous poker the second I take any sort of shot at higher stakes.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the game more than ever right now. I've been getting quite a lot of coaching as well so I feel as though I'm constantly improving/actually becoming half-decent at the game.

The plan for february is 60k hands, continuing to play higher/taking shots, and putting in more Pio hours (atm I'm pretty horrible with it, so there's a ton of room for improvement).

Biggest hand of the month vs god reg and fish. Acceptable runout.

As for crypto I'm in for $6k and it's the worst (). Sticking with it for now/not gonna panic sell unless something drastic happens.

And um, a little dark, but life's pretty terrible right now outside of my online activities (not in objective terms I suppose since things are fine career-wise etc., but in terms of overall happiness things are pretty dire). Still being passive and not doing much about my situation/the fact I'm still living in this city. Gotta step things up in this department asap before I turn into an amoeba.

It would appear the circus is still in town,

Obv went from $2k to $0 in one session, as you do. Is there even any other way of doing it? Just gotta go all the way once you get the ball rolling. A fair bit of tilt involved I suppose, but sometimes it takes me a little too long to realize I'm actually playing poorly.

But yeah, not a total disaster, still hoping for a big February. Grind grind grind.

Still got 7ish days of play left though, aka 5 billion hands, so anything can happen I suppose.

Next week on Wednesday I'll be going to my old city for a work conference, and needless to say I snap-booked a hotel and took the rest of the week off within 60 seconds of finding out I was going. Live poker comin' up.

So yeah, last month was pretty **** lol. But I'm back at it now, hoping I'll be able to accomplish more this month in a variety of ways.

On Wednesday and Thursday I played a bunch of live poker (17 hours in total), which was a ton of fun as always, even though I only won $600ish. Live poker is honestly so absurdly easy it's crazy. It just never ceases to amaze me, and it probably never will as long as I'm still playing a lot of online poker.

              Fun/semi-interesting hand,

I'm in the SB w/ JJ. Someone in EP opens 2x, prob the first time this sizing's been used in live poker history, some ridiculously old man flats in MP, everybody else folds. I squeeze pretty big, EP folds, oldie calls. We're ~200bb eff. (~$600), flop's something like 457ssh, I bet pretty big, old-timer snaps, turn's the 8h, I x and it takes oldie 0.000001 seconds to xb, the river's a total blank like the 2c or something, I tank for a bit, decide to jam, and he ends up calling w/ QQ. Sad times.

              --

              Monstrous volume so far online,

              A quick update,

Need to play more obviously but it's always nice to be winning at this rate.

On a bit of a side note, all hell's broken loose at work. My boss (so, the guy who hired me/convinced me to move here) has been fired for #metoo-related reasons. An absolutely bizarre situation where 3 girls basically went '**** this guy' and decided to ruin him by claiming they've been sexually harassed and discriminated against. Zero evidence etc. as well obviously. 2018, what a time to be alive.

Went in for ~3 hrs today, decided to leave around midnight since the games were awful. I won another $910 though, so it wasn't all bad. +$7470 for the trip/over 30 hours (lol) of play.

Yeah man, definitely crazy how everyone's crushing everything.

The plan for April's basically this,

              1. Quit my job (gonna do the poker thing until August and then reevaluate)
              2. 60k hands online + a lot of Pio
              3. 80-100 hours of live play

Ish. It all sort of depends on how quickly my employer'll let me go.
