Gf is coming back after being stuck overseas for 2months so def gona be playing less and maybe not playing next week at all - although I want to continue the momentum so I may keep playing low volume for the time shes here till the 15th.

After accumulating quite a bit of burnout/fatigue, these past two weeks of low volume and spending a ton of time outdoors with my gf have been unbelievably refreshing. My energy levels feel like a solid 9.5/10 and mental clarity is back. Its strange how nearly 3 months of non stop poker/studying and being semi isolated (and not getting out that much) can affect overall well being. Unfortunately she is heading back overseas for family things for a couple weeks but then is back for the whole summer and look forward to it.

Weekly recap

Apart from playing too many tables (8-10) things are continuing smoothly this month. Still lowish volume but feeling good and slowly increasing the hours again. Bankroll is more than 100bi for 200plo but I feel like I play so much better over rolled. Maybe ill mix in some 200 next month.

Hey, no I dont watch/sub Nandez although I think some of his content could be decent for micros/basics from what Iv heard. In terms of getting better what Adrian said is pretty much it. Although looking at pure solver outputs in isnt going to make you a crusher imo itll give you a baseline of how you should be thinking about the game, I try to reinforce certain concepts over and over and once you cover various parts of the game tree you see clear patterns of strategy which solver likes/takes and you can implement what you see fit. Its also important to keep in mind how the population plays on average compared to solver and play around with that.

Not sure if ill play the next few days, weather has been amazing here in Vienna and feels so good to just chill outdoors and get some sun/fresh air. Happy with how I played this play month, I definitely underestimated the importance of having plenty of bankroll for plo. It sounds nitty but 200bi feels like a real sweet spot for me where swings dont really bother me at all. That being said I will probably add a table or two of soft 200 again, even though I am 5bb over 20k hands at 200 this year I think I will make more of a permanent shift when the roll nears 30k+.

Week going ok so far, just booked a quick September holiday for 5 days to Cannes with the gf. Also got Greece trip next month which is going to be 3 trips for this summer - not bad considering the situation (no relapsing corona restrictions ahead hopefully).

Study is going great, constantly learning and reinforcing concepts with solver has done wonders in cleaning up uncertain spots in-game. Have been putting in 3-4 solid study sessions a week. Poker volume is still low, but I did have food poisoning for a couple days and rested. May post some HH later!
