RIP. I was always a silent lurker but was always nice to come back and read about someone grinding/coming up from my home state. Just shocking. If anyone going through some **** feel free to reach out, there's always light at the end of the tunnel whether you can see or it not.

Followed your blog for a while and heard of your passing, we battled maybe once or twice on Pokerstars NJ or on WSOP (in some tourneys i think)? I grew up in the same area as you in CNJ and actually am from the town right by you. Even though I never knew you in person I think we would have gotten along.

Hadn't signed onto 2+2 in months, and only came back to see how Dan was doing.

So sad to hear, seemed like a great dude.

Anyone know what the issue was? Was it poker?

Absolutely brutal that a second attempt was even possible.

With respect to him, it had to have been. He posted about being dropped from his backing deal for MTTs at the end of April. Seems it was a fully backed situation for 5+ years that formed the basis of his life and lifestyle. He transitioned to playing cash on his own roll, posted about down swinging in his last real update here, then basically stopped updating.
